We've been to Sea Ranch and Gualala many times over the past 18 years and stayed in a number of different rental homes. This is one we'll return to. The views were remarkable, the layout of the house and proximity to town provided both privacy and convenience. An eclectic book and DVD collection (with plenty of "classics") suited all of us in the family, ranging in age from 4 to 55. As mentioned by all, a well-stocked kitchen. We even made ice-cream. Niceties not provided in other homes were ample -- spa towels and robes, plenty of binoculars, toys and board games, etc. All in all a winner!

My husband and I spent a wonderful 4 days in "Serendipidy" The house is very well designed and thought out to take advantage of the surrounding area. The views,attention to detail,furnishings,amentites,and the fact the owners called to touch base made this the best home we have rented. This house has a 180 degree view of the Gualala River and ocean. The sunrises and sunsets could be viewed from any where in the house. The 2 decks were a great design plan to take advantage of the clear,sunny days for sun bathing and at night hot tubbing under the stars. We could not have asked for anything more.The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the bedding! Just great! We felt at home and relaxed from the moment we entered the front door. Coasting Home was also very easy to work with and helpful. For a short trip from home this location and house did what any great vacation does...relax and rejunivate.We can not wait to return to this serene location. I don't want to forget the town of Gualala. Is a cute little town with very friendly and happy residents, good markets and restaurants. What a beautiful home!! This was our first time visiting the Pacific Coast and the views from Serendipity were just breathtaking. The house had every amenity we could possibly want, and the craftsmanship was outstanding. Restaurant choices are somewhat limited and close early, but other than that we have no complaints. Coasting Home was a pleasure to deal with in learning about the property and making arrangements. We also spoke with the owner who was absolutely lovely and helpful, and let us know about a meteor shower we were able to view from the deck. Such a nice surprise!

We loved that the house had privacy but you could walk to the local, well-equipped grocery store and restaurants in just a few minutes. We found ourselves torn between wanting to explore the area and just stay at Serendipity and look at the gorgeous views. In the end, we stayed in most of the time and loved it.

The house was incredibly well-provisioned in terms of books, movies, robes, blankets, kitchen stuff...really anything you could want and more. It is obvious that a lot of care and consideration has gone into making this a nice place for guests.

We almost never discuss returning to a vacation spot, as there are so many destinations on earth to explore. But we have already talked about when we can return to Serendipity.

Like anyone reading this, we read through all of these glowing reviews about Serendipity when we were looking for a rental home and thought, "This place sounds nice. But should we do it?" The idea of renting a house you've never seen can be a bit daunting. I'm here to tell you that you should absolutely stay here and don't hesitate. We feel like we stumbled upon a real gem and you will too!

Sernendipity was outstanding! Our stay was perfect in every way! The home was beautiful and very well equipped! While the owners were not presumptuous, they were available by phone to answer questions about vacationing California and were very friendly and helpful! We found their home to be one of the most comfortable amoung the many that we have rented. The sound of the ocean crashing on the shore would lul you to sleep, the views from the decks in the day and night were wonderful, and the hot tub was very relaxing and easy to operate. The images depicting this rental are excellent representations of how it looks. Gualala is remote as are many places in this area. However, we found this to be charming. The people are friendly,the beaches in the area are beautiful and the drive in and out is gorgeous. We believe that this rental is the best value in this part of the country and recommend it without reservation!
