Arenas de Bavaro Residence is located between El Cortecito Beach and Los Corales, in the heart of Bavaro. This area is considered to be the downtown of Bavaro-Punta Cana with diverse restaurants, bars, pharmacies, supermarkets, shopping centers, gift shops and banks all located within a 5-7 minute walking distance from the apartment. The beautiful white sandy beach of Bavaro is only an 8 minute walk away. This area attracts visitors and now-residents from Spain, Italy, South America, United States, France and Canada.

Nice apartment, Nice condo, a bit far from beach if you have kid
Rented for 2 weeks just around Christmas. The apartment was clean and everything was as expected. We asked for a blender and they immediately went to buy a brand new one for us. Excellent service. The terrace is fantastic for barbecues and to have dinner at night but be prepared to some mosquito bites :)
We had 2 kids (3 and 4 y.o) and they had a lot of fun on the beach or in the pool. The only negative experience has probably nothing to do with the apartment but with the location. The beach is only 5 minutes away from the apartment but if you have young kids, those 5 minutes became 15 or 20. Most of the beach around the condo is owned by hotels and accessible only to the hotel guests. There are only 1 or 2 very small pieces of beach that are owned by restaurants and they will allow you access for free. However, those places were crowded so sometime was difficult to find chairs. I liked the apartment but Punta Cana tourism is very much oriented toward all inclusive beach hotels so you will not find many grocery stores or shops around the town. Be prepared to rent a car.

Dear Federico, thank you for your nice review and I am happy to see that you have enjoyed your stay and that you like the apartment. It is true that if you have small children and you have to walk the 5 minutes to the beach it can become a long walk and having a car would be a plus. You can actually use the beach in front of Beach Residency, the Tiki bar has lots of chairs and the beach in front of Playa Turquesa is very large. There is a supermarket that has everything at Plaza El Dorado at a 6 minute walk from the condo as well as a bakery and pharmacy and the fruit and vegetable stand is at a 4 minute walk and the truck comes a few times a week to the condo with fresh produce. A large supermarket will open at the end of March at a 5 minute drive from the condo, you can take public transportation for $1 and we already have Super Pola, at a 10 minute drive.
