Edmonds, WaPerfect Place for a Relaxing Vacation
Left on 05/11/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We loved staying at Tamarika! This condo has everything you need from fully equipped kitchen to beach towels and chairs.
I enjoyed sitting on back deck in the morning and watching the kids going off to school, and adults going on their way. Then sitting on the front deck in the evening watching the boats return.
I loved the small community atmosphere and would recommend shopping at the farmers market on Wed or Sat, great fresh vegetables, fruits and spices. We ate at several restaurants and cannot say anything bad about one of them. The beach at the Omni Hotel was really nice, it was a good place to practice snorkeling and we even saw a sea turtle.
If your looking for a fun day snorkeling and sailing check out Captain Quickies. They took us snorkeling in three different areas, out to a great local bbq then sailing back to Puerto aventuras.
Playa Del Carmen is a short distance away and the place to go for the tourist experience. It was nice to return to the quiet and relaxing condo, then have a swim in the pool and an ice cold cerveca on the deck.
We will definitely go back next spring!

Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Our one week vacation in Mexico was wonderful and Hacienda Tamarika played a big role in it. I did read the reviews about the condo
before our trip so I pretty much knew what to expect - still, I was surprised to see how big and spacious it was. My 10 year old daughter was most excited about the pool, and being able to keep an eye on her from the balcony was a huge advantage for me: parent who doesn't want to spend hours at the pool.
There are several good restaurants, wonderful beaches within walking distance so the fact that we didn't have a car for the first half of our stay was not a problem at all.
The condo is fully equipped - I can not think of anything that we missed. The beds are super comfortable!
I had to call Deb once when the drinking water run out - it was replaced within an hour after I talked to her.
I am back to Seattle now and the thought of going back to Puerto aventuras makes the daily rain less hard to live with.

Swartz Creek, MichiganExceeded expectations!
Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in February 2013
My family and I stayed in the condo for a week and it had anything you might need to make your stay a good one. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pans, towels, coffee maker, coffee grinder, ice cream maker, microwave oven and basic pantry items like salt, pepper, nonstick cooking spray, sandwich bags etc. The washer and dryer were such a bonus to dry the beach towels (also in supply at the condo) and to do any necessary washing while there. There is a beautiful view of the pool and harbor from the balcony off the living room and a beautiful view of the sea from the bedrooms (both with balconies as well) on the other side. There is a 3 ringed notebook that lists all the amenities and things to do in the area and another binder with information on how to use the appliances. We chose this place because of its proximity to my sister and brother-in-law who own a condo at La Costa just 2 doors down and it was absolutely perfect!!! The only 2 drawbacks were the 3 flights of spiral stairs and the swinging doors between the kitchen and pantry, but that wasn't enough to take a star away in our opinion. My 10 year old daughter loved the condo and the pool! She got to have her own bedroom and bathroom as the 2 bedrooms each have their own bathroom and there is an additional 3rd bathroom in the main hallway for visitors to use. It is a short walk from the condo to the commercial part of the town where there are plenty of restaurants, shops and the dolphin discovery experience. My daughter and nephew swam with the dolphins 2 years ago and loved it! We highly recommend this place and plan to return in the future!

KirklandComfortable, safe, relaxing Hacienda Tamarika
Left on 02/28/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Hacienda Tamarika exceeded all of our expectations! It's a beautiful, clean condo, with 3 decks, one on the west side, two on the east side. We always had our breakfast out on the sunny east side in the morning.
The kitchen has everything you'd ever need--and more--to make your meals. We didn't lack for anything in the kitchen.
Mattresses in Mexico are notoriously hard and uncomfortable compared to what we're used to in the States, but the mattress here was very comfortable. We slept soundly and woke up to the sound of the birds and ocean, feeling rested.
There were many other amenities in the condo that we didn't use: Television, iPod stereos, a CD and DVD collection, books, even a quality espresso machine and ice cream machine. The fridge was brand new, quiet, efficient and kept our food colder than others I've had elsewhere in Mexico.
The location, Puerto aventuras, offers many activities like golf, dolphin swims, diving, boat trips, shops and restaurants within walking distance. We always felt safe, never saw any indication of shenanigans going on around us.
Because it is on the third floor, I don't think it's a good place for anyone with a disability, or who has trouble climbing stairs. With en suite bathrooms in both bedrooms, plus a half bath in the hallway, it'd be a great place for a family or two couples to share.
All in all, a really wonderful stay at a really wonderful place. -

This was my second stay at Hacienda Tamarika. It is very nice unit for me to come back after a long day and lounge around as well as enjoy the early morning with breakfast on the balcony. It is a very convenient location and the unit is well cared for and practical. I have no worries or concerns with the accommodations when staying here, which is not always the case in this area.

Left on 12/28/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We rented this condo during our last (cave-diving) holiday. It's a great place to stay: the condo is spacious end extremely well equipment within the beautiful and safe village of Puerto aventuras.
With three terrasses, breakfast en dinner outside was a joy and the sliding doors also ment we didn't need to use the airconditioning.
We will definately come back next year! -

Woodinville, WABreeze, views, and internet -- what else could you want?
Left on 11/21/2012 for a stay in November 2012
This was our first stay in Tamarika #7. I had actually wanted to buy a condo in this building several years ago, because its orientation is perfect for the breeze to blow through it. So nice not to have to use the aC! Everything in this condo works -- hot water, internet, vonage, and laundry -- which is not always the case in MX rentals. It's right around the corner from perhaps the best food value in Puerto aventuras, and an easy walk to other options. Booking and checking in went without a hitch, and overall, I don't see us ever choosing to stay anywhere else on our biannual trips.

The condo is bright and cheery, well stocked with linens and towels. It is modern and up to date. It is immaculate. It is air conditioned if you want it to be. Good furniture and appliances. The WiFi works very well. Comfortable beds. Good showers. Three balcony's to sip your morning coffee or tea. We loved it. The spiral staircase could be a bit daunting for older eyes.

Will go back again. It took a few days days but figured out the thing to do and beach to go too.Condo was beautiful and comfortable. Only disappointing thing was the dogs. It seemed like there was one barking dog all day and in to the night. It did not do it every day but it was a little bothersome.

Left on 05/01/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This was the first time my family and I rented a condo rather than staying at a resort, and we absolutely loved it! This unit was within walking distance from everything, shops, restaurants, small food marts, the dolphins, although we did rent a golf cart from Cafe Cafe for fun, which was about $40 for 24 hours. Although you have to climb some stairs to get to the unit, the view is more than worth it. Debbie also has everything you need for your vacation in the unit, including beach towels, games and all the comforts of home. It was just perfect for our little family of three. The area was so quiet at times we didn't realize anyone else was around. I really miss looking out of the bedroom slider, waking up to the sun rise and sleeping with the slider open with the breeze coming in. The pool was better than it looks it the pictures too, so refreshing and relaxing. The only issue my 10 year old daughter had was that there was no resort kids club, but she still had a fabulous time with us and would also love to return. We will definitely be back to Puerto aventuras and hope to rent this unit again.

My family and I went for our first trip to the Mayan Coast. The condo was perfect, with a beautiful view, clean and well set up. The staff was very friendly, and the room service at the half way point in our stay was unexpected but great. I especially liked the way the sleeping area was distant from the kitchen and living room so those that stayed up late were not disturbing those who were sleeping. The restaurants around the condo were wonderful and the staff were all very friendly. We did a fishing trip with a company out of pa and had a great time. The location of pa along the coast provided a perfect jumping off point to visit all of the treasures the coast has to offer.

Spokane, Washington USAVacation Experience or a lifetime
Left on 02/20/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My vacation was an adventure-filled experience with trips to the Mayan ruins to various beaches and small shops in the area. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.
The accommodations were delightful and the surrounding area with its shops and dining area were all visitors could ask for; with dolphins playing across the way to entertain us while we ate.
I did appreciate the security at the entrance to the area and felt safe at all times.
I especially enjoyed the view from my condo. One could not ask for more. From the bedroom was a view of the Caribbean and from the living room, a view of the marina.
Although the condo is located on the third landing, the stairs are manageable. I often times have difficulty with stairs, but I managed these to my satisfaction; I just had to take my time.
The condo was spacious and nicely furnished with all the accommodations from home-ie: television, washer and dryer, iron, coffee maker, toaster, etc.
The weekly maid service was very much appreciated.
The various places we visited were easily traveled to as the roads were very well maintained.
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Condo Hacienda Tamarika and would definitely return again. -

Just returned from a great vacation at this wonderful rental in pa Mexico. We have stayed at alot of rental units and this by far was one of our top places. Debbie is very easy to work with and has her place stocked with just about anything you would need (chairs, cooler, backpacks, grill, hairdryers, etc.)The place has 4 different decks to sit or stand on and enjoy the views. Watching the yachts come and go each day while reading a good book was truly relaxing. There is also a local Debbie that manages the place to help if any problems may occur. I must also mention that her place is quite reasonably priced compared to many other units in the pa area. Thanks again, Debbie, for sharing you place with us.

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about how much I was going to enjoy myself when I landed in Cancun and the subsequent drive to Puerto aventuras; but that was all put to rest when I arrived on the grounds. Tamarika is within walking distance from all the ammenities that Puerto aventuras has to offer (eateries, souvenier shops, the dolphin exhibition, and most notable Dive aventuras). I was able to complete my dive certification during the day and relax with a nightcap in the evening by the marina. Tamarika is in prestine condition, the beautiful marble floors immedietly catch your eye upon entering. I was surprised how spacious the condo was with its two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. The pool in the back of the condo facing the marina proved to be the perfect place for a mid day siesta. The neighbors and everybody else in the surrounding area was kind and helpful. Be advised that there is a maid who comes in periodically (Not that anything went missing) to clean, it suprised me when I walked in and there was someone else in the condo. I was told about the maid before I arrived I was just unsure when she came. Other things to note, I went in the off season so some of the establishments were closed; and it also meant that because there were less tourists there prices seemed to be more reasonable than in Playa Del Carmen. I loved, loved, loved my vacation in Mexico particurlarly in the Puerto aventuras area and am very much looking forward to going back sooner than later.

The entire stay was more then we expected. Puerto aventuras is a very nice community and a beautiful setting.
Same goes for the condo we stayed in. Hacienda Tamarika was a very clean and nicely decorated condo. Everything you needed for your stay was there. We loved the feel and the charm of the entire complex. Including the beautiful grounds. Everyone was easy to work with. And the owner was always accessible by email if you had any questions.
We really enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back. -

Seattle, WAFun in the Sun!
Left on 04/22/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We spent a week with another couple at this incredibly comfortable and spacious apartment. The beds were comfortable and it was great to have bathrooms attached to each bedroom. Each bedroom had a deck as well as two off the dining/living room overlooking the marina. Debbie and Dan had the apartment stocked with games (which were fun to play in the evening) and the pool essentially was ours for the week.
The town has lots of options for food and you can walk everywhere you need to. Pick up groceries in Playa at the Walmart - fresh tortillas!! Gringo Dave's was a hoot - you had to see "War Pigs" done by Mike and Jen on Karaoke night. Cafe Ole has incredible pie.
Trips: Tulum is worth the cab ride - amazing to see. Also go to Hidden Worlds where you can ride the "Sky Bike" and snorkel in Cenotes.
We'll go back for sure! -

The condo is extremely clean, organized, and well kept. The furnishings are comfortable and updated. The internet, cable, and international phone services were great. The property management service was personable and very responsive. The condo is basically key turn adventure base camp. Just unpack your bags, kick back and relax, or walk into the main part of town, which is about a 5-10 minute walk. The diving was great and Tulum and some of the other ruins are about half hour or so away.
There are about a dozen or so restaurants within walking distance if you dont feel like using the kitchen.
The surrounding property is nicely landscaped with a great pool in the backyard. The view of the marina from the porches is great. Plenty of room on the main porch to have a meal outside. Every couple of days the maids came in to clean the condo.
Overall, I was very impressed with the amenities and services. Very pleasurable and relaxing. Highly recommend this place.
