We love staying at The Islander. The free amenities are a great asset for families, especially those with children. It also saves money on things to do. The location can't be beat. My husband and son would walk to the jetties to fish every morning. The condo isn't brand new, but they strive to keep up everything. I guess the only complaint that I would have is not having towel exchange everyday (only on Wednesdays). Also, a washer and dryer in each Condo would be nice. It feels like a very safe place to stay. We can't wait to go back!

What can I say? 5th time staying at the Islander, and it only gets better. There's no better value on the beach. Nice property, spacious rooms, and right on the beach on Holiday Isle, which is, in my opinion, the best part of Destin.

Unlike previous years, we went in mid-September this time, which greatly reduced the crowds. A plus in most cases, although on a couple of the weeknights, it was a little lonely. Still, that was really a function of the time of year, because in previous years when we went during the summer, it was hoppin'!

If you're looking for a nice, clean place to stay on Holiday Isle (in the heart of it all) and don't want to shell out a couple of grand, you can't go wrong at the Islander.

We stay at the Islander every year. We love the property and the entire staff is always so helpful. Since they have added the amenity package it is definitely a win/win for us. Great rates at the property and discounts on the fun stuff we enjoy!

This unit provides a great view and a convenient location within The Islander. Everything in the unit seems to be in working order and is sufficient. The decor and the furniture could use some extensive updates. I would go so far as to say that the comfort of the living furniture is lacking. Additionally, the carpet, the counter tops and some of the wall coverings need to be replaced. A plus: they have removed a row of cabinetry in the kitchen, allowing a better view of the ocean. More...
