A magical and peaceful place on the Caribbean Sea of Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. The Magic Moon Beach House is set in a spacious tropical garden just steps from the quiet beach.

For those who don't like to compromise on their vacation, this big beach house has two stories. Upstairs, it comes with a master bedroom with a king size bed and 1 other bedroom with a queen size bed. The bathroom is located between the two bed rooms. Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and a private bathroom adjunct.

The terrace extends across the entire front of the house, because you'll want to see and feel the the ocean and its fresh air. Also..., the house was designed so everyone has space to read, play and listen to music, play and lounge without infringement. You can even crank down some transparent protective shutters when the breeze gets too breezy.

Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need including filtered water to drink. From the kitchen as well as the terrace style living room, you have the most beautiful view over the Ocean.

Take a warm shower (if you want), lounge on the terrace or check your internet and feel secure with safe and trap door storage room.

Further conveniences: phone, high-speed internet, ceiling fans, cable TV, maid service upon request (please organise at check in), laundry service at 8$/load, washer and dryer upon request (only if monthly rental)

Our guests are welcome to use all the amenities from the Hotel Banana Azul nearby like: Swimmingpool and whirlpool (from age 16), hammock and chairs on the beach, bike rental, breakfast for $ 6.95 plus taxes, restaurant and bar.

It's perfect to enjoy a long term stay or a week in a spectacular setting. Since you are connected to the world through the high speed internet, you can bring your computer and work while living in a natural paradise! Discounts negotiable for longer periods (min 2 months).

  Magic Moon is Magical

  You will not be disappointed when you book your stay at Magic Moon. It is exactly as represented in it’s listing. We arrived around 6:30 PM after an “interesting” drive from San Jose (road conditions and traffic in CR are mentioned in many other posts..yes it is true, but don’t let that deter you…just pay for the SUV and GPS it is worth every colon!). We checked in at Banana azul. Within minutes we were pulling through the front gates of Magic Moon and were greeted by Nina. Nina gave us a tour of the grounds, home and made some recommendations for meals, grocery shopping and general information about the area. Soon we were relaxing on the wonderful covered outdoor living area listening to the waves crash upon the beach. We rented both levels of Magic Moon thinking we might need the additional space, but the upstairs alone was perfect for 2 couples. The bedrooms/beds were comfortable and we all enjoyed sleeping under the mosquito netting though we had no issue with bugs of any kind during our stay. We prepared meals/ cocktails several times - the kitchen had everything we needed. The black sand beach is just beyond the front gate and is lovely. We took advantage of the services and amenities at Banana azul (separate review) and would walk the beach to sit on their chaise lounge/hammocks. Nina and Gecko Trail adventures located within Banana azul helped us book a jungle hike and massages and made other suggestions of things to do. The town of Puerto Viejo is a short drive and we ventured there two evenings as well, for some daytime shopping and exploring of the area. Magic Moon is magical and we all agreed that just hanging out in the outdoor living areas was the highlight of staying at this property.

  we loved magic moon beach house. nina was very helpful to all our needs. place was beautiful and very clean. grounds were immaculate. small suggestions to make things better. if the bushes in front were trimmed lower, there would be a better ocean view, and if beach chairs were provided. loved the chickens!

  Relaxing Caribbean Beachfront Oasis

  Friendly, attentive, and welcoming service made our stay in this beautifully crafted house a delight. The house gave privacy and security at the same time as blending in with the natural environment. The private garden of exotic fruit trees and was lovingly tended and fun to explore. The nearby black sand beach was a minute's walk and great for swimming, a few people about so private and safe. There was a delicious cool breeze from the ocean, and the view from the balcony was incredible. The large modern kitchen was well equipped and groceries easy to attain by a quick bike ride to town. We only used the upper level of the house which was very spacious but this would be a great option for families or groups. Highly recommend Magic Moon and will be back
