This was a beautiful condo in a wonderful quiet location. A great perk is the discount golf at Punta Espada Golf. We saved over $200.00 on that. It was the main reason for choosing this property. The only complaint we had was that the shuttle service to restaurants, beaches, etc. took way too long. Be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes. It could use a few more restaurant choices too. Would stay here again. We would definitely get a few groceries next time and prepare some of our own meals.

Had a great time at the Fishing Lodge! The description provided on Vrbo.com was completely accurate and the owner was very helpful in booking the trip and checked in with us afterward to make sure everything was good. The resort is still partially under construction but is to be finished by November of this year. The resort is basically done they are just adding finishing touches. ( I was told in advance about the construction) As it was their off season the resort was not full of people. As it is under construction we had the opportunity to go and use the amenities at the Santuary (another resort just a few minutes away) We honestly had the best of both worlds... Mingle with people at the Santuary and enjoy ourselves at the Fishing Lodge. The view from our room was incredible!! We had a complete view from the Cap Cana Marina to the Ocean! Gorgeous! The room was very modern and completely brand new! The pictures are exactly what the room looks like. It was very comfortable and we loved the fact that it had a kitchen! We did eat at the Bistro Restaurant on Property for both dinner and breakfast and the food was great! The staff at the resort is more than accommodating. Everyone was extremely nice and we told them the adventures we wanted to do what time and it was all taken care of. (Zip Lines, Horseback Riding, Fresh Water Springs, Transportation). I can't say enough about the staff they really were wonderful. Ask them for other things to do as well after all they are locals... they know what to do! I would recommend getting a rental car (any where from $40-$60/day) because the taxi's are quite expensive and you will spend that in one trip. Also outside of Cap Cana resort area (gated with a few resorts) the grocery store and other local restaurants are a matter of 5 minutes away. Nice to venture out.

I could not have selected a better place. In my case I was looking for a quiet, tranquil, comfortable place to do some writing, and that's exactly what I found. The room was immaculate, just like the photos, the pool was steps away from the room. There's a kitchenette, stocked with everything you might need, comfortable bed, cable TV, wireless internet. The staff was super helpful and friendly.
The food at the restaurant is also top notch, but it's not cheap. Beaches outstanding!
Finally, Richard arranged for transportation to and from the airport, and checked in with me several times during my stay to see if I needed anything.
I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for a great getaway!!!
