Henderson, NevadaTo die for view ... love the location!"
Left on 06/22/2012 for a stay in June 2012
I've been to Puerto Vallarta many times and I always go the condo route...I could never do a hotel ever again in my life. A condo gives you a home away from home. You can cook if you want, and have a living room on nights when you just want to chill.
Casa Pacifica, unit 740, is a well kept condo unit in Sea River tower, part of the Holiday Inn complex in the Hotel Zone.
After an effortless check-in (where we didn't have to give a credit card if we didn't want to) we took the lift to the 7th floor. Opened the door on this hot humid day (June is really "Low Season" and kinda humid) and were greeted with a fabulously "cool" condo, and I mean that in more than one way. The temperature was great, about 75 degrees cool and the layout was very nice. But, the killer view from the balcony was heart stopping. Sunsets and Black Russians never looked so good!
The kitchen has all the essentials for making a light breakfast and morning coffee. It's really a kitchenette, so don't plan on roasting a turkey. Beach toys and towels were also provided. For beachgoers, which I am not, the beach here is super, and it's just beyond the resort's pool area. You can use all the Holiday Inn's facilities and get a 15% discount in restaurants and shops. We did this once for breakfast which was less than satisfactory. Hop on a bus and go to Freddy's Tucan in Old Town for breakfast.
Location on the beach is great. Walk to the street and there is a bus every minute or two (40 cents) that will take you to the Old Town, or Malecon, in about 5 minutes, or hail a cab for about 4 bucks. Major shopping is maybe 5 minutes walking to Plaza Caracol where you can catch a movie or visit a casino. The last thing I wanted to see was a casino (I'm from Las Vegas) but we shopped the Soriana supermarket for breakfast items...coffee, juice, etc, etc.
We spent 10 nights here and were very satisfied. Only negative thing I can say is that we had to wear wristbands the whole time. It identifies you as a resident with security as you enter the property (a good thing), but when you walk the Malecon, it labels you as a tourist (a bad thing, unless you really do want to buy a time-share)...so we cut the bands and used scotch tape when we left or entered the property.
For the price, this was a great value. The owner even emailed us after 24 hours to check on our needs and satisfaction. Oh, and the wi-fi is free and works great. Would I stay here again? The answer is simple: in a heartbeat!Response from High End Properties - 07/10/2012

Las Vegas, NevadaFantastic Oceanview Condo
Left on 09/14/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We have visited Puerto Vallarta numerous times and normally reserve a room at Villa Premier Resort. In May (2011) we rented Casa Vallarta #737 for 10 days. We loved this condo and you could not ask for nicer, more helpful hosts. From our initial reservation to the end of our visit and even after we returned to our Las Vegas home, the owners, Cherie Veber and Pam treated us like family. The condo was well appointed, extremely clean, and the views of Banderas Bay from the balcony were absolutely beautiful. We cannot say enough nice things about Casa Vallarta #737. Cherie, Pam, and Mary, thanks for making our latest trip to PV memorable.

The condo we stayed in was decent...not too fancy but just fine. However, the lower floor condos on the north end of the building (where my parents stayed) had their of the ocean completely blocked by another building. Our condo was fine, except we found the furniture, including the beds, extremely uncomfortable. There was no comfortable place to hang out! Other than that, our stay was very good. The staff are friendly and helpful, the pool is nice, and overall the place is very pleasant.

The queen beds are brand new and the two brand new lounge chairs on the balcony where one can hang out with a cold drink were just purchased a couple of months ago from Costco. The Mexican style furniture is typically straight-backed (as pictured), so we bouth reclining lounge chairs for the deck to make sure our guests were extra comfortable.

Yonkers, NYWONDERFUL VACATION
Left on 01/10/2010 for a stay in October 2009
This was our first time rental a condo for our vacation and I have to say I will never go back to a regular room again!. The owner of our condo was very patient, informative and extremely accommodating. The resort itself had the nicest staff, who always went out of their way to make you feel super comfortable. Especially at the pool area, you have to meet Enrique, who will bring your next drink before you first one is done. We are DEFINITELY going back, and will definitely stay at this condo over and over again.
