DallasPrivacy on the beach---what more could you want?
Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Fabulous place! The house was adorable, well equipped and perfectly situated on a quiet part of the beach. If you like long beach walks and are willing to negotiate the rocky parts, it's perfect. If you want soft flat sand, stay further east on Grace Bay. But you won't find the tranquility that you find here! We spent every morning with coffee sitting on the rocks at shore edge as the water washed over our feet...and everyone evening watching the sunset over the hill on our rock with our feet submerged. The food on the island is fabulous---don't miss Coco Bistro or the restaurants w/i walking distance of the casita. We will be back! Thanks to the wonderful booking staff for the best help ever in finding things and making sure our stay was perfectly delightful.

35805Perfect Villa for Couples
Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Our second stay at Ballyhoo was great! Wonderful little villa. Right on the beach and a short walk down the beach to the best off beach snorkeling in the Providenciales. It's a short walk to Turtle Cove where there are a handful of fine restaurants. We will be back again!

This was our first trip to Provo & we could not have picked a better place to stay. Ballyhoo is just as it looks in the pictures. Everything was immaculate and well equipped. Quiet beach out the back door with great snorkeling & marina out the front. Away from the resort area, close to great restaurants. Private pool & hammock under a palapa. It was truly paradise. We grilled fresh lobster on the bbq a couple of nights, cooked most breakfasts in and enjoyed some wonderful dinners at various restaurants. Shandon was very helpful during the booking process, answering my many questions promptly. We will definitely be staying here again.

DFWPerfection!
Left on 12/05/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We had a wonderful week in Provo, and Ballyhoo exceeded our expectations. The cottage was perfect - roomy, clean, and comfortable - we truly felt like it was our own home for the week. We loved the extra security that the neighborhood has, since it is a public beach - it was nice not to worry about late night beach parties being noisy nearby.
The location of the cottage in the Turtle Cove area was perfect - we did not want to be in the midst of touristy/resort areas, and we wanted to be on the beach and able to snorkel. After leaving, we are truly convinced that this was the perfect location - good restaurants, fairly calm/quiet, and Smith's Reef snorkeling was wonderful. The only downside was getting from the airport to the cottage - we had to wait for another group of people staying at a nearby villa to get in their car and follow us over, and it ended up taking an extra half hour that we much rather would have spent going to the grocery and getting acclimated. All in all, not a big deal.
We will definitely return again! -

We spend a week every winter at Ballyhoo, this year we will be going for a longer period.
The cottaage itself is on the beach, on a secluded lane with much privacy. It is decorated beautifully, has a beautiful stainless steel kitchen with the best of appliances, and granite bathroom, big kingsize bedroom with french doors leading to the patio and pool. There is a pagoda overlooking the sea and the marina, and from there a few steps down to the beach. Maid service is mid-week and very early on the last day of your stay. Everything you need is provided. Food shopping at the IGa on Saturday is crowded and nerve-wracking, but it is closed on Sunday and arrival at the villa is Saturday. You really do need to rent your own car and visit all of the beaches. Go to the Northbeach and wade into the pirate's cave, you will see real pirate "autographs" there. Good snorkleing is right in front of the villa, and a few yeards to the right up the beach a bit is even better snorkling. Eat at DaConchShack, it is an exciting drive on terrible roads to get there but well worth it. Do take a snorkling trip on one of the boats, the captains provide everything you need and a terrific lunch too. -

This villa was the perfect place for a really relaxed holiday. It is a two minute drive from 4 good restaurants and a ten second walk from the sea. Having explored the island this is the best place to swim and snorkel.
Even found the DVD store close by. -

Fantastic cottage - everything there you could wish for. Very spacious with great quality fixtures and fittings. Massive comfy bed in a large bedroom with great en-suite. It's the first place I have stayed where it's excatly as per the photos - infact probably better.
Direct access down to a (very) quite beach and even though it is a public beach it was practically empty - bar the occasional snorkeller. It's quite near the access point to the marina, so there were regular comings and goings with fishing and dive boats. Access to the local reef is just on the same stretch of beach, the reef was only about 10 yards out and home to some nice fish including lobsters!
The staff were very helpful and friendly and we were met at the airport and guided to our villa (in our rental car). There is maid service, a gardener and pool service once a week - but it's no inconvenience and they will work round you.
You will need a car if you are renting the villa as the nearest supermarket it about 2 miles away and although there are about 4 restaurants within walking distance (Turtle Marina), the majority of the others are about 10-15 mins away by car.
I would recommend this place for couples who want to get away from it all - to enjoy the peace, quite and relaxation that this island and cottage has to offer...
