154913Trpoical Paradise on a cliff!

My husband and I visited Viewpoint for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The 300 degree view from the condo was breathtaking and we often saw whales and dolphins swimming by while we were on our terrace or by the pool. It was amazing!
The pool overlooks the ocean and has many loungers available. Our unit was beautiful and came fully equipped with everything we needed. We also took advantage of the grocery service provided which was very convenient and allowed us to relax and enjoy our honeymoon - everything we requested to have was there when we arrived!. We loved having our morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the ocean and pool. The beautiful landscaping amongs the 40-foot rock peninsula was a warm welcome each day.
We rented a car and found it very easy to get around to the nearby beaches and restaurants. If you don't rent a car there are plenty of taxis in Puerto angel and the staff are more than happy to call a taxi for you whenever you need. It is also very easy to get around by foot. The nearest beach is called Playa Panteon, and is only a 5 minute walk from the condo. It's a great beach for swimming and snorkeling and also has great restaurants and tours available. We rented a boat and went whale watching and snorkeling - it was amazing!
Viewpoint is convenient to local restaurants and shops where you can pick up fresh produce and fresh seafood to prepare in your kitchen or shared BBQ area by the pool. It is also a short drive or taxi ride to the many other beaches with amazing restaurants with food varying from authentic Mexico to international cuisine. We had an amazing time going to different beaches everyday and exploring this wonderful and authentic part of Mexico. We always felt safe at any time of the day. Having a candle lit dinner on the beach every night wastruly unforgettable!
We had a wonderful time at Viewpoint and will be back! -

Wilkie, Saskatchewan, CanadaOne of the best vacation spots we have ever stayed at.

We stayed for one week with our 17 year old son and really enjoyed the accommodations, the view from our condo, the pool and the variety of beaches that we had to choose from. The restuarants were unbeleivable (5 star in some cases) and very reasonably priced. There was lots for us as a family to do in Puerto angel and area, we were never bored. The condo itself was equipped with everything we could possibly need and was very comfortable. I would most definitely recommend this vacation/location spot for other families and couples. We can't wait to go back!

Puerto angel is a charming, welcoming village and the Viewpoint Condos are a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. We stayed for a week late in January and had an amazing trip!
Viewpoint is up a hill about a 5 minute walk from the main part of town. It’s gated with 24 hour security. The dwellings surrounding it are residents of Puerto angel; no resorts or hotels - which we loved. Every room has a fantastic view. We stayed in a unit further back from the point and the view from our room was gorgeous. The unit had all the amenities we needed and it was very comfortable. We found the air conditioners up to the task of cooling off our room for evenings. We didn’t spend much time in the unit in the day so when we got back to the room for night we would turn on our a/C and it would cool down the place within about 20 mins.
The pool area at the condo was quiet and somewhat secluded. There is a nice little BBQ area poolside which was perfect for cooking the occasional supper or lunch. Almost every day, cruising by off the front of the point, we saw whales or dolphins. We met some of the full time residents of the condo. Full time as in they spend most of their winters there as they were all Canadian. They were all very friendly and shared advice and tips on where to shop for food, places to go and the best places to eat in the area.
Puerto angel and the surrounding area is very different from the resort type of vacationing we have experienced. It felt as though we were more immersed in the culture. There are several beaches close by; our favorites were San augustanillo and Playa Panteon. We also visited Zippolite which was definitely worth the experience. To say the vibe at Zippolite was laid back is a massive understatement!
We booked a snorkel tour at the tour operator on Playa Panteon and it was one of the highlights of our trip. There were four of us plus the driver in the boat and it cost around 1000 pesos total. The boat stopped at three secluded beaches east of Puerto angel and on the way the driver was on the scout for sea life. We saw 2 stingrays, a huge turtle, whales and dolphins. At one of the beaches is a cliff you can dive off. It was about 15 feet high and was a total rush to climb up and then jump!
We went back to the same tour operator to book a boat ride out to Bahia de la Luna for supper one night. Supper was delicious; highly recommended. You have to call ahead though so they know to make enough. Typically they only make enough supper for the guests staying at their cabanas. And the boat ride was great as on the out there we were surrounded by dolphins who were jumping and playing right beside our boat! And on the way back it was dark out but the moon was bright and full and our driver really knew what he was doing.
We loved our trip and for anyone looking to experience some genuine culture in a relaxing and safe environment, you should give this place a try. -

VancouverThe most amazing view imaginable!

It was my first time ever in Mexico when I stayed at Viewpoint and what a treat. The condo I was staying at with my boyfriend was beautiful, fully equipped with even the little things to make sure that we could enjoy our vacation. I loved the yummy Mexican food at the local restaurants but I very much enjoyed the big kitchen with all I needed to cook every day as well. My favorite part was hanging out by the pool and watching sunrise in the morning. I travel a lot and have seen many beautiful sunsets, but the at the view at the Viewpoint is in a class of it's own. Hard to describe in words really. The location is so private and serene, yet so close the authentic Mexican life in the village near by. It's exciting to go grocery shopping in the little markets (and there were plenty) with all the fresh veggies and fruit. It was always an adventure.
What an experience! Fun and relaxing and it felt so luxurious. I hope to be back soon! -

Review: If you are looking for a remote slice of paradise, this is where you want to stay! The condo is located on a rock peninsula that provides for the most amazing oceanviews. Our suite was clean and beautiful with granite countertops, marble floors and two patios where we could sit and watch the waves. We even saw whales almost everyday, which provided for great entertainment! The friendly staff provides a grocery service where they will stock your fridge for you, which helped us out for our first night and morning. Venturing into Puerto angel was a quick 5 minute walk where you will find many shops, restaurants, and a great beach for snorkeling. You can also take a taxi into town or to check out other nearby beaches. Everything is so close and convenient. We had such a relaxing stay at Viewpoint and will definitely be back!
