THE PERFECT FAMILY / GROUP RETREAT
A private, secure and convenient location, just 15 minutes from Puerto Ayora town and just 30 minutes from Itabaca Canal, serving Baltra airport, and from where most naturalist day tours leave.
The Semilla Verde Lodge is 300m/1000ft above sea level in the cooler agricultural zone and 200m/600ft off the main road via a gravel road. It is well known by taxi drivers and tour operators alike and so taxi services and tour pick-ups are no problem.
The property itself is nestled in it's own private forest, spanning three levels offering fantastic views over surrounding farmland, national park and marine reserve. Greenery, wildlife and privacy abound; taxi services and modern communications keep you connected and mobile.
Additional facilities include a fully equiped yoga studio, excercise room and childrens swimming pool (in season).
Owner and family live on the property and are available 24/7 for help and advice.

Prices are inclusive of all taxes. 30% deposit required at the time of booking. Balance of accommodation and tours required 60 days prior to your arrival. We will gladly organize a complete and custom day tour itinerary for your visit, including airport transfers, day tours, activities etc.

We stayed at Semilla Verde for 8 nights, with our daughters, during the Easter break.
We loved the Guest House, the owners, the owners' children, and staff.
The food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) was cooked and served with dedication and love.
The rooms are spacious and with beautiful views of the sea and native vegatation.
We loved having the home-grown coffee for breakfast!
Excellent sightseeing advice from Robert, who is an enthusiastic host and tour guide.
We felt like being at home, the guest house having only 5 rooms, and we staying in two of them!
Nice atmosphere when we came across the other guests.
A quaint and relaxing place to stay, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but yet have quick access to it when you feel like seeing more people, shopping or eating out.

Our family of four spent 3 idyllic weeks at the Semilla Verde Lodge in the Galapagos Islands. Proprietors, Robert and Daysi Grimstone, made us feel welcome, and gave us expert advice on what to do while we were there. The beautiful, treetop lodge was comfortable, had all the amenities we needed, and afforded spectacular views of the forest, coastline, and its varied wildlife. Our children so enjoyed exploring the property and encountering giant tortoises!
We returned home with many once-in-a-lifetime memories of our experiences in the Galapagos Islands. Many thanks to Robert and Daysi for providing an ideal setting for our family from which to explore the incredible Galapagos Islands! We would definitely like to return some day!
