Guest Reviews for Cabin 05

August 2009
A wonderful old-style resort in the middle of everything you could ever want
in the Rockies. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the fly shop gives away more
secrets than it probably should. All in all a terrific experience.
The rooms are not air conditioned, which, while certainly not needed at night
(in the low 40's), did make for some long afternoons (in the low 80's). My
daughter and I were fishing in both the mornings and evenings and would
come back to the room to rest in between. We went to Gunnison. bought a
fan, and life was certainly better. It likely wouldn't have been an issue any
other month of the year. For what it's worth, no accommodations in Almont
have air conditioning. More...

A Great Escape
Even though we live in the beautiful town of Ouray, Colorado, my wife and I needed a few days of "escape time" to get away from running our 2 retail stores and wholesale distribution business. We spent 2 nights at Three Rivers Resort. We went in to Crested Butte for half a day and then returned to the resort where we just relaxed and unwound on the swing in the courtyard. We toured the grounds, walked by the river, and then enjoyed a great BBQ dinner at the restaurand adjoining the Lodge. We do plan to return in the near future and spend more. More...

Three Rivers Resort - Great Value!!
I first learned of the Three Rivers Resort through the Colorado Mountain States televised fishing show wich featured an episode about Salmon fishing. The host, Terry Wickstrom, suggested your lodge and fishing guides to his viewers. The following season (2007), I rented one of your cabins and hired one of your guides and the experience was outstanding. The lodging was clean, well maintained, competivly priced, and your staff were courteous and professional; they answered all of my questions. Guide Jerry was excellent and had me catching Salmon almost immediately, it was truly a great first memorable experience. Visiting Three Rivers Resort has now become an annual traditiion for me. In 2008 I brought a friend, and in the fall of 2009, I will book a visit when my brother visits from Phoenix. If anyone is considering visiting Three Rivers Resort, make the phone call, you will be treated right. Three Rivers Team, see you in September of 09!! More...
