Welcome to your home away from home. This large one bedroom apartment/flat is equipped with everything you would need during your travel to New York City.
Located along the '7' train, this apartment is one block away from the train entrance. Once on the train, you are 10-15 mins into midtown Manhattan (Grand Central/Time Square). We are also a 10 minute drive (30 mins bus/train ride) from Laquardia airport.

Sunnyside is the unrecognized star of western Queens. So close to Manhattan and the Empire State Building that you can pinch it, Sunnyside is 15 minutes from Midtown by the #7 subway. It rides high above multi-lane Queens Boulevard, which splits the neighborhood in half. Main streets are: roaring Queens Boulevard, bustling shopping on Greenpoint Avenue, and quieter commercial strips on 43rd and Skillman Avenues.
Queens Boulevard, Greenpoint Avenue, and Skillman Avenue are the streets for eats with lots of local ethnic faves.
Homey Korean BBQ joint Shin Chon Kalbi (43-01 Queens Blvd, 718-706-9205) serves a wicked tasty jaeyuk (pork and veggie stir-fry) for lunch with banchan.
Mama's Empanadas (42-18 Greenpoint Ave) is yummy for meat-stuffed empanadas, and an apple pie empanada for dessert.

This was a first time my family planned to stay in a vacation rental place far from our town. My wife is very picky about cleanness of places we stay, mostly hotels. I was very skeptical about rental vacation until we find this place by luck. I was almost scammed by couple of people pretending they have rental for a very low price, which ends up to be nothing but scams (be very careful).Thanks Sunnyside oasis for providing my family a warm welcome and putting us into your wonderful place. Ms. Okhela was responding promptly to my Email letters and she more than willing to assist us and was so sweet as to give us tips on places to visit eat and ways to get around in New York. Sorry took me so long to post my review. We stayed for 6 nights in March 2013 and the place was great, very clean even had computer with wireless Wi-Fi. We mainly used the subway to travel around the city the place is very close to the subway always felt safe. Highly recommend this place, and will stay again.

Sorry it took me so long to post my review we stayed for 2 nights December 16th and 17th it was great very clean even had computer with wireless wifi. We mainly used the subway to travel around the city the place is very close to the subway always felt safe.

This place is amazing clean tidy and everything you will ever need from a home away from home and Okhela was great to deal with.
