PlEASE NOTE THAT THIS RENTAL IS A SHARE. Renters will be renting the 1st floor room of the condo. The room is incredibly spacious with an ensuite bathroom and private balcony; just outside your door is the living room and kitchen. It’s basically like having the whole place to yourself.

Second time I stayed at TJ place. I truly believe travelers should book places like this and have a real taste of the Dominican Republic outside the all inclusive. Love the quietness, love is close to everything. I just relax at the pool, reading my book.. drinking my beer... nighttime is the best, every night is like saturday and places are fun to visit. Im able to dance latin music, enjoy some dominican meal and be truly joyful on my lovely sunny days in Punta Cana. Thanks TJ for being such a great host!

This is the second time I've decided to come and stay here!
The location of the property is just a hop-skip away from the beach and I really love the breeze in the apt. Thomas has made sure accommodations are comfortable for guests - the furnishings are tasteful, it's a clean open space, and it feels like home. There is an ensuite bathroom and balcony off the bedroom overlooking the outdoor pool. One of the best features, and something you won't get anywhere else, are the insights and suggestions on where to go/what to do from Thomas himself. He runs a company that facilitates excursions and trips - you couldn't have a more ideal host while visiting. My husband and I stayed at this penthouse during our recent visit to Punta Cana. It is in a lovely community of condo's. The community has a really nice pool that is beautifully maintained. The penthouse is clean and nicely furnished. It has a living room, kitchen, dining area and bedrooms. The bathrooms are clean. The best part about the apartment is the beautiful breeze that you get on the open area balcony. I could sit on that rocking chair forever. There is a nice cafe at the end of the street for coffee and light eats. It is across the street from the beach where there are many restaurants and cafes to sit and eat. You won't go wrong at this condo.

Beside of the place being hard to find or may be I should say the driver don't know where the exact place is, we had a good over all stay at Thomas's condo. We wanted to have a relaxing place close to the beach and we got it. It's also a plus when the owner also owns a Tour Company who can help you pick a place to go while you're in the area. The home itself is in good condition and it has all the basic needs. Location is great as it is just a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed the most. Thanks Thomas for sharing your unit to us.

This shared condo. offered a spacious bedroom with on suite facilities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the mosquito net easily arranged each night - advisable if you wish to avoid the occasional visitation!
Thomas and Jenny are both pleasant and helpful, Thomas providing all the info. required for local restaurants, bus services, artesian village etc.
It is clearly stated that it is a shared condo. and therefore one should be aware that used cooking utensils and dishes etc. may well be left overnight, or be present on your arrival.
Overall it is well situated and reasonably comfortable but like many bachelor pads could be improved with a little tlc applied to taps, shower heads, furniture drawers - small items but worth the small effort required.Response from Thomas Murray, Rental Manager - 03/13/2013

I stayed on the first floor and really enjoyed my time there. The house is beautiful and in a very good location, I would say less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The kitchen has everything that you would need to cook while there. The bathroom is really big and has a nice closet. The bedroom was a nice size as well with a nice balcony. The house gets a great breeze throughout the day. The living room has a nice big modern TV with lots of movies and cable. The pool is very nice too and well taken care of, the condo neighbors were very friendly and I enjoyed chit-chatting with everyone there. The security guards were also very friendly and helpful. My recommendation would be to stop at one of the larger grocery stores before you arrive, it is just a 40 peso (1$) bus ride but if you have a lot of bags you are going to need to take a taxi and that is going to run you between 15-20 us. There are some corner stores and a fruit stand within walking distance, a pharmacy, and lots of restaurants. I would also recommend a massage outside at the Carabela hotel, you walk down the sandy road to get to the beach and make a left through the arch and they are the ladies in white uniforms, only $30 us and they do a fantastic job. Tj, the owner, was great to work with, very nice, helpful, and professional. He has a great calm dog named Blondie who is very well behaved. Tj helped a group of us go to a National Park, los Haitises, he has great ideas about unique tourism options in the DR but he isn't pushy at all about selling you trips and I found his prices to be fair and the service is great. I would love to go back again, I would highly recommend staying there it really is a great value. Thanks TJ!

I was a little concern when I knew this place was a share, but that didn't stop me from booking this place for me and my girlfriend. I was very glad I had someone like TJ who is not only a great person, but also his lovely dog. The place is amazing, very calm and has awesome views. The location is also a big plus since you have easy access to he beach and restaurants. Thanks TJ for making this vacation memorable for us!!

Staying here was perfect for me and my friends. We shared the apartment with Thomas and his girlfriend, but had a very private experience as the kitchen and living room are downstairs, as well as a set of balconies, and our bathroom being in the bedroom - it is true to its description. The beach is super close and beautiful. We are glad we opted to stay at the apartment versus at a resort as we had the option to cook, a sense of home, and a more tailored experience overall. The apartment itself is very clean, spacious, and comfortable. There is a pool right outside, perfect for nighttime dips. Thomas and his girlfriend are very sweet and easy going. And, Thomas was the perfect person to stay with, being one of the guys behind Caribbean Dream (a great local tour company), for any suggestions on excursions and inside scoop on what else to do during your stay.

This was our second trip back to Punta Cana and first time at a condo. We didn't know what to expect but we had such a fabulous stay that we stayed longer. The condo was clean and exactly as the pictures shown. It was conveniently located near stores, beach, and restaurants. We went during off season so there were barely any people at the resort. The condo itself was big - much better than a 1 room in an all inclusive. The upstairs provided complete privacy and seperate living space. Only two call-outs: bring your own lounge chairs to pool. There were only 2 there. Also, we thought more places would have accepted credit cards but that was not the case - so bring extra cash. American dollars were accepted everywhere.
Michael was awesome. Picked us up from airport, did a grocery stop to get us started and showed us around the area. Thank you Michael, we'll be back I'm sure!

Just returned from a 2 week stay in the Penthouse, and I have to say it is the best vacation ever for my wife and I. We have done multiple all-inclusive stays, and our experience over the past 2 weeks outweighs them all.
Penthouse is literally 5 minute walk from everything, so no need for a car. 24 hour security on property, never feels unsafe.
Pool is huge. Rocking chairs on 1st floor balcony with ocean breeze was our favorite part.
No need for aC with windows open.
Penthouse itself is massive, way more room than 1 couple would need, but it was special to have it all to ourselves. Wifi in the penthouse too!
Large TV, cable, tons of Dvd's, and everything you need in the kitchen.
Owners are always in constant contact and go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable experience.

long; great location as you don't lose the sun. Close to

We really enjoyed our stay as accommodations were excellent with beautiful tiles throughout the condo.
The beach was beautiful,safe and very close. The balcony off the bedroom was great place to sit, eat and enjoy the ocean breeze. A fully equipped kitchen made meal preparation easy and a fruit stand plus small grocery store were close by. Security is excellent and the location is very quiet as several condominiums block the street noise. The owner is very knowledgeable of the area and is most helpful. He will take you on a short tour of the village to familiarize you with your surroundings. The owner will also arrange transportation to and from the airport.
We liked it so much we extended our stay.

The words I write will hardly do justice to the amazing experiences we had while staying in Punta Cana. All of it was made better by having such an amazing condo to stay in. The multiple decks (sunbathing on the top deck in essentially complete privacy), the fresh breezes to cool off the condo, the pool, the grounds (impeccable), everything was fantastic. We were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to do and we hardly broke a sweat because of our proximity to the beach and nearby restaurants.
As for Ken and Thomas they were the most gracious hosts. Ken checked us in and walked us to the local supermarket and back for some items we needed. Thomas was such a tremendous help to us he was always willing to help us with whatever we asked. The location of the place is great. right in the middle of Bavarro by some restaurants and an easy walk to the beach. So nice. quiet and safe.
The house was awesome especially for the money, you can't beat it. Very up to date. The pictures are what you really get.
I would recommend this to everyone. Thomas (the owner) was unable to be there in person when we arrived but his business partner Ken was a great host. He was very nice and took his time to show us around where the market and restaurant were. He was easily available if we had any questions so it was like having a personal tour guide. big plus.
The only recommendation I would give is that it would have been nice to arrive at the apartment in a cleaner condition. Small things like dirty dishes and untidy living room - if cleaned - would have made the place 10/10.

We had a most wonderful vacation in Punta Cana - a little bit of heaven on earth. The condo accomodations were exactly as listed and described - all was in order, clean and ready to receive guests even with little to no advance notice. We took full advantage of the accomodations, including the kitchen where we cooked and bbq'd at every opportunity. We stayed 6 nights and even though we only rented the room on the 1st floor, and not the entire condo, we barely noticed that anyone else was around. We'll be back soon.

I was staying in this beautiful, modern two storey penthouse for a couple of days and I absolutely loved it. Exactly as on the pictures! It's within walking distance to the sea, but you can also relax beside the pool, which is huge, clean, and quiet! There are some shops nearby. The DVD collection is superb :) It's great for couples/friends on a lower budget or for those who don't wanna stay in a resort. Highly recommended!
