Description from the owner
MY WONDERFUL OCEANFRONT PENTHOUSE, which I have named Penthouse Of The Dolphins, is directly on the ocean overlooking the Malecon. Situated in the middle of town only two blocks from the main plaza, Plaza Principal, it is walking distance to virtually every shop, restaurant and attraction that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. Its perfect for parties of up to five people, and of course is completely air-conditioned.

Portland, ORPerfection in Puerto Vallarta
Left on 01/23/2013 for a stay in January 2013
Extremely comfortable penthouse condo in the heart of the Malecon boardwalk and a short walk to many excellent restaurants and beaches. Excellent food, especially breakfast at Vitea on the ground floor outside this condo. I also highly recommend dining at Joe Jacks, Trio, Cafe des artists, and Fajita Republic all accessible by foot from this condo. Also great ice cream at Lix on Basilio Badillo near Cafe de Olla.
The vallarta-adventures .com boat trip to Las Caletas for a day of swimming and snorkeling on a quiet secluded beach is worthwhile. Don't miss the incredible sand sculptures visible from the Malecon boardwalk north of the condo. -

Denver, COWish there was an option to give more than 5 stars!

I can't overstate how wonderful this property is. Every detail has been taken care of: beach towels are abundant, kitchen is fully functional, comfortable spots to lounge indoors or out...I even found a first aid kit when I needed a bandaid! This is a fantastic spot to spend a few days or a few weeks, and is walking distance to the best bars and restaurants in PV. Or, you can spend your days laying around on the balcony, people watching and listening to the waves crashing just below you.

St. LouisWonderful time a PH of the Dolphins
Left on 04/27/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Our party of three women, two adults and one teen, enjoyed a fabulous six days at Penthouse of the Dolphins. The location and accommodations are superb. In fact, the online pictures and description do not really do it justice. The master bedroom suite is particularly fabulous; you feel almost surrounded by ocean. The deck and covered dining area are always inviting, and particularly great for watching the sunset or nightly fireworks. The nearby pool, although relatively small, also has a wonderful ocean view and spacious patio. The in house washer/dryer and free Wi-Fi were welcome amenities.
Attention to detail and cleanliness was evident throughout. We did not make full use of the kitchen, but it had everything one could need. A bathroom bulb went out, and we readily found a replacement in the utility closet.
Michel, the owner, was a pleasure to do business with, both friendly and efficient. He also honored our prior reservation, even though another party wanted to book a much longer stay that spanned our visit. Rosa Maria, the property manager, deserves special mention. She is delightful and obviously effective. She greeted us on arrival, made sure we had everything we needed, helped scheduled us for a cruise, and saw us off from the condo at the time of departure.
It is not always a quiet getaway. You will know that there is an ocean a few feet away and that there are folks dining and having fun on the malacon, but it was all very special to us. I would go back or rent one of Michel's other properties in a heartbeat.

Our multi generational group of 5 women had a great time here, loved being able to cook in the well appointed kitchen and dine on the balcony overlooking the Malecon. Close to markets ,shops and restaurants, although we preferred to eat in most evenings and watch the goings-on below. Felt like very welcome house guests in a lovely home, much more comfortable than a hotel. Recommend it highly, hope to be back.

Calgary, Alberta, CanadaOnce again it's a pleasure

Just wanted to drop a note to you Michel to thank you again for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Penthouse of the Dolphins. We think this was our 5th stay there so that is an indication of how we enjoy your Unit. As usual, lovely Rosa-Maria was waiting to greet us and checked in to see if there were any issues. That is something many owners do not have their Manager do. During one dilly of a summer thunderstorm the phone went out but she had it re-connected in record time. We truly enjoy the free local call privilege as it allows us to call Cafes for reservations (or during the summer to see if they are closed for vacation). Your recent repair of the roof on the Terrace worked well during the thunder storms in the evenings. The construction on the Malecon did not bother us at all and there was absolutely no noise or dust so that should be good news for future renters. The addition of the big TV in the master bedroom and the extra table and chairs on the "ocean side" of the Terrace resulted in all our meals outside and we thank you for that thoughtfulness. Being right in Old Town we are always able to try old favourites when it comes to real Mexican food and search out new cafes as we stroll through the town. I might mention we went to a fabulous cafe (mom & pop) called Gaby's, just 3 blocks north of the Church a total of 3 times. I highly recommend it for future guests. As usual, the 24/7 Security is an added bonus and we are learning a bit of Spanish from the guys because it is always the same men working. They are so helpful in opening doors when we come back loaded with groceries. Because we go during the rainier season it is helpful to have the built-in washer/dryer. In closing, it is always a pleasure dealing with you (and Rosa-Maria) and we hope to join you again in 2012. I began to have doubts about the name of your Unit as we have never seen dolphins during our stays. On the last morning 6 dolphins were frolicking outside the unit. Gracias

Vancouver, CanadaA dream come true!

This was the best place I've ever stayed in. We were here in the summer of 2009. Right on the Malecon and with a perfect balcony view of the sunset every night. We made fresh pina coladas from coconuts that we bought each night and strolled the beach every day. This is a perfect location as it is not in the hotel sector of PV, it is in the old town area...way better.
Although the dining is very good along the beach, I'd recommend venturing 5 or 6 blocks away from the coast and finding some of the smaller locally run restaurants. Their food is amazing and less than half the cost. Also, we found very good affordable food in one of the shopping markets a couple blocks away. The best part was talking to the workers and watching them laugh as we ate habenero salsa. :) -

DenverFar and away the nicest place we've ever stayed!
Left on 06/01/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We came across this condo on Trip advisor and thought it looked pretty nice. But the pictures we saw and information we read didn't even come close to doing it justice.
The property is located on the Malecon in downtown Vallarta, just a hop, skip and a jump away from Old Town and the Romantic Zone. Walk out your door and everything you could want is right there: restaurants, beach, shops, bars, transportation, etc.
The place itself is absolutely gorgeous! We don't normally notice how a place is decorated, but my wife and I thought this was impeccably done. And it's very spacious and open, with a huge wrap-around balcony, that along with the master bed and bath, we basically never left for four days. The master sits in the corner of the penthouse on the ocean and sliding doors open up on both walls and lead out onto the deck, which has an area for sunbathing, coffee, a full-on meal, and another little area right on the corner. You can lie in bed and listen to the waves and look out onto the ocean, then jump in the shower which also has two glass windows that open that look out onto the ocean.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, etc., and everything you need to make a meal. We went out to a local supermarket and bought groceries and made dinner and breakfast pretty much every day. When we decided to leave the penthouse, we just walked down to the infinity pool which sits on the roof about 30 feet away. It was nice and quiet, great for laying out and reading and taking a dip.
Across the way from the penthouse is a parking garage, which was completely empty this time of year, meaning we had complete privacy even when out on the deck. From that vantage, you can people watch along the Malecon if you want or just watch the ships lazily plug along. And the sunsets ... Think about 50% of the pics we took were of the sunsets off the balcony.
Overall, we were completely taken aback at how nice this place was. A truly memorable honeymoon!!Response from MICHEL RUBINI - 06/02/2011
