This bright and nicely furnished apartment is located on the first floor of a 2-storey family house with just 2 units. It offers you a private, spacious terrace with pool view, a second private terrace in the back and a shared roof-top terrace with a breathtaking ocean view. The apartment has been renovated in 2010; it is fully equipped, ceiling fans, screened windows and AC in the bedroom. The bedroom is equipped with one Double Bed; a Sofa Bed could be added in the Living Room. The bathroom is bright and spacious.

The gated beachfront community of Costambar ist just a 5 minutes drive away from Puerto Plata and 25 minutes from the international airport (80 minutes to Santiago Airport). From the apartment it is only 100 yards to the beautiful and safe beach. All the amenities of Costambar like restaurants, bars, supermarket tennis court and golf course are just a 5-8 minutes walk away. The Ocean World Aquatic Park is a 10 minutes drive away at neighbouring Cofresi. 5 minutes by taxi to the cable car station (Mount Isabel) and 25 minutes to Playa Dorada. Save parking is available in front of the house.

Deposit and cancellation fees:
We require a 50% deposit for bookings within 3 month prior arrival and the remaining 50% on arrival. For bookings over 3 month ahead we require 150.- US$ to confirm the booking and 50% of the remaining amount to be paid 60 days prior arrival. For cancellations more than 30 days prior arrival we refund 50% of your deposit or the option to change the reservation (depending on availability) within a period of 6 month from the original arriving date.

My wife & I stayed with Michael and Berta in the one bedroom suite for 6 weeks and enjoyed our stay. It is a quiet neighbourhood with easy access via cheap taxi to Puerto Plata. Michael personally led us on some tours which we really enjoyed and were most economical. We felt very safe, especially with Blackie the shepherd dog on guard. We got a short term membership at the golf club gym which entitles you to use the pool. Lots of restaurants within walking. We did not have nor need a car rental.For 2 weeks, my wife's sister and niece joined us in the adjacent studio apartment, which was cozy with us all together. We met some great neighbours from around the world alternating in the studio as well. Michael and Berta were great at directing us to various sites to see and amenities that were needed. Very economical choice of accommodation.

My husband and I spent 13 days in the DR and stayed here 4 nights. We also stayed in a hotel and and B and B, but really enjoyed the apartment, as our own "space". It is quiet, close to the beach and has lush vegetation in the yard.The apartment was clean, had ceiling fans and aC and was comfortabily furnished.The owner and his family were very personable, including their dog Blackie.We spent some time with the owner and enjoyed learning more about the "real' DR. The apartment had all the necessaties needed for a short or long stay and is a short drive from Puerta Plata and other attractions in the area. The apartment is a great value.
After booking the apartment I corresponded with the owner serveral times, asking about the DR, and he was always prompt in his response. There was a mix-up with double booking our dates, the owner took care of it immediately and called us in the U.S. to apologize. We enjoyed our stay. -

Wonderful one bedroom accomadation, only i apartment so you have the beautiful grounds and pool to yourself. The owners that live upstairs were very helpul when we needed them but we never knew they were there otherwise. The apartment was clean and bright and everything worked. The beach is a stones throw and it is an easy walk to the store and all the nightlife.This was our fourteenth trip to tha DR and one of the best places we stayed. Will definitely be returning!!

I spend 3 weeks in this wonderfull place, Very close to the beach and a good a nice food.
The aparment is quite big and have space for all, its clean, have good internet. Big terrasse with chairs and table, where you can spend a lot of time enjoying yourself. Good pool with lounge area and barberque.
The owners is very nice and helpfull, so you will welcome and home thé minut you enter trhe house.
I would recommend this place for everybody, and I will return there for my next stay for sure..
