Pets are allow but under 20lbs total weight. Pets are charge $10 per day with an upfront $200 pet deposit. Pets only allowed on lower floor. When asking about your pets joining you then you must be renting the lower floor for your pet to be approved. With or without pets half of your rental amount is to be paid up front at the time when the reservation is made and if pet is involved then this $200 pet deposit must be paid at the time when the reservation is made.

Review: We stayed in the Garden Suite at Casa Jessica for 1 week in Early October 2012. This is well built and comfortable house almost right on the beach. The directions for finding this wonderful hideaway was explained like this; Drive up the beach road, and when you think you have gone too far, you haven't gone far enough.
We awoke every morning to the crashing of the surf on the deserted beach and a chorus of various bird song. The only word that comes to mind while watching the sun rise from the little palapa right on the edge of the beach, sipping a freshly brewed coffee, is one version Paradise.
We felt very safe and secure as the Groundskeeper/ Security Guard and his family live on the property. Michel the Property Manager lives about 1 km up the beach and was helpful in answering any questions.
The Kitchen is well equipped, with a full sized fridge and stove and all the utensils that aee needed to prepare some wonderful meals, and then dine on the veranda to soothing sounds of the surf and the birds settling in for the evening.
We also had the use of the facilities at Banana azul Hotel, about 1 km back towards Puerto Viejo. The beach in front of the house is very clean, but the surf can be a bit much some days. However, that just makes body surfing and boogey boarding more fun. On calm days it is easy to swim right in front of the house, with an ideal water temperature.
For those with an eye to fishing, the Pelicans were busy every day diving and catching the Bonitos. We are looking forward to our next trip to the area and are hoping that Casa Jessica will be available for us, as it is well situated for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Pura vida

After leaving another home due to water supply problems, our friends at Hotel Banana azul were able to accomodate us in a new home without a reservation. David at Banana azul recommended a home on the beach that had just been vacated. Manager, Michelle was able to expedite cleaning so we could occupy the home immediately. The service provided by Michelle and Jose was over the top. We could'nt have felt more taken care of. Also, the maid did an amazing job cleaning up after us. The house is so close the the beach, it is incredible! If you love the beach, this is the home for you! The only down side is the taxi ride to town is a bit more. We overcame this by negotiating at flat rate for a car and driver for the entire length of our stay. The well water is not very clean, however a good supply of rainwater water was provided. Linens should be considered for replacement, as they were old and worn. Guests should use caution when exploring surrounding area as there are reports of tourists being robbed. It is best to travel without unessential articles and stay in groups. Overalll, this home was a wonderful experience and the service was excellent!

We had a great stay at Casa Jessica. We stayed in the Garden level(bottom)- 4 people in all. really enjoyed being outside, yoga under the shade or on the beach. The beach is a few feet away, coconut palms and a nice little ramada. We were a little worried when we started driving towards the house, it seemed very long and isolated, but it really was only a mile from Hotel Banana azul and the location was perfect if you want to be away from too much going on. Hardly anyone goes by there, we felt very safe.
We walked to the Hotel and had lunch and dinner there, we also walked to Puerto Viejo. It can seem like a long walk if you dint do this a lot but it's perfect for seeing and enjoying the scenery.
There is no TV but we did have Wi-Fi, the well water is a little weird since it has a distinct smell to it. The towels seemed a little ragedy, but they were clean. The house just needed some minor work, like a light in the hallway that didnt work. However, Jose the caretaker took care of it right away.
The caretaker made our stay fabulous by bringing us coconuts and when he spotted a sloth we were able to see it right away. He took very good care of us and had very good tips about where to swim without so many currents.Response from Casa Jessica - 10/26/2012

Thank you soooo much for your kind review. We certainly want to make every stay an enjoyable stay. You are correct about Jose.. what a wondeful caretaker I have in Jose. I am planning a trip to house next month (November) and will take a hard look at the towels that are provided. Again, I appreciate your comments and hopefully while you were staying there you have generate fond, long term memories of your stay at Casa Jessica.
