We visited this condo with my parents (in their 70's) and my two boys (2 & 3 years) and we all loved it. The rooms were huge, the bathrooms were fantastic, and the kitchen was great. The location was also fantastic. The ocean right out front was rocky, but there was beautiful sand 2 minutes up the beach. The pool was great for cooling off, and we used the jacuzzi on the patio as a private wading pool in the shade for the boys...couldn't have asked for more! The town offered a nice selection of restaurants, a great tour operator and excellent dive shop. Service at the condo was fantastic...both the owner and manager took care of all our needs/concerns, making for an all around amazing holiday.

This condo was perfect for our needs. The layout was exactly what we needed for two families. The larger family used the two bedroms / 2 bathrooms on one side and our family used the the other bedroom/bath. Water pressure was great and the dishwasher wash a big plus!The ability to slide open all of the oceanside doors was an amazing feeling, especially in the morning with the sun shining in. When we were in the kitchen we never felt like we were working, only a few more steps away from the beach. The pool and showers were great, as was the distance of Villas del Mar2 from the omni and fresh market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Now that we have been on the ground floor, we can't go back. Thanks to andrew from Sol Maya for the grocery service and attentiveness!

We stayed in this condo for the second year in a row and cannot express how happy we are with it. The condo itself has terrific amenities. Fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, hot tub on patio. The unit is well taken care of and very clean.
The location is perfect. Pool, beach and town all within arms reach!
Andrew at Sol Maya Rentals is awesome. He was always available and ready to offer suggestions (things to do/ restaurants etc.), along with ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the week.

The service was excellent. The property manager was very helpful, answered all our question and dealt with any problems immediately. Absolutely no complaints on that front. The house was great, really comfortable and everything worked well. The location is fantastic - a truly beautiful spot. Suggestions would definitely include that a bbq is a must as is a kettle. Also the shower door in one of the bathrooms didn't fit so well and leaked water over the floor. However, only real complaint re condo, was that some of the retired american neighbours were a little overbearing and 'Condo Police'-like. Some of them made us feel rather uncomfortable for a couple of days, which dampened the spirit. That said, we really did have a fantastic stay. The children adored the enormous pool and the beach and the hot tub is a brilliant addition, as it kept them happy for hours when they had finished swimming. They also loved the large garden for playing when not in the pool. We will definitely return one day and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends if the neighbour issue could be sorted.

We appreciate the candid review. Your comment regarding the retired neighbors sparked a serious concern that was recently addressed at the HOA meeting, 1/16/2012. All openers have agreed to log any complaints about guests or even other owners through the HOA administrator. That said, there will be no more direct interaction with owners and guests should a problem arise.
We look forward to seeing you again for your Argentinian summer vacation!

We stayed late November to early December. Unit 108 was nicely laid out and well furnished. Maid service was good when we wanted it. Easy walk into Puerto for meals etc...
Fabulous lower level condo with great patio overlooking ocean and close to pool.
Only complaint was the pool freezing. Wouldnt bother young kids but it would be an issue for seniors etc...

We were a large group with 8 adults and 8 children. We rented Villa Oceana and also Villa Ixchel (101 and 108) and could not have been more pleased with our week stay in Puerto aventuras. Oceana is a stunning condo unit with amazing ocean views and perfect access to the beach and oceanfront. We loved the gorgeous location, awesome weather and proximity to the marina with all the great restaraunts and shops. Andrew with Sol Maya vacation rentals is the best we have worked with! We vacationed in Playa for the past few years and decided to change things up. We found andrew and Villas del Mar II and he was excellent at answering all of our many questions and checked in on us many times during our stay to make sure all was well. We truly can't thank him enough for helping us book the best vacation we've all had so far.
Definitely take advantage of the grocery shopping andrew offers- was so nice to arrive and have a stocked fridge with cold cerveza's waiting! We rented a golf cart which was great to see everything Puerto had to offer and the kids loved it. Bamboo was our favorite morning stop- employees were awesome and the homemade banana bread they baked for us fresh was delicious.
Overall, we had a terrific time in Puerto and would recommend Villas Del Mar II for sure. Andrew is excellent and we would definitely return. Thanks andrew!Response from Sol Maya vacation Rentals - 04/24/2011

We truely loved Villa Oceana! The rooms were spacious, sunny and very up-to-date with all modern amenities.
The grounds were wonderful! Even with the beach just feet away, we spent most of our time on the patio and the lawn area lounging under the palm trees and palapas. It was great being within steps of the condo unit and the water at the same time. The beach was quiet and without the vendors or timeshare promoters that you get at some resorts in the area.
Andrew, the property manager was very accomadating. We had lost our original reservation at near-by condo and had to find a new condo in under 2 weeks. After we contacted andrew, he worked directly with the other property manager to transfer payment. We ended up being very pleased that the other condo fell though and we got to spend our vacation in Villa Oceana.
If you are looking for a quiet and restful vacation at a beautiful beach front location you can't do better than Villa Oceana. We can't wait to return.Response from Sol Maya vacation Rentals - 12/07/2010

We had the most fabulous vacation in Puerto aventura largely because of where we stayed. The condo Villa Oceana is everything a vacationing family could ask for, and more. The location is superb, few steps to the pristine pool and the inviting, clean and soft white sand beach, as well as one of the nicest snorkeling spot around. The condo itself is well maintained and managed, immaculately cleaned and well-stocked with drinking water and toiletry as well as linen. They even had a nice fruit basket for us upon arrival. The manager was extremely friendly and hospitable and offered a wealth of information about the surrounding area. Our family have traveled extensively all around the world and this trip to Puerto aventura is by far one of the best and most relaxing and enjoyable experience for all of the members of our family. We can't wait for our next trip there.

All we could do when we entered this condo was giggle, we could not believe this was going to be our home while on vacation. It was even better than pictured, we now could hear the waves of the ocean! The condo was wonderful inside and out, sparkling clean, well equipped. Could not have been in a better location to both pool and beach!
What was wonderful was having Andrew the property manager available to us before our trip and during to answer questions and give us great suggestions on places to go and eat. I left something behind and was able to contact Andrew after and have it looked after. The personal care we recieved was exceptional and make all the difference when booking trips.
The great location to the town was also a bonus, we enjoyed our walks down the beach 5 minutes and through the Omni hotel to the town. Every evening this is also how we came home and felt very safe and that we were living in Paradise. We really enjoyed the town, great places to eat and enjoy entertainment in the evenings. Also this is a great area for getting to other places in the Mayan, Playa, Tulum and the other beaches in the area.
You could not be disappointed with this condo and the area, it is the cream of the crop.I would highly recommend Sol Maya Vacation Rentals to book accomadation, we were very well looked after before, during, and after our trip.Response from Sol Maya vacation Rentals - 12/10/2009

The service is excellent. Never wanted for anything they are always ready to make you comfortable. Even the neighbors cared about our having a great time!
The Home was clean and cared for. The location is a great waterfront property with all the amenities and the security makes you feel very safe as well. Go out to eat or stay in, either way you will have a great time. Only minutes from stores to shop, parks to enjoy and the Talum ruins a must see! Off shore fishing was great with the local guys but the catching was slow. Our fault however it was off season when we visited. The best was just watching the water roll in and the colors only the Caribbean can provide. A great time indeed.
