We stayed at Casa Robinson for 2 weeks and found the house everything we had hoped for. It was quaint and private and we loved the location to the beach. We were very comfortable there and the staff at Green Management were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

      Great place but very isolated.

Left on 11/05/2012 for a stay in November 2012

Casa Robinson is a nice little home directly on the the beach at Punta Uva. The beach is beautiful and we saw at least two sloths around the propertly. The air Conditioning in the master bedroom was incredible! However, the house is a bit remote and there is no security person watching the property which is very important in this area. I felt uncomfortable having my family in such a secluded location, but I am sure others would love the seclusion.

My husband and I just returned from Casa Robinson. We stayed in the house for the past two weeks sharing it with my sister and her boyfriend and we all adored it!!! The pictures don't do the property justice, it's a super cute house in the midst of beautiful landscaping. The beach directly out front was so spectacular that we barely felt the need to driv to other beaches ( as we have in the past - its our third trip to the area). The house is very well sealed to keep out any tropical friends, which is very rare!! I can't wait to go back!!! I highly recommend this house and we won't be staying anywhere else ;0)

      June getaway

Left on 07/01/2011 for a stay in June 2011

I received a quick and good service from the company. The home is beautiful and perfect for the beach, and is well situated in a peaceful surroundings. I would like to suggest the following to improve the house:
      - A better cleaning of the bathroom, specially the shower.
      - Better cleaning and/or replacement of the bed linings.
      - Replace the clear roofing for normal ceilings, during the day it gets very hot.
      - Small repairs must to be done: the exterior laundy sink drainage, the secondary room ceiling fan light; both slidding doors.

Best beach house by the sea

Left on 06/24/2011 for a stay in June 2011

It is a dream house, a haven for relaxation. I would love to stay there again.
The owners were nice enough to leave towels for the sea and for the shower. It is surrounded by greenery, so when you wake up in the morning, it is peaceful and quite. There is also a gazebo and 2 hammocks, so if you stay longer than 3 days and would like to do a BBQ, you have the amenities needed including a BBQ.
It is very relaxing. Only few paces not more than 15 to find yourself on the sand surrounded by palm trees, howler monkeys and warm Caribbean sea.

Location, location, location! This bungalow is in the best spot along the Caribbean coast. The beach is fabulous and just steps away while house is still private. Loved the hammocks. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Would strongly suggest renting a car. Just loved all the small restaurants like Jungle Love and Pecora Nera. Bumpy roads got old but kept the crowds down.

      Beach-perfect holiday home

Left on 12/28/2010 for a stay in December 2010

Casa Robinson is in a perfect location for a Caribbean vacation in Costa Rica. It's at Punta Uva - a quiet, unspoilt beach area 10km south of Puerto Viejo. The beach was just 20 steps from the front door and we shared the beach with no more than 5 people - ever! The beach is clean and the sea, depending on the weather, calm or more exciting! Foir these reasons alone we would recommend Casa Robinson.

My husband and I stayed there with a couple from UK, old friends. We arrived late but were checked in immediately and looked after. The house had everything needed - even games for those wet days. Only one grouse about the house - it could do with some new crockery and some more useful kitchen items like a salad bowl.

The garden is very pretty and well maintained and there are lovely hammocks for lazy days. There is a restaurant near, though we never went there because we ate in town with friends. But the local restaurant is a great resource if you don't want to get in the car again.

Least favourable aspect - we spent Christmas there so there was no cleaning service because of the way the days fell, though when we asked for new towels and a clean through it was provided.

Best aspect - a toss up between the perfect location and a really sweet house at a reasonable price for 4 people.

      Thanks all!

Great little house on a beautiful beach

Left on 12/08/2010 for a stay in November 2010

My husband, daughter, granddaughter, and I spent a couple of nights here. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, but we didn't cook much as there were too many good restaurants nearby to choose from. The beach is, literally, just steps away. The area felt safe and secure. Some reviewers noted that the beach was safe for children. We did not find this. The ocean waves and currents were too strong for adult swimming, but I'm sure the water conditions change with the weather. We all enjoyed wading along the shore. The beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Truly breath-taking. I'll book the house again if it's available when I travel to the area.

Thank you Christine. It is true that at this time of the year it is rough and I do not bring my kids there but 200 meters north, behind the point there is the cove of Punta Uva: more people but very safe as no waves. Come back Feb or March, it is a lake.

Left on 10/31/2010 for a stay in September 2010

we spend our honey moon in the casa robinson, it was just lovely, the area is perfect, you are hidden in between the trees, the feeling is like you have your own private beach in less than 20 meters!!.

The house itself is great, 2 rooms, nice kitchen, great living room, and the morning sounds are amazing, howler monkeys will make sure you will wake up around 5:30 , All nature sounds makes you feel so close up into another world.
the beach is amazing, very safe for kids, and has its own magical look, just like in the movies
The area itself is close to the Gandoca Manzanillo park, so you will see lots of animals, birds and of course sloths!! :), the only thing you should make sure is that you lock everything in the safe when you leave the room, we locked our laptops wallets and other things, this area like others due to poverty has its own problems, but if you listen to the owners and make sure you lock everything when you leave the casa it should be fine!!

The owners are really nice and helpful, after 4 days we were about to move the another property belong to the owners, but we wanted to stay as we liked the casa , so we talked to Emmanuelle and of course it was no problem at all.

I hope that we will be able to visit again, we miss that area, and of course next time we would like to check out villa toucan, another property from Emmanuelle.

I just want to share the amazing stay we had at Casa Robinson. Located on, and I mean really on, the Punta Uva beach, which for us is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. The house has a very nice standard, especially compared to general alternatives on the Caribbean coast. I can especially recommend it to families with young children since living on the beach makes life so much easier compared to packing the car everyday with all beach gear. We can truly recommend Casa Robinson.

      Great spot

Left on 08/21/2010 for a stay in October 2009

We were hesitant at first, worried about weather and water. The road was full of potholes, and we reached the house late at night and ready to go to bed.
As soon as we got up the next morning though, we found we are in a dream spot. Short walk from the ocean with a beautiful garden. The ocean was nice and quiet, very safe for a 4 year old, we even went snorkeling and had a blast.
Food wise there is a small restaurant not on the beach within walking distance with good food - avoid the beach restaurant though.
The pinto family were great and responsive hosts. Really a treat.
Only negatives are the roads full of potholes so anywhere you go is a very bumpy ride, and the fact that there is a garbage dump in the back where the beach restaurant is throwing all their garbage which attracts buzzards and smells bad. Not noticeable from the front of the house, but very noticeable in the back.

We loved our stay at Casa Robison. The proximity to the beach as well as the remoteness of the location was great. It was a nice departure from touristy-stuff. The house is simple and comfortable- the air conditioning units in the bedroom work well!

Our only issues were the power went out twice while we were there (but they went out in all of Punta Uva), and there weren't a lot of restaurants close by. There were a few if you don't mind walking. I'd recommend renting a car in Punta Uva, or budget money for taxiing. A map of of the location would have been helpful as well when we checked in.

They are easy to work with and friendly and the house is in the perfect spot (right on your own little private beach & a short walk to two yummy drinks/food spots), is clean, comfortable and has great decor. Pictures won't do it justice.

Left on 05/11/2010 for a stay in June 2009

Unlike most of your experiences when you rely on pictures and find yourself saying "But it looked so much bigger, nicer, newer in the photos",our experience was just the opposite "It is nicer, newer, more private, more beautiful, and closer(to the beach). We were just 30 steps from a wonderful beach that was not overrun with tourists. Walk out in the morning with your coffee and most of the time the only one on the beach. Very private with sloths, toucans, and howler monkeys either in or next to the back yard.

The owners took care of any needs we had and were very helpful when needed and showed great hospitality. Besides being interesting people, they made us feel like our interactions with them were more then a business transaction. The house was also very special.

The only drawback to our experience was a common one in Costa Rica. It pays to be a little bit paranoid about the security of your property. Costa Rica has a fair bit of poverty where ever you go and you can't blame people for wanting to redistribute the wealth a little bit. Have travel insurance!

If you are looking for an area without luxury hotels, golf courses, and with a very cool vibe and loads of stuff to do. This is the place. We spent a month there with our two kids.

      Very Private

Left on 05/07/2010 for a stay in March 2010

We have been to Puerto Viejo area many times. We
thought we would like to stay in Punta Uva since
we love the beach there so well.

First off---We got there late because of our
driver taking forever and the managers made us pay
a late fee. They sent a nice guy by to pick up the
cash for the late fee around the time the sun rose
on our first morning. :( Second-- the house
keeping came to clean around 7 a.m., we come to
vacation so that we get to sleep in, not getting
kicked out of bed so that they can clean. We asked
them to come back and never saw them again the
whole 9 days! Third--- The nice guy was once again
sent over at the crack of dawn to tell us we had
to come to the office and pay our balance. I would
much rather had paid that before we left so we did
not have to waste an hour of our vacay at that
      office!
It rained the whole nine days, so no beach time.
We then just wanted to go into town everyday and
it takes forever from this house. If there would
have been sun, we would have enjoyed this location
      more.
The house is really cute and a beautiful beach
right in front, but the customer service is
      lacking at best.

We always have great reviews about our customer services so I do not understand where this come from.
Cleaning service is every 3 days and we try to schedule it if possible accordingly to the wishes of the client.
The balance is due at check in.
Check in has a late fee of $20 if between 7PM and 9Pm, no check in after 9PM.
Do not worry we do not bother people at crack of dawn.
All that is explained in the email, I sent prior paying and arrival.

      Great House! Great Time!

Left on 04/30/2010 for a stay in July 2009

This is a great property right on the water. You can hear the waves crashing as you lay in bed at night. Although you are basically on the beach, you are seperated by a beautiful wall of palm trees that make you feel like you really are all alone.

The house is adorable & the perfect size for a small family to relax. The hut outside provides a placd to play cards in the afternoon & escape from the sun.

Kitchen is small but adequate for light cooking and snacks. Bathroom is large with a great shower.

There are plenty of cafe's and bars to provide ample food & drink from breakfast to dinner.

Overall, this was probably our favorite house/location during our two week trip of Costa Rica. Will definitely stay here again the next time we visit CR.

It was challenging booking a house in a region that we were unfamiliar with but we went for it with a leap of faith and were not disappointed. The house was beautiful, quiet, and perfect for the two of us. The location was incredible, the sea was a bit unforgiving due to a major storm front that came through while we were there, but it was still breathtaking. We were a bit removed from anything which I liked and my wife did not like. The roads were horrible and we had a rental car versus a 4 wheel drive vehicle; so for sure we would pic a different vehicle. Overall it was an incredible experience with very helpful hosts!

Left on 04/27/2010 for a stay in November 2009

I have been looking for years to find a beautiful, uncrowded, unspoiled, surfing beach. Imagine an adorable little house, surrounded by flowers and coconut trees, under the restful sound of the waves and the howling monkeys. The owners are charming and very knowledgeable about the area, the restaurants, stores and secrets of the rain forest all around. If you are looking for cable TV and tour guides then this is not a place for you. But if what you are searching for is an incredibly romantic escape then by all means go there.
