This was our 2nd stay at Inspiration Point and just as good as the 1st.... The house is amazing and sitting in the hot tub while it's snowing with the views is indescribable... This is a very nice mountain rental home. It's in a quiet, private location off the beaten path, maybe 4 miles or so from Highway I-40. The house is nicely decorated, and has a true "mountain getaway" feel. It has a large private deck in the back overlooking acres of forest with a stunning view of Byers Peak. There is also a hottub on the deck (we didn't get a chance to use it). There is a very comfortable living room on the lower (i.e. cellar) level, with a gas fireplace that really heats up the whole room - great in the wintertime (we have also rented this house during ski season). This house is a great base to use for hiking, x-c skiing or other outdoor activities. If you are downhill skiing at Winter Park and looking for shuttle service and convenience, then this may not be the place to stay - but you can check that out with the rental agency. Finally, I want to say that we rented this house through Destinations West, and they are a great group of very nice, knowledgeable, professional people you can trust who live in the area and really enjoy their work. They have been very good to us over the years and we keep coming back and renting from them.

Staying at Inspiration Point is always a soothing and relaxing experience. The accommodations are topnotch and the setting is extraordinary, looking out across Devil's Thumb Ranch valley and Byers Peak. The good folks at Destination West always make our stay a pleasure with good advice on dining out, and by being flexible and responsive to our particular needs. We spent a weekend at Inspiration Point. I was one of the best homes we have ever stayed at. Georgous views and a very warm feel from the log cabin atmosphere. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking to GET AWAY! It is a little ways off of the beaten path which we really liked!
