We came for a rest and relaxation and enjoyed both to the fullest.
The cottage is gorgeous and clean!
Our hosts were superb, all the little details really make a difference.
The beach was everything we were hoping for and more.

We are regular visitors to Vancouver Island and have stayed in many different places. Sandy and andy's cottage has to rate amoungst the best, beautiful location on the beach but quiet and tuceked away. The cottage is well furnished and comfortable, excellent cooking facilities.
We would definately stay again and recommend to anyone visiting the Island.
The main bed was a little firm for my arthritic hips but otherwise excellent. -

We stayed at Eagle's aerie in august 2012. From the moment we booked Sandy (the owner) contacted us. She provided excellent information on the area, and all the help we needed getting to the cottage.
When we arrived we were welcomed as though part of the family. The cottage was excellent, lovingly decorated, well equipped, just like being home from home.
During our stay nothing was too much bother for them. Again providing us information on good places to go and any extra support we needed.
What we especially liked was perfect balance of being helpful but allowing us our own space.
If we were to visit Vancouver Island again I would definately go back to Eagle's aerie, and would recommend this little gem to anyone!

Eagle's aerie couldn't have been a more beautiful place. We were very blessed to travel all the way from North Carolina and get to stay in such a breathtaking environment during our stay. The cottage was perfect and clean. Being right on the beach was amazing. The view was gorgeous. Thank you andy and Sandy for allowing us to have such a memorable vacation of Qualicum Beach that we'll talk about forever.

We returned to Eagle's aerie for a second time. The cottage is very well equipped, the perfect location right on the beach. Hosts Sandy and andy are so warm and welcoming and all the extra thoughtful treats provided were much appreciated. We hope to be back soon.

From the moment we stepped inside the beautifully appointed, self-contained cottage we knew we had made the right choice. Sandy gave us a tour of the cottage, yard, beach etc. The beach is literally steps from the front door. The bald eagles soar overhead and wake you in the morning with their calls.
The cottage had everything we needed and Sandy and andy were gracious enough to have coffee, tea, creamer, and bottled water waiting for us when we arrived. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, loads of linens and even a washer and dryer! (Yipes I was in heaven) There's a fire pit in the back yard and lots of drift wood on the beach if a bonfire is more your style. There's a patio in front of the cottage for enjoying your morning coffee or you're free to use the large patio overlooking the beach in front of the Millar's home.
We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a peaceful retreat that is close enough to everything if you need entertainment and good eats.
We had a fabulous stay - we should have stayed longer...maybe next time. :)

We stayed at Eagles aerie for 8 days in may as part of a 9 week holiday as we must say that this was one of our most enjoyable stays we had. Sandy & Andy are most gracious hosts that are there for anything you might need or want to know but do not intrude on your privacy. The cottage is lovely and bright and there is everything you need and is like brand new. The location right on the beach is perfect with views that are absolutely beautiful and magic when you see a bald eagle up close. This is the place to stay.

I had the pleasure of staying with Sandy and andy for a weekend in October. The location is lovely, right on the beach with stunning views of the sound and the mainland mountains, the suite is spacious and homey, and Sandy is an absolute delight and fount of information on things to see and do. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to spending more time at Eagle's aerie in the future.

This a very nice, quiet location, a few steps away from the beach, with very pleasant hosts. All the amenities for cooking, laundry, or relaxing are available in a new, very clean, stylish setting. During our five day stay, the location was perfect for heading out to explore various parts of the island and just "kicking back" and enjoying the immediate location. Of the 12 terrific days we spent on the island, the 5 spent at this location ranked at the top. The owners added significantly to the pleasantness of our stay and were very helpful when we sought additional information before making a reservation.

The cottage at Eagles' Aerie was fully equipped and very comfortable. We loved being right on the beach, the area is so picturesque and it makes for a very relaxing break.

We stayed at this lovely cottage with our 2 adult children. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and also kept their privacy. We needed some additional items such as a cart table for playing games and they provided these right away.
The cottage is perfect for 2 people but could get crowded with 4 especially when you have to stay indoors due to the weather. During our stay the weather was beautiful. There is a great outdoor grill and the beach and views are magnificent!!! Thanks so much Sandy and andy for your hospitality. -

Andy and Sandy are terrific...they truly welcome you into their wonderful home sharing their patio and have thought of everything you could possibly need - beach blankets/chairs, BBQ, private patio for meals al fresco, etc. Definitely a better alternative to staying in a condo. Only thing that could be better would be a longer stay!

Every aspect of our stay at Eagle's aerie was perfect...the cottage, the water, the weather, the eagles flying on high over our breakfast table, and the hosts' friendliness and concern for our needs. Qualicum is a gorgeous little seaside town and this little piece of heaven was a wonderful discovery for our family. Sandy made sure of anything we needed or wanted, or suggestions for activities (if we could leave the water play).
Great memories for the grandchildren and myself. We hope to return another year.

This location was perfect. Although there was only two of us, there was plenty of room for a family of 4. The private cottage offered everything we needed, including a kitchen and separate bedroom, and even an outdoor patio space with BBQ.
The owners are friendly and make every effort to ensure that you enjoy your stay. I felt so relaxed by the end of my stay that didn't want to leave. I was out on the beach everyday!!! I have a great sand dollar collection. -

Everything about our stay at Eagle's aerie was perfect. The Millars were welcoming and gracious hosts who made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The cabin was private, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed during our stay, including laundry which was very convenient after a long day at the beach!
In addition to having the beach at the doorstep, there is a private patio which we had breakfast on each morning of our stay.
I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in the charming town of Qualicum Beach. We will definitely be back next summer! -

We stayed here with two small children in the summertime and really enjoyed it. The cottage is self-contained with its own good kitchen, washroom with shower, bedroom, and living room, with the added bonus of a secluded outside patio boasting a BBQ, making for great al fresco dining. The home is right on the oceanside and with a heated outdoor shower to rinse off at, beach visits are as easy as pie. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

This is the perfect place: it isn't often one can stay in a lovely new cottage and step onto a sandy beach where you can walk forever. The location is blissful, quiet, peaceful, wonderful scents of sea air, flowers, the sounds of birds. A great place where I could truly relax, read a book, gaze at the sky, count eagles, watch boats, enjoy local shops + restaurants, explore the warm tide pools. I will come back to swim in the warm, safe water. A great stay, thank you!

Wonderful, cozy cottage with all the amenities. Everything is ready for your trouble free stay. The hosts are friendly and very helpful, providing all kinds of suggestions for nearby activities and places to eat out, although the cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, stove, and anything else you might need! I would love to return for another visit when I could stay longer and soak up some sunshine on the beautiful, sandy beach!

The Millars' are fabulous hosts doing all they can to make you feel comfortable. From the homebaking and snacks to the comfy bed. The view is stunning and the cottage is a peaceful,quiet environment.The Qualicum area has so much to offer an interesting winery, walks, shops, golf,spas and more.
