The cosmopolitan resort of Protaras has become a European holiday hot-spot in recent years. Situated on the south-east coast of Cyprus, the resort stretches for over 10 kilometres, from the high cliffs of the Cape Greco national park to the hidden sandy coves of Paralimni.
Protaras, the tourist area of Paralimni, is one of the most picturesque areas in Cyprus and is famous for its numerous sandy beaches and clear waters, many of which have received the ‘blue flag’ award.
The area has for many years been the most productive area of Paralimni. Hundreds of watermills situated throughout the region provide not only pretty landscape but also give testimony to how the land has been used agriculturally over the last fifty years.
Before the Turkish invasion, only a handful of facilities and restaurants operated on the beautiful beaches of Paralimni and Protaras, during the summer months. This would attract many customers from Ammochostos and the villages of the area. This summer activity continued until 1974. After the Turkish invasion and for some years, Protaras remained unchanged. The present rapid growth commenced in around 1977. It was then that the first hotels and tourist apartments began to be built and the area began to grow rapidly.
Today, with over 300 establishments, ranging from bars, cafes, restaurants and tavernas to jewellery shops and boutiques, it's easy to see why it is one of the island's most popular resorts. Coastal location, attractions, amenities and rental potential have made Protaras one of the most in-demand areas on the East Coast. Whether you require sun-filled days at the beach or long warm evenings enjoying Cypriot cuisine in one of the numerous superb restaurants, this East coast jewel promises to keep you returning again and again.

Villa Eliza was above our expectations and very well equipped for our holidays at Protaras! Villa was as described in great and quiet location just 5 min. walking away from the centre of Protaras all the restaurants, bars, lovely sandy beach of Fig tree bay. This great seafrond villa was absolutely gorgeous and we had everything we needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay plus internet access that helped some of us a lot. Thank you to all the staff at Villas2let who made our holiday an easy and enjoyable experience!!!!

Our family stayed in villa Eliza this summer and we wanted to thank you for the wonderfull holiday and the fantastic accommodation which was first class. The sea views from the property were amazing and we could watch the daily boat trips whilst we relaxed by the swimming pool. We could keep in touch with family back home as we had internet access. Our children loved also to play on the private beach in front of the villa.
Thanks also to your staff as they looked after us from the begining of our holiday and right to the end. WE WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK!!!! See you next year.
