When we first arrived and walked in the back door, we were amazed by the beautiful view of the beach and ocean from our condo. The condo was very spacious, clean and modern. It is just a short walk from the commercial area, and a five minute taxi ride to the grocery story. Andrew, our property manager, was very accomodating, and responded very quickly if we required anything! The maid service and the grounds keepers, do a great job! it was so nice to be able to wake up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and relax on the terrace without a large number of people passing by!! The pool is perfect for a leisurely afternoon dip. The beach itself is beautiful, white sand, but unfortunately, there are a lot of rocks from the water edge in. We were informed that the property owners are looking at having an artificial reef built which would help in holding the sand, covering the rocks. This will greatly improve the ocean experience in this area.

I spent 9 nights in your lovely condo with my girlfriends. We have been going on an annual gal pal trip for 11 years. Each year we pick a different location. I was so pleased with your condo and the community that I would not hesitate to go right back here next year. The condo was beautiful and perfectly set up for a group or family vacationing together. We were impressed with how well appointed the kitchen was. Everything we needed for cooking was readily available and of great quality. We loved the ground floor location as it made it so easy to go in and out to the pool and beach. The location was perfect. It was a quick walk down the beach to the dive shop ( or jacuzzi bar) at the Omni hotel. It was a pleasant and easy stroll into the marina area to restaurants and shops. This location is perfectly suited for a vacation of total relaxation or one filled with fun activities. I hope to go back soon.

Renting this condo was so easy. The property management company was very good to respond to my emails and andrew was there when we arrived and was very helpful with our questions. This condo was beautiful and the view of the ocean is terrific. It is a short walk on the beach to the main part of town. We rented a golf cart to make short trips to the convenience store in town and drive around sight seeing. The guys enjoyed the kayaks. We will definitely want to stay there again.

We spent 7 nights at the property; my wife and I, and 3 of our sons, ages 15, 17, and 20. We had a fabulous time. everything met or exceeded our expectations. Great unit, right on the beach! grill, outdoor dining, kayaks, lovely town within easy walking distance. And all in a very safe, gated community. Andrew, the property manager could not have been more helpful.

Our vacation began the day we decided to email andrew of Sol Maya Rentals. Andrew was always quick to respond with emails,suggestions/advice throughout our planning process!
We arrived to Unit 108 in the evening around 6:30pm, we were unsure where to go initially(cab driver was unclear and we may have had a few too many margarita's prior to arrival...ha!) Andrew had no problem in us arriving outside his home and giving our cab driver directions! We arrived after quite a long travel day and was dark when we arrived. Andrew had gone to the grocery store and picked up a few items we had requested prior to our arrival and of course had our beer/wine nicely chilling on arrival, which was a great service to add after a long travel day! When we woke in the morning it was kinda like christmas morning, all our hard work of planning for months had come down to this very moment before us was beautiful sunny blue skies the turquise ocean wrapped nicely with a blanket of soft white sand right out side our window and the pool just steps from our patio! We were in heaven and so were our children aged 7&9, as soon as they saw the pool they were in and hooked for our entire stay!
The condo was bright, breezy, clean and larger than we had suspected each beroom had its own washroom/shower or bath tub! Our family of 8 had no problem of space and no one was on each others toes. Our family loved the huge sliding glass doors that lead you to your outdoor living room/dining room it was nice and shady if you wanted to escape the sun or just sit around for hours and chat!Right off your patio is a great grassy area (kids loved having more space to use but still within eye shot). At the time we visited there were more than enough loungers to use. Andrew was available even after we arrived for questions. Cabs are easy to catch to go to other locations for tours or beaches. There is even a great kite surfing beach 10 mins from the condo as well.

My wife, three children and I spent ten days in this condo in July. The property came highly recommended by a close friend who has very high standards. Even so, I was impressed with the quality and service. It was an idyllic location, wonderful condominium and we couldn't have asked for better assistance from andrew and his colleagues.
The photos of this condo give the impression that it is spacious, well maintained and near both the pool and the ocean. The reality is that it is absolutely enormous, terrifically clean, literally beside the pool (which we rarely had to share) and within a stones toss of the water's edge. With three young kids, traveling can involve lots of luggage. We were able to significantly reduce our requirements because the condo is well equipped and has a washer/dryer for guest use.
The location of this property in the community of Puerto aventuras made it possible to walk everywhere we wanted to go (even with the little ones) while having a little privacy from the larger establishments. We enjoyed the grocery service for our breakfast and lunch needs and looked forward to the walk down the beach for dinner at a new restaurant each evening.
Andrew spent a great deal of time and trouble customizing outings for us to suit the interests and abilities of our family. His recommendations were spot-on and were experiences that we will always remember. My family & I went to Sol May with a couple of friends in July & it was Great. The condo was perfect & we were on the ground floor, all we had to do is walk outside to be on the beach. Our kids had a Great time & it was very save & made us feel good knowing it was a gated community and the could go off on their own. We most definetly would recommend it.

My family and I recently stayed at Villa Del Mar, and it was one of the best vacations we've ever had. The condo is well kept, furnished beautifully, and the layout was perfect for my wife and 3 kids. While the interior is first rate, the ground floor location was an even bigger plus with the pool and the beach just a few steps away.
We practically had the entire place to ourselves during our stay, so the privacy was another nice surprise. No fighting for space by the pool or the beach, and just soaking in the sounds of the ocean waves. If we wanted some more action, then we just took a short walk along the beach into town where you can enjoy great food and cocktails while watching the dolphins swim in the marina.
A great place in a beautiful atmosphere, and andrew was an amazing help with arranging food/liquor delivery and recommending different activities and local sites. We look forward to a future visit and another amazing experience!Response from Sol Maya vacation Rentals - 07/16/2012

Andrew and his Staff, are awesome, they make everything so you can have a wonderful vacation. The property is just steps from the beach, and the pool. It has a grill outside so making a barbeque just in front of the sea is wonderful. I highly recommend it for families with young children. They even help us with a crib for the baby. The outside Jacuzzi is a must.

This spacious 3 bedrooms, 3 and a half bathrooms groundfloor unit with perfect southeast open view, large terrace with BarBQ and jacuzzi, a few steps from the beach was the perfect setup for my last vacation. I have nothing to say wrong about this place. We all slept perfectly and we appreciated the little extras that were provided( bottled water, snacks, soaps, washing detergent, basket of fruits and so on). Thank you and see you soon.

We stayed for three weeks in November. The weather was beautiful and the water was a perfect warmth. The condo was more spacious and luxurious than we had expected. The complex was on the quiet side especially in the evenings but that made it great for falling asleep listening to the waves. We got up early in the mornings and went to all the nearby attractions it was very convenient and the locals were very friendly and helpful. We had an american turkey dinner with many others at the local cafe and felt right at home.
