Description from the owner

We take pride in having created a living space that is both comfortable and pleasant, yet at the same time is surrounded by the beauty and the serenity of nature. The Barn, formally an artist's studio overlooking a flower garden, now accommodates 6 people and is just 300 feet from the Provincetown Harbor Beach.

It is a private house located in Provincetown’s East End, just a ten minute walk from the center of town, McMillan Pier, where the ferry arrives daily from Boston.

The unit is equipped with two bedrooms each with a queen size bed, one sleep sofa with a pull out trundle bed, one full bathroom with a tub shower, a fu...Read more

      Great place to stay

Left on 07/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We stayed here for a week in July. We had never been to Provincetown before and had a great time exploring the area. We were about a 3 minute walk to the beach which worked out great because we could go home for lunch or to use the bathroom if needed. The beach was private so there was plenty of room to spread out and relax. There are alot of other beaches within about 10 minutes. We chose to go explore some of the national seashore beaches like Race Point and Herring Cove which are beautiful but the water was slightly colder since they are on the ocean side. We enjoyed being able to walk down town (about a 15-20 minute walk). It was perfect. We had 6 people with our group and there was plenty of room for everyone. The 2 bedrooms were a good size and the family room/kitchen area was huge and there is a big deck as well. The owner (Jonathan) lives nearby so he is always there for questions which came in handy since we were new to Provincetown. He was very helpful.

      Great Value, Well-Situated

Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We really enjoyed our stay and would consider this house again. It was clean, comfortable, open and spacious. It is a very good value given its position overlooking a beautiful garden, proximity to the beach (truly a very short walk through the garden and across the street) and its location close to town yet in the quieter east end.
Everything was in good working order, including the indispensable washer and dryer and the gas grill, and the a/C units in the 2 bedrooms, which not only cooled the rooms but masked noise that results from an open floor plan. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils.
Landlords were unobtrusive, but very responsive and accommodating of our requests.

Beautiful house on the East End!

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012

This home was perfect for our entire family to stay -- including my partner, who is in a wheelchair. (Mr. Sinaiko even built us a special ramp to the front door, to enable us to easily take the wheelchair in and out!) the beautiful location, overlooking a public garden, gave plenty of space to relax and enjoy the town.

      Charming seaside getaway!

Left on 01/17/2012 for a stay in November 2011

My wife and I stayed here over thanksgiving weekend with another couple, their 8 month old baby, and our two chihuahuas. We had never been to Provincetown before and found this place to be close enough to hustle and bustle, but far enough from the crowds for quiet relaxation. The beach access is across the street, but a nice walk through the owners beautiful community garden. If you like playing board games by a warm fire this is the place for you.

Second time here, will come back

Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in August 2010

We stayed here with friends two years ago and had such a wonderful time we came back in 2011.

The house is great, high ceilings, bright, well equipped, very clean, comfortable queen beds.

We thought having only 1 bath might be a problem, but we never had an issue with 4 of us. It was fine on both stays.

The owners are available but never intrusive.

If you had a good arm, you could practically hit the bayside beach with a stone. We loved being able to go from the beach to the house without much thought. It is a dog friendly beach as well. It took about 15 mintues to walk to downtown either along the beach at low tide or along Commercial Street.

Other bonuses: Big Weber BBQ, laundry, quiet location, big deck.

      We're definitely coming back!

      Wonderful

Left on 08/30/2010 for a stay in August 2010

This is our second year renting this house, and we doubled our stay this year to two weeks from one. The location can't be beat: close enough to the bustle of Commerce Street so that you can walk there in minutes, yet far enough away so that it's peaceful and quiet. The private beach is just through the garden from the house, and the property is clean and well-maintained, and is dog-friendly to boot! The towels and linens are spotless, as is the entire beautiful open-plan living space. I'd recommend this house to anyone, anytime.

      Wonderful Peaceful Vacation Spot

Left on 08/24/2010 for a stay in August 2010

The Barn is a wonderful space for a summer vacation. Spacious and comfortable, it was perfect for our two week stay in Provincetown. A very short walk to the harbor beach and in the quiet East End, it provides proximity to all the fun of Commercial Street without the non-stop noise. It also comes with laundry facilities, also a nice touch when everyone returns sandy and wet from the beach.

Swam in on a lovely beach in the warm bay water

Left on 08/20/2010 for a stay in July 2010

The house, converted barn, was close to the water, but far enough back there was some privacy. The porch was great to sit on with both shade and sun. It was also great for my dog, because the porch had sliders to keep him on the porch, where he dozed in the sun, or lay in the shade. The beach had a sandy bottem and the water was warm enough to stay in for 30 minutes or more. It was also close to the house, so I could swim more than once a day. Perfect for me. Friends and family enjoyed it as well.
