I spend the month of February at Abby del Sol and I feel like it is my home away from home. Comfortable apartment, great management and right around the corner from the beautiful beach. With a short walk to town to shops and restaurants, what's there not to love!!

I just spent the entire month at abby del Sol, as I did last year and am planning to do so next year and for as long as I can. I love my apartment, and although I rent it by myself, I always have visitors coming to stay for a week or so. My guests also love staying here and are planning to return next year as well. What I love is the great customer service, in a beautiful setting. the property is close enough to the center of town, yet quiet enough to be able to relax and unwind. The fact that there are so many repeat visitors is in itself a testament to what a great place this is vacation at.

I have already referred a friend to Abbey del Sol.We loved the pool and garden area. I enjoyed using the free bikes and taking a yoga class on the roof. Liked the advice on restaurants, enjoyed walking to and from town. Felt very safe. Liked how large our apartment was. We want to return for a week or more, as we only had 2 days.

Beautiful place, clean, safe, and a good deal. Not on the beach, but only a short walk there. Bike usage and in house staff were great. A bit out of town, which was nice. Easy bike or $2 cab in. No problem. I definitely recommend this place.

I always love staying at Abbey del Sol. The grounds are lovely, and the people in the office are wonderful to deal with. The other staff is very nice as well. There is always a hello. It is great to have access to books, games, DVD's, bikes, internet and a free phone. I will definitely go back again. I have been there three times now and I think I like it more each time. It is great getting to know Abby and Tiff. It was so nice to walk into the office this past time and have Abby say "Hi Kristy, welcome back!" It is also fun to meet other guests by the pool and chat with them.

Really enjoyed our stay. Cooling off in the sparkling pool, relaxing in the hot tub under the stars, pedalling around town on Abbey's bikes and enjoying a relaxing breakfast on our deck each morning - what more could you ask for!
Maybe next time we will rouse ourselves enough to take one of the many trips that Abbey can provide. Thanks Abby, Tiff, Jin and all the other friendly staff! -

This was our second year staying at Abbey del Sol in Puerto Morelos, and we have already booked our third trip for March 2013! And each year we increase our length of stay. We have stayed in three different units between Abbey 1 and Abbey 2 and we have enjoyed all of them.
Abbey del Sol is perfect for travelers who want to have their own space that is bigger than a hotel room (you have your own apartment, equipped with a kitchen) and who don’t need to be pampered. That isn’t to say that the staff doesn’t take care of you – they do!
You can cook your own meals if you want or you can walk or bike into town and pick from many different restaurants – Mexican, Italian, Chinese, steakhouse, and more! You are also only a slow, five-minute walk from the beach, which is very sandy.

We had a great stay at Abbey del Sol. The units were clean and stylish and very roomy. We loved having the free bicycles, loved the roof top area for morning and evening meditation,the location was great to get to the beach (1 1/2 blocks) and to the town square (a nice 4 block walk). Puerto Moreles's selection of restaurants was not what we hoped. Abbey and Jin were friendly and informative hosts.

We loved Abbey del Sol and Puerto Morelos. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The beach is great. There's a lot to do in and around the town. Abbey and Tiff's (and Jin's) suggestions for outings were perfect. We loved having the bikes because the hotel is several blocks away from the "action" of the town. We rode them around everywhere, day and night, and always felt safe. Our rooms were well equipped, comfortable and spacious. We'll be back with our kids.

We spent 2 weeks in January at Abbey Del Sol. Easy booking and very easy to work with the management. Transportation to and from the airport was seamless. Our apartment had everything we needed to cook all meals if we wanted to. It was minutes to the beach and just a short safe walk to the town square for shopping and a great variety of restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here.

We rented the last week in November 2011. The place was spacious and attractively decorated. Fridge and stove worked very well. Kitchen also had tea, coffee, sugar, S&P;, and a little cooking oil. Bed was comfortable and a little softer than many of the hotels in the area. There was a large DVD library at the office.
Location is a 15 minute walk to the centre of town and a block an a half from the beach. Beach chairs were provided. Excellent value; I just might like to try a place on the beach the next time. -

We had a wonderful time at Abbey del Sol! Jin and Freddy were very helpful in suggesting places to go and things to see. The use of the bikes was great we used them multiple times everyday. Everything was very clean, everyone was professional and very helpful. We didn't need to worry about anything. The beach was so close and the town a short bike ride away. A very laid back fun town to explore and just enjoy and relax in.
