Description from the owner
2 bedroom ground floor apartment, newly renovated. We live upstairs in our 3 bedroom, and we renovated downstairs into 2 apartments, a 1 bed and 2 bed.
The style is simple, and very comfortable. We have tried to give you everything you need from beach chairs and cooler to take with you for the day. Full kitchen allows you to cook at home if you want to, although we have so many good restaurants on Island its not really needed.
Our guests have really enjoyed the beach, its rare to find anyone on it as its not on Grace Bay.
Our favourite sunday treat is to walk down the beach and have a rum punch or two, watch the pelicans f...Read more

Columbus, OHJust the best vacation ever
Left on 05/06/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We originally rented the 1 bedroom apt but were upgraded by our lovely host to the 2 bedroom. The apt was spacious with 2 baths, all the kitchen equipment you would need, a washer/ dryer and wifi. We were able to walk to the beach within 3 minutes or with our rental car explore all the other glorious beaches on the island. Our first night we walked to the famous "conch shack" for traditional cracked conch-yum. Other nights we cooked in after gathering supplies at the well stocked local IGa or tried a few of the marvelous local restaurants for the rum punches and sunsets. I really appreciated the quiet simplicity of the old beach house which really is a misnomer. Emma, our host, was so helpful with island information and willingly answered so many questions. She treated us to papayas off the trees just outside our room and made us feel welcome and comfortable in so many ways. I can't wait to come back.

Camano Island, WAGood value

"Pros" - Reasonably priced for T&C.; Comfortable (not fancy) two-bedroom apt each with a private 3/4-bath, along with a living room, full kitchen & dining area. Located at the end of a dirt road in a quiet residential area. Friendly, helpful owner lives upstairs. Walking distance to a fun beachfront restaurant, Horse Eye Jack's (skip the Conch Shack).
"Cons" - Off the beaten path. Apt only has a tiny patio; no where else to relax outside. I didn't want to rent a car, so taxi service was required to go anywhere and that took some arranging due to the apt's location ($30-$50 us to get into and back from Provo). You also must walk through the neighbor's yard to get to the beach.
All in all, the price reflects the inconveniences. Make sure you have your airport pick-up arranged in advance and the driver knows how to find the place.
