My husband and I have visited Kauai each year for the past 6 years. We love the Haena area and have always rented a house for our vacation stay. This was our first time renting a home that was not on the beach. We were not dissapointed. The home was so comfortable we loved the "garden" setting and could hear the ocean when sleeping at night. The walk to the beach was so short - we actually looked forward to the short walk! The outdoor hot and cold shower was so convenient to use - right at the base of the stairs. Our 26 year old daughter joined us for part of our stay. She loves to cook and enjoyed preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen and grill provided. We would definitely return to Haena Place Hale. For the price, you'll never find a better place to stay in Haena! Great setting, private, spacious, big lanai's, walking distance to Tunnels. We've stayed many times and will stay again.

Haena Place is a short stroll away from one of the most gorgeous beaches
in the world. From sunrises to sunsets, we enjoyed walks up the beach to
Haena Park and out on the reef at low tide for a panoramic view of the
majestic mountains including Mount Makana, swimming with the turtles,
finding puka shells and snorkeling Tunnels beach. Making bonfires on the
beach and watching shooting stars at night ended our relaxing and
adventurous days. The access to Kee beach, the NaPali trail, Hanalei bay and
town and great restaurants was convenient. The house has a well equipped
kitchen with plenty of dishes, pots and pans and cooking utensils, plenty of
nice cotton towels, a large washer and dryer and a very comfortable dining
room, living room and lanai. Tucked on the end of the cul-de-sac...the
privacy is great. Bathrooms, fridge and kitchen floor could be updated.
House has no a/c but plenty of windows for cross ventilation. Bedrooms are
modest but comfy with plenty of closet space. The house is a bargain
considering the location and the price of rentals on the beachfront. An
affordable place with a great location! Aloha!!!

We had an amazing time in Kauai. This was our family's second trip together to Kauai, staying in Anahola in the past. This year we wanted to stay closer to our favorite beach (Tunnels) and the Na Pali Coast. What a great idea that was! We walked to the beach every day and night for sunset, went hiking on nearby trails, and explored other parts of the island during the day, always coming home to a homecooked meal and relaxation on the big lanai. The house is newly decorated (updated pictures is recommended on the websites) and very cute! We were expecting an outdoor shower, but besides that everything else was absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing, and if you ever want to stay on the mainland we could certainly arrange a house-swap!
