Great place, especially for the price
Great service, nice and friendly staff, many amenities to use. Condo was great, had everything we needed in the kitchen and baths. Balcony facing the beach was nice and had a table and chairs. Picture Deceiving
Online, the photo was appealing, however, upon arrival, the room definitely wreaked the smell of dampness and mildew. The smell never left during our entire 5-day stay. We had several family members staying in other rooms on the premises, and it was quite visible that their rooms were recently refurbished, and the smell was quite pleasant. I'm hoping that this particular condo is up for remodeling, because it definitely needs upgrading. The beds were not comfortable, and the fact that towel exchange is only once a week, along with bedding changes, was disappointing. The air conditioning was not up to par either. The filter defintely needed changing. We've stayed there several times in prior years, but will look for another location on our next trip towards the end of 2009. The location is prime and easy access to swimming pools and beaches, but the condo fell short of our expectations. More...

I am sorry your stay with us was not as pleasant as you had hoped. I wish you had contacted us regarding the smell in your unit and given us the opportunity to mske it right. We would have been happy to either fix the problem or move you to another unit that was more to your satisfaction. I certainly hope this isolated incident won't deter you from returnig to our great property.
Quiet, Relaxing Vacation on the Beach
The Islander was a great place to stay. We chose the Islander because we wanted an apartment-style room rather than a hotel room. Kitchen was convenient and fully stocked, two full bathrooms, comfortable decor and furniture, peaceful gulf view from balcony. The size of the beach was a little smaller than expected, but it was not a busy week so it wasn't a problem. There are great public beaches close by. Very convenient to shopping/dining/entertainment. The heated pool is great in the evening. Everything was very well maintained and very clean. This was my first time to Florida and there is a great chance I will choose the Islander again. More...
