The house is located only 300 meters from Playa Negra or Black Beach and very close to Puerto Viejo, the main tourist town on the Caribbean coast. It´s 10 minutes by bicycle to Puerto Viejo or 5 minutes by car. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Puerto Viejo has everything to offer: still undeveloped, the Caribbean beaches are gorgeous and the area is full of wildlife. The offshore coral reefs boast tropical fish and excellent snorkeling. The town of Puerto Viejo boasts an excellent selection of gourmet restaurants ranging from fresh local seafood to vegetarian to Italian to Asian Fusion and of course local Caribbean fare.
For the adventurous visitor, activities include canopy tours, horseback riding, deepsea fishing, whitewater rafting, waterfall hikes, sea kayaking, surfing, etc. Other highlights include a gourmet chocolate tour and an excellent wildlife refuge.

It is difficult for me to put into words how wonderful this place was. The groundskeeper and his family were great. Amelie was extremely helpful with information on just about anything we asked. Where to eat, local history, where to shop, nothing she did not know. We were a group of friends on vacation and really enjoyed ourselves and having a great clean and safe place to call home really made the trip work. Thanks!!

My wife, still getting used to saying that, and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We could not have been happier with our stay here. First, the housekeeper and his family were awesome and helpful...also, the local who manages the property was also first rate with ideas for us of where to eat, go snorkeling, etc. It's a great property, beautiful, maintained backyard, wonderful pool with just the right amount, or no, chlorine (clean), full kitchen, wonderful billiards area, couches, great location, beautiful cleans bedrooms and bathrooms, wireless internet, and at night, it's lit up so well. No aC or TV, you don't need it, it's such a wonderful space, and puerto viejo has more than enough to go do, see, and eat. Highly Recommend.

We are a family of 4; 2 kids , my husband and I. We've been 2 months in this super african style House. This place is wonderful. It has everything you need; the kitchen full equipied, washingmachine, dryer..., good material to cook; a super swimmingpool and a beautiful garden. A huge diningroom with snooker and resting sofas. And the super bedrooms with kingsize beds to sleep as kings and queens.
The experience was really great!! The couple of caretakers is super friendly and flexible.
We were really happy. The location is also a good point, so we could go by bicycle to Puerto Viejo town in a very short time. The beach is 4 minutes walking and the area has really nice people.
We highly recomend this place!!
