World-wide TravellerA great original place, great value
Left on 12/15/2012 for a stay in December 2012
To be perfectly clear: this is a big, very original place to live. The high ceiling, the 2 showers, the impressive dining table, the nice sleeping room upstairs give a very special cachet.
What amazed me is that, despite be almost next door to the entertainment buzz, you will have most nights without any noise. There was just a bit of a live band on Friday and Saturday, but they stopped playing at the reasonable time of 1 am. Aside that, you feel like in the countryside. You can leave the entrance door open on your private patio to enjoy fresh air while keeping your privacy.
So for that value, if you spend a few days or more, go into confidence.
Now remember that you are in argentina, and this country is going down. We had a few technical issues, which Management confirmed they would address - make sure that the blackout curtains are installed. Also, internet is not reliable, but my argentinean colleagues confirm that this is widespread... so we cannot blame the apartment. Try to bring your USB (I advise the good apartments-Ba to rent their own). Also bring mosquito spray.
Apartments-Ba has been very honest with payments and refunds. I also compliment the great help-book they provide.
Buenos aires is not like Europe or the States, so you must be ready to adapt yourself. Do not be scared by the entrance door. This place features loads of charm, up to you to enjoy it. -

San Francisco, CALocation Location Location!

My partner and I went with my brother (who is a seasoned Ba visitor). The apartment was in the best location and it was perfect for three people. We used the parilla upstairs one night and it was awesome. We would totally return to this apartment again. The management company was totally outstanding too!

PhiladelphiaCool place to stay
Left on 10/21/2009 for a stay in October 2009
This is a beautiful apartment with an excellent location in Palermo. Despite its location amidst many restaurants and shops it is very quiet as it is set back a bit from the street. It has all the amenities one would want, and the beds are extremely plush and comfortable. It even has a library of guide books to Buenos Aires and Argentina. I would stay here again and would recommend this over a hotel stay. The check in and check out process was very smooth and professionally done, and this alleviated some of the pain of having to pay in cash and leave a security deposit. Our security deposit was returned very promptly.

We rented the apartment for three weeks and used it as a home base to explore Argentina. We loved the location as it was close to many great restaurants and good markets nearby. Even with all of the nightlife activities that surround you, it was always extremely quiet in the apartment for sleeping.
For part of the time someone stayed in the downstairs bedroom. As you go upstairs there is no door to the bedroom up there. The sound from the living area downstairs tends to carry with the hard surface floors and brick walls. So make sure you really like whomever stays with you.
The apartment really had everything you could need to cook in, plus there were plenty of English guidebooks and books on B.A. The sectional sofa was so comfortable and nice to come home to for a siesta or glass of local wine after a long day of walking and sightseeing.
We enjoyed our stay and our trip very much and would recommend this apartment and this area to stay in. -

Denver, COGreat Apartment in a Great Location
Left on 05/07/2009 for a stay in February 2009
My friend and I stayed in this apartment for 3 nights in February. The location was really great, right in the heart of Palermo. It's only a few mintues walk to tons of bars and restaurants. People are out walking and enjoying the cafes until the wee hours of the morning. You really get to feel what it's like be a porteno. The apartment is just as nice as the pictures portray. The amenities are modern and the beds are comfortable. We stayed for first part of our trip in the Puerto Madero area, and wished we'd spent the whole trip at his apartment instead. It's a little bit of a haul to get to the more "touristy" sites, but not really that bad. We were there more for the experience of BA and the culture than site seeing anyway. If you really want to enjoy the atmosphere and cafe culture of BA, this is the area to stay.

We certainly enjoyed the outside area for breakfast before the heat rose. The airconditioners up stairs were somewhat under powered but the main ones downstairs were super. I do have to caution about the slick stairs with no railings. I still have a brused rear and a pulled ligament in my hand. The area is perfect with so many fine and inexpensive restaurants around especially Don Juan. We almost had a meal ticket there. We look forward to returning next year this time to a penthouse for the view.
