We just returned from a wonderful week on the cape, our first time renting a cottage there. The house was clean, smartly decorated, and well-stocked with (almost)every kitchen item that we needed, including paper products. A phone call was all it took to receive a new can opener and we were good to go! The washer & dryer are large capacity (and new), and the beds are very comfortable.
The walk to the beach was lovely, and the relative seclusion of the property, with a small stream and town park on the west border a very nice touch.
I would recommend only 4 adults, since the loft (with queen size bed)offers no privacy. Since we were there in cool weather, the only useable shower was in the downstairs bath, and 4 of us maxed out the bathroom useage there. Also, dishes for more than 4 would be a chore without a dishwasher!

| My mom, sister and I wanted to go away to the beach for a week and this was perfect for our needs. With three bedrooms and one downstairs so mom didn't have to climb stairs, we loved our little home away from home. The kitchen was perfect for breakfast and lunch. We ate dinner out every night, but it was fully stocked to cook in, if you wanted. We easily shared the one shower downstairs and my sister and I shared the half bath upstairs for brushing teeth, drying hair, etc. After mom went to bed at night, my sister and I went out on the upstairs deck and talked until the wee hours of the night. In the morning, there were plenty of places to go to make those private calls to our husbands. We did have some problems with the TV/VCR upstairs, but just cuddled in moms room at night to watch movies. This year, I'm renting it again with my husband. Although the week we rent is in June and not yet "high" season, it's perfect for me. Not too crowded, centrally located, easy to get around, parking was free at the beaches because it was too early in the season. We'll probably use the grill more this year and in general, run around less, relax more, and enjoy the house. I don't know if it has a/c because we didn't need it last year. There's a nice playroom for kids upstairs. One queen upstairs in an open area with a living room feel with a couch, table and TV. The other upstairs bedroom has two beds. I think they're twins. That room has a TV, too. The master downstairs has a queen. Huge closets, too. The beds are so comfortable. We didn't have a lot of people staying around us. But, like I've said, it was June. A few people came for the weekend, but we had the place to ourself during the week. The street the house is on is very private. It's off a main street. The ocean is off in the distance. You can't really hear it. But you can walk to it. I'd drive with beach chairs though. That's all I can think of. Enjoy the place. I did. |

| My family and I had a great time in this house. The location was great, walking distance to beach and we were amazed at how fully loaded it was , we really know for next time that fully loaded means just that,right down to the placemats and toys for the kids. I would definately stay there again however with 4 people as apposed to six. |

We have stayed in this home for two years and have thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. There is plenty of room, a nice yard with gas grill, outdoor shower and nice view. The inside is well decorated, with washer/dryer, tv's in all bedrooms and living room. Kitchen is small, but has a counter to sit at and a lovely dining room. House is very neat and clean.
It is only a short walk to a beautiful beach and is a great area to take walks.
Would definitely recommend this place if you want to be in a more secluded, residential area. |
