We booked Villa Casa Balmagha through Lanzarote Leisure Villas and it was the best thing we had done. The process was so easy and the villa was wonderful. We would recommend it couples or families, it had very thing you needed. The shops were 5 minutes walk and the old harbour with its bars and restaurants were 10 minutes away. Taxis are easy available for as little as 3 euros. The management team in Lanzarote came and introduced themselves to us and gave us contact details if we required anything. We all agreed the holiday was so good we would all go back and stay again. Read more

Excellent communication with Lanzarote Leisure Villas, prior to holiday.A few problems occurred at villa but were dealt with quickly and pleasantly with the Local manager, Erika. On the first day wardrobe and bathroom infested with ants. Erica came next day and put down repellent which kept them at bay for rest of holiday. Lovely pool which we were glad we had paid additional amount to have heated, as when the heater/ pump sprang a leak it had to be switched off until fixed, and we certainly noticed the difference. The tiles surrounding the pool are very dangerously slippery when wet, so much so that we used the two shower mats to step out onto.Pleasant walk downhill into resort, but we weren't aware that it was a very steep climb back up to villa on return journey, luckily taxis only 3 euros.Electricity tripped each time oven and kettle on together so had to be aware of that and switch on quickly because of freezer being off. Despite these few problems,a very enjoyable stay and would certainly use Lanzarote Leisure villas again and would also recommend villa Balmagha (but drawing attention to steep hill) Read more
Thank you for your feedback from your stay in Casa Balmagha. We are sorry that you had a few problems but pleased that they were dealt with quickly.
Our villas have an annual fumigation which should protect them from "little nasties". We will have to bring forward this years to give the villa its usual protection.
You were unlucky that the pool pump sprang a leak but this was promptly fixed. We don't generally electrically heat the pools in the summer as most clients find them warm enough. However this can always be arranged for a small fee. We do warn in the villa that the tiles around the pool can become slippery although we have not had comments from our many regulars in Balmagha that it is a problem here. I will check this myself on our next villa inspection.
If the elecricity keeps tripping we would check first to see if one of the elctrical items is causing this. Sometimes it is as simple as replacing the toaster or kettle. Having said this the elctricity supply in Lanzarote cannot take the same load as it would in the UK.
Casa Balmagha is in the old town which has the harbour at its centre. This does mean that it will be hilly unlike the other end of Puerto del Carmen which is flat. However Balmgha is located in the lower part of this area so the steep hill up to the villas located at the back of Los Mojones does not need to be used. I am concerned that you did not find the route via the Biosfera shopping mall which is less steep. If the legs are getting tired it is worth knowing that a taxi back from the harbour to home will be only be about 3 or 4 euros.
We look forward to welcoming you back in one of our villas.

In my last week before participation at the Iron man Lanzarote I'm looking for a restgiving - private villa not far from the center with as much comfort facility's as possible where I can spend quality time with family and looking forward (and recover after!)the big race. And all this for a good price. Pretty much but this villa is getting a 10/10 for me! Did this in 2012 and 2013. I love this villa - Ironman Lanzarote and Lanzarote! Read more

We stayed at this lovely villa and it was just what the doctor ordered. Lanzarote Villas did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. I only contacted Sue on the day prior to flying to Lanzarote and she arranged for the Villa to be cleaned and ready for us. The Villa is only a short taxi ride from the airport (15 Euro)and we arrived to find a clean a welcoming holiday home. The tea, coffee, sugar, milk and water waiting for us was a lovely touch as was the fully stocked bookshelf, games and Dvds. The local supermarket is only a short walk down the hill (5mins) and even for the unfit such as myself the walk back with shopping was fine. The Villa itself had two great showers, a small bath and two toilets. The beds (double and two singles) were comfortable with crisp clean bedding. The kitchen was fully equipped but I did miss my dishwasher :-( The lounge has a flat screen TV but we did struggle to find stations to watch. However, that is not why you are in such a sunny country and our own Dvds saw us through.Outside the pool was private, warm and clean plus no end of space in the garden to follow the sun throughout the day. All in all we had a great stay and I would highly recommend Lanzarote Villas to anyone wanting a stress free holiday...we will be back.

We love this villa! The setting is quiet, yet is only a 10 minute walk from all the action - at least the old harbour restaurant type action that we enjoy.
The villa is clean and comfortable, and the outside area of pool and patio is ideal. It is secluded, leafy and pleasant, with a large pool.
We always feel very much at home in this villa, and we have never been disappointed in the cleanliness, the attention to detail, and the helpfulness of Elaine, the local manager.
