| We used Inn Kohutes for a work retreat and it was perfect. We're a small company and there was plenty of space for everyone! The beds were comfortable, the sheets dreamy and the kitchen was fully stocked, to say nothing of the hot tub which was the perfect transition for us between being "at work" and being "off work". Also the staff of Russian River Getaways was uber responsive; they forgot to leave us extra trash bags and the laundry key so we called them and they came out to the house within an hour(!), were super friendly and gave us an extra bottle of wine "for our trouble". |

Beautiful setting - nice home - no hot tub. :( |

The house is very tidy -- except for some
slightly dirty carpet -- and housed 6 of us,
plus 2 toddlers with no problem. It was well
appointed and very comfortable. The fireplace,
bright & open livingroom, and wrap around deck
are very nice.
Unfortunately, the hot tub did not work -- it
never got warmer than 72 degrees during the
whole weekend. This was honestly one the
primary requirements we had about renting a
place. I won't tell the entire story about the
management company and their 'response', but
I'll summarize it this way: They ended up
saying that they would credit us $25 per night
for our stay because it was non-functional. We
still haven't seen that money. This is the 2nd
time we have stayed at a Russian River
Getaways managed property and the second time
we've had issues like this (place not as
advertised). Needless to say we won't be
staying with them again.

Manager Response: March 29, 2009 |
| We certainly are apologetic about Jason's refund. One of our booking agents tried to run the credit the day after Jason checked out, but didn't do it properly and it did not go through. As soon as Jason emailed us about it, we immediately credited him. Unfortunately, hot tub malfunction is one of those things that we cannot make right at the time; we are dependent upon the hot tub maintenance companies---sometimes they can go right away and fix the problem, sometimes parts have to be ordered and there is no immediate fix. |

| I stayed with some friends at Inn Kohutes for three nights, and it was such an incredible experience that we are already dreaming and scheming about Part Deux. The cabin is completely isolated, hidden among redwoods with no neighbors in sight. Everything about it was perfect and magical. The way the light filters in through the trees and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, the wrap-around porch, the rustic dining table, the old board games and random discoveries and even the vintage aqua-colored kitchen all lent to its charm. The first thing we noticed when we got there was a bottle of wine and two glasses set out on the table, which was really such a nice touch because it hadn't been advertised as part of the deal. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need for six people (and lucky for all of us since my boyfriend is a chef!). Soaking in the hot tub under the stars was nothing short of sublime. Whether it was the spacious bedding, the pure air, or simply the feeling of tranquility that prevails amongst good friends, we all reported record good sleep. Also, I had never been to the Russian River region before and was immediately taken by the plethora of outdoor activities, fantasic wineries, and simply the kindness of strangers that one tends to miss out on living in the city. Such a wonderful adventure and a great value, especially with the winter deal they are offering (3rd night free). The staff at Russian River Getaways were also very kind and helpful. Now our only dilemma is deciding whether to go back to Inn Kohutes or try out a different property! |
