We rented this home for an adult family reunion. The house is well-equipped
with flat screen TV's in every room. We enjoy cooking as a family and found
the kitchen to be lacking in some utensils and especially good sharp knives,as
well as serving pieces. There is a good view of the bay from the front
porch,but could use a wind break so one could sit out and enjoy it. The blinds
in the living room need work. All in all we had a great time.

Beautiful large living area and fabulous kitchen - great for a group. Big decks - view over other houses to the ocean but quite appealing. Very lovely master bedroom with lots of windows and nice bathroom - other three bedrooms in back are small but comfortable.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gull Getaway.

The things we liked best about the home were the floor plan, large deck, all the t.v.'s and the fact that we could easily walk to the beach. However, we had some issues with the house. The main issue was the beds. Most had terrible mattresses in which you could feel the springs. The twin beds had pads over the mattresses but they constanly slipped around. The bed linens seemed old (most didn't match) and one twin bed had a blanket with many holes in it. There were not enough towels and wash cloths for 8 people; we had to do laundry everyday in order to take our showers. There was an iron but no ironing board. The can opener would barely open a can (we went out and bought our own.) There was only one med.to large pot which made it difficult when cooking certain items for 8 people (again we went out and bought a large pot.) There were also just a few larger bowls, making it difficult when serving 8. There could have been more silverware; we seemd to always run out before it was time to run the dishwasher. Speaking of the dishwasher, we felt it wasn't cleaning properly; sometimes we couldn't remember if we had turned it on and couldn't always tell by looking at the dishes. The coffee pot is on it's last leg. There was a broom but no dust pan. No one seemed to be checking the lighting; the light ouside over the steps didn't work, one of the lights over the dining table was out, spots in the living room were out, a light in the ceiling light/fan in the master bedroom was out. And lastly we should mention that the DVD player in the living room seem to have a problem; it would not play all DVDs. Unfortunately, we felt that overall the house wasn't being maintained and we would not rent this house again.

We had a fabulous trip to Bodega Bay and loved the Gull Getaway home. It was large enough to accommodate our family and had all the amenities a person could ask for. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items you might need for a dinner in. Our children loved the ping pong table and game basement. The home was beautifully decorated and inviting.

The Getaway is in a perfect location to meet everyone's needs. We loved to walk the neighborhood and even found our way to walk along the beach (this was a bit of a walk but very do-able)
