CalgaryWonderful Condo
Left on 12/11/2012 for a stay in November 2012
The condo is well furnished with everything we needed and is in a perfect location for walking to the beach to snorkel, walking across the street to dive, or walking to the main square and restaurants. The condo complex is the most friendly we have ever stayed at. We have rented many condos over the years but have never experienced such a friendly community as Villas Playasol.
The keypad entry was great! No more trying to keep track of a condo key when you are at the beach or diving!
We dived with Wet Set Diving across the street from the condo. We could see the shop from the balcony and simply walk across when they opened. Wet Set was well organized, with good safety procedures, and knowledgeable dive masters.
Puerto Morelos is a friendly little town to wander around in. We enjoyed the short walk to the main square in the evening to see what was happening and to visit restaurants. We always felt safe walking around the town after dark.
We highly recommend staying here.Response from Debi Yeabsley - 01/20/2013

We enjoyed a sensational 10 days at Casita Caleta. The home itself is well equipped and quite comfortable. Everything worked and worked well. It was very clean. Daily maid service is provided and its always so nice to return to a tidy home. The best part was being able to walk 100 yards or so across a gorgeous white sand beach and then swim another 100 yards and see lots of wonderful fish. We are avid snorkelers and this is, without a doubt, the easiest, best free snorkeling adventure ever. We snorkeled every other day, as much as our energy would allow.
We also enjoyed the cute little town. It is about a three block walk to the central plaza of the town. There are many fun restaurants and a great little grocery store. On weekends, local cooked chicken is available and makes a fine meal coupled with the tortillas from the tortilleria around the corner! Super vacation. I would recommend this condo to anyone. There was nothing I liked least, it was all good.

We really love this condo and puerto morelos. The condo is very comfortable, very clean ( wow these women work very hard and very well) and spacious , When we were 5 it doesn't look crowdy we had all a lot of space.it is a quiet place.Your garden and those big palapas are perfect. We spend the day under it and went swimming at the beach. We also spend time on the beach with the chairs and umbrella. The beach is perfect and quiet even on sunday. What an amazing place. We loved everything about our stay. We were just a short walk to town and one of the most beautiful beaches and best snorkeling I have ever seen are just out the door on the beach. The condo was very comfortable with all the amenities of home even the comfy beds. This will go down as one of the best vacations ever. Thanks Deb and Rick for sharing your beautiful place with us.

Very, very nice accommodations in a real Mexican town, near just about anything you could want- exploring, snorkeling, scuba diving, spelunking, birding, fishing, sailing, ecological parks, amusement parks, shopping, restaurants and beaches and sun. What fun!

Lucasville, Ohio USAGreat Location, Wonderful Vacation
Left on 04/05/2011 for a stay in July 2010
Very comfortable condo; twin beds in one room and a full sized bed in the master bedroom (which even had a swinging hammock for those afternoon naps). A full bath and another half-bath are very convenient. The kitchen is well equipped and the living/dinning room are of a good size.
Now for the best features, location, location, location. Beautiful grounds; great gardens w/ a very nice freshwater pool. Palapas w/tables, a great sun deck overlooking the beach, plenty of chairs around the pool. Staff is very friendly, maid service is wonderful. It is quite and the other guests and residents were terrific. The beach is marvelous. Pristine white sand, clean, wide, surf is low due to the reef, marked swimming and snorkeling areas, plenty of coral formations within an easy swim and a cenote. It is an easy five minute walk along the beach into town and the pier (fishing and snorkeling boats available there).
As for PoMo, we simply loved it. The restaurant scene is outstanding. There is a great little market on the town square that is perfect for picking up daily supplies. There are quaint little shops for clothing and local goods, jewelry and whatever we needed. The people are friendly and a real eclectic mixture of local Mayans, Mexicans, Europeans, Canadians and americans. Our favorite place to relax, unwind and meet friends is the Cantina Habanero. We felt safe in Puerto Morelos and permitted our teenagers to venture out on their own.
For us this was a perfect location; far enough from Cancun to beat the crowds and yet close enough to provide convenience of the shopping and attractions of the big city. We were able to take day trips to all of the ruins and be back in our comfortable accommodations every evening. The airport is about a 45-minute drive along a very good four-lane highway. We really loved to location and plan on returning when our schedules permit!

We are about to go to Villas Playa Sol PM for the second time, we are to be here for 5 weeks. We stayed here Dec 2008 for 4 weeks. Wonderful owners, manager, and caretakers, we were so welcomed. The condo was so comfortable and all the comforts of home, with the luxury of having the Carribean in view from the patio!! What more could we ask for after travelling all the way from the Yukon, Canada. We always felt safe in the area, the pool is great, steps away from the beach, so nice to see so many local Mexican people on the beaches. We especially enjoyed meeting people and trying all the wonderful restaurants.

We had a great time at Debi's place in Puerto Morelos. My wife and I and our 7yr old son traveled together and we thought the accommodations were perfect. We don't like the hotel experience and certainly are not the all-inclusive types. We almost always gravitate toward renting private residences and usually rent a car for venturing out.
Debi's place was perfect for us. Very comfortable with large, comfortable beds. A large, fully equipped kitchen and a balcony overlooking the sea and pool. The clors were bright, the furniture was clean and comfortable and the water was hot. The pool grounds were immaculate and even a few iguanas kept me company while I was in the pool. The beach in front of the condo is wide and accommodates a nice crowd while not feeling crowded. During the week, it was sparse and very comfortable. We were right next door to a great little hotel that had top-notch lunch joint and we ate there several times. The town was a very short walk from the condo down the beach or through the streets. If you don't care to leave Puerto Morelos during your stay, you really won't need a car. We drove all over the place, from cenotes to Playa del Carmen at night and had a great time.
We were treated very well at Playsol and always felt safe and well cared for. We would love to return again. -

We have traveled to Puerto Morelos several times in the past few years and love this little town. It is quiet and laid back yet has plenty of entertainment so its definately not boring. This was our first year staying in Debi's condo at Villas Playasol and it was everything we expected. Debi was outstsanding she was so helpfull arranging our dates and providing all the information we requested. Cece, the onsite manager gave us tips on how to travel, dine, and catch the best entertainment as the locals would without looking like tourists, she was awesome. The accomodations were very clean and well kept they had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beach is gorgeous there, the best snorkeling and diving anywhere in Mexico. Its officially our favorite place to vacation, we hope to be lounging around the pool there again soon. Doug & Peg Carter

MNGreat Beach Location and Fully Equipped Condo
Left on 02/04/2010 for a stay in January 2010
My husband and I along with our two college sons
stayed in this condo in early January 2010 for 10
days. The condo was fully equipped with all the
kitchen gadgets and appliances you need so we were
able to cook all our own meals. There was plenty
of space for four adults, so much better than a
hotel room! We loved the location of the condo as
it is so close to the ocean and the best snorkeling
in Puerto Morelos. There was always an ample
supply of beach towels provided which saves a lot
of luggage space, no need to bring any along. We
would definitely recommend this condo for anyone
looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation. There was
plenty of outdoor seating by the pool or sun deck
above the ocean. -

My wife and I have stayed at Villas Playa Sol for the past three years. We stay on average about two weeks at time. We will be returning once again this year. Cant wait! The condo we rent is managed by Debi Yeabsley. I can not say enough good things about the condo itself, the town of Puerto Morelos and its people. Debi has always been extremely helpful with scheduling and keeping us up to date with happenings in and around Puerto Morelos. Cece is the manager at Playa Sol another case of I cant say enough good things she has gone out of her way on multiple occasions to make sure that our stay is perfect.
Puerto Morelos is a sleepy little beach town that has just the right mix of things to do, bars, restaurants and shops. About a year ago an article was in the New York Times about Puerto that did a very good job of describing the town. I have included the link in this post. If it doesn't show up just Google "new york times, puerto morelos" and you should find it.
