Chum Bucket met all of our expectations. The updated decor was refreshing. We especially enjoyed the master bedroom which is very large and has its own access to the front screened porch. The walkway (37th Street)from the cottage to the beach had minimal stairs and some shade.
The picnic table on the lower level was a welcome surprise. The laundry is on the lower level and a bit inconvenient but the pluses outweighed that minus. |

| We have been coming to Sunset Beach for 17 years, and the Chum Bucket was one of the very nicest properties we've stayed at. We definitely would rent this property again, and highly recommend it. The decor was lovely, and the house was well-stocked, close to the beach, and fully wi-fi. |

Chum Bucket was a terrific place to call home for a week. The new flooring and appliances were wonderful and the decorating and painting made it feel like an airy refuge near the sea - exactly what it was!
This house is has EVERYTHING you can think of including a completely equipped kitchen as well as beach necessities such as sand pails, beach chairs, boogie boards and even a couple of bikes (though they were locked up and no combination was available for the lock).
The 37th Street beach access was just a few steps down the road and it was just a quick walk across the dunes to reach the pristine sands of Sunset Beach. This was perfect for making a quick jaunt back to the house to put together lunch and restock the cooler.
Hopefully the bathrooms will be updated in the coming years to match the rest of the improvements that have been done that make this rental property a beautiful little blue gem! We already have our tentative reservation for 2009 and can hardly wait to make Chum Bucket our home away from home again! |

| Half a block from the beach and on a very family friendly island, this house is adorably and professionally decorated. Light breezy colors on clean, new furnishings really give that vacation feeling. The house has 3 TVs, beautiful bedrooms and common areas. Kitchen nicely appointed. Nice landscaping, and in May, the neighbor's jasmine provides a wonderful fragrance when sitting on the front porch! |

I'm the proud owner of Chum Bucket and a professional interior designer. My priority when decorating our home was to turn an ugly duckling into a boutique vacation rental - a visual and practical cut above the rest. A lot of love (and paint!) has gone into our home.
But the beauty isn't just skin deep. We replenish the kitchen equipment, pillows and mattress covers every year. We invested in quality mattresses so everyone can get a good night's sleep after a long day at the beach.
