This is an exceptionally large, artistically furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath Loft (2800sf!) with 20 foot ceilings, can sleep up to six persons maximum.

One very large master bedroom with walk in closets and queen bed, second bedroom is at opposite end of Loft, is small with queen bed. Full kitchen (stove but no oven) with microwave.

Come enjoy this unique, very fun and funky space, tastefully decorated by an artist. Very private - you have your own entrance directly from the street. Cable, internet, huge flat screen TV, washer/dryer, a/c and plenty of room to roam. Owner lives in building, can help with any issues you have or leave... you be, your choice.

The entire space is very clean with thoughtful, comfortable and creative decor, however this was once a commercial loft space, it is not new, so there are flaws and foibles. We think this adds to the charm, but if you are looking for pristine, this may not be for you. If you are looking for space, character and a unique NYC experience in a fabulous location so convenient to Manhattan, you will be happy.

Long Island City is the new and very popular upscale neighborhood outside of Manhattan in Queens. Why you ask? Because it is SO easy to get to Manhattan, just 5 minutes by train, and this neighborhood has everything you need if you decide to stay put, plus one of the most beautiful views of NYC from the local park.

This building is one of the older ones on a charming townhouse street, surrounded by the luxury high rises that now make up the 'hood. This is one block from Gantry State Park - which is a new, modern waterfront park with the most spectacular views of Manhattan anywhere! Especially at night...and this is a very safe neighborhood, so feel free to stroll the piers and enjoy the views.

There are lots of great restaurants, cafes and bars here in Long Island City, a large gourmet grocer 4 blocks away, and a gorgeous waterfront pier and park one block away. Nice yoga studio and 2 spinning studios nearby. Numerous famous art museums and studios. Plenty to do here.

However, Manhattan is why people come here, and this loft is VERY conveniently located to get to Manhattan. Is one block from the 7 train, one stop (5 minutes exactly) to Grand Central. 7 minutes to Times Square. This neighborhood is more convenient to get around Manhattan than many Manhattan neighborhoods, where the walk to the subway can be substantial. The 7 train is a frequent, reliable train, voted the best in Manhattan. Long Island City is the new, upscale neighborhood just steps from Manhattan that has been written up everywhere and is commanding huge rents and prices for the luxury and convenience it offers. It is faster and easier to get around Manhattan from LIC (due to the very convenient and reliable 7 train) than many neighborhoods in Manhattan! No long walk to the subway, it's 1 block. No long wait for the train, the 7 was voted the best in the city. No long train ride, just 5 minutes (one stop) to Grand Central, where all the trains lines meet to take you wherever else you'd like to go in Manhattan, or just 7 minutes to Times Square!

This is an old industrial neighborhood that has been converted to residential due to the close proximity to the city, and for the absolutely gorgeous view from it's waterfront! The new and public Gantry Waterfront Park has 4 long piers out over the Hudson, lots of seating, walkways, playgrounds and a sports field, all with KILLER views of Manhattan. This park is one block from the apartment.

Plenty of restaurants (at least 20) within walking distance. Gourmet grocer and pharmacy is a few blocks away, plenty of coffee shops, wine bars, pubs and even a gourmet beer garden nearby. There are also two museums and a bike rental shop. However, Manhattan is so easy to get to, really it's 12 minutes door to door, that you could come and go all day with no problem.

  Very comfortable and convenient apartment one-subway stop from Grand Central Station. It had everything you needed, including a huge TV, and there were very good bars, shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend it.
