Richurd's review of Piero
The location in a neighborhood rather than with thousands of tourists. It was very peaceful, yet close to everything when wanted or needed. The people who met us and checked us out spoke almost no English, but we communicated very well and appreciated their patience with us and our limited Italian. They were kind, helpful and reliable.
Nothing! It was excellent!

Michael J.'s review of Piero
FANTASTIC. It was one of the best weeks of our lives!
The property was clean and very well located. It was in a central location close to any of the sestieri, close to two vaporetto stops, and was just enough off the beaten path of San Marco's one-day tourist traffic to make it convenient and quiet. Restaurants, grocery stores and other stores are a 5-minute walk from the apartment. The apartment had a clean, modern kitchen and bath and a beautiful balcony in the rear overlooking a quiet public courtyard. The courtyard balcony was a great place to sit and have breakfast listening to the bells of San Stefano, San Samuele, and Sant Angelo. Even though we didn't use it, we appreciated that there was air-conditioning available in the unit. We had no complaints about the property itself at all. We were very pleasantly surprised.
The only minor complaint we have concerns the Keyholder. She is a very congenial and pleasant woman but she speaks no English. Communication was extremely difficult even using limited Italian and French. We ended up calling her agency to speak with someone who spoke English.
Again, we enjoyed the central location in San Marco but away from the massive throngs of day tourists. We picked one or two of the sestrieri every day and visited that area for the day, either walking or using the vaporetto to get there. We made a 2 hour lunch the main meal of our day as it is very hot mid-day. We were able to visit all the sestieri and Burano and Murano during our week stay. Burano was very beautiful and quiet and we enjoyed the vaporetto ride out to the island. Piazza San Stefano is a 5 minute walk from the apartment and a great place to grab a coffee and gelato in the evening and just sit and people-watch.

Maggi's review of Piero
Location, good bed, kitchen.
Communicating with landlords who spoke no English. The front door lock was broken when we got there. Maria finally called someone who spoke English who could tell us what we should do. It is important to have a contact who can be reached that speaks English. Would like some "Teflon pans" in kitchen.
Great little shops for food, wine, restaurants, art galleries, an Internet place where you could rent computers by the minute, to check your email in Campo Stefano.

Leo And Catherine's review of Piero
The lady who looks after the property was very kind and helpful.
Central and in a very nice part of Venice. Excellent amenities.
Nothing. It was all good.
The trattorie, architecture, art shops. It was also far enough away from the main attractions not to have too many tourists.
