There is a 3% credit card surcharge if paying by credit card and all bank transfer fees are to be paid by the payer, international trasnfers incur a NZ "landing fee" of NZ $25.
Rates are based on occupancy of 1-3 guests. Max 6 guests (additional guests over 3 at $40 per guest per night – children under 3 free)
There is a 2 night minimum for off peak periods and a 5-7 night minimum for peak periods.
50% Deposit is required to secure a villa, balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

initially we had some problems with the heater not working when we arrived, But that was fixed the next day.
The surround sound system a bit confusing and irritating.
The apartment was comfortable, Roomy and had nice furniture including lovely big comfy beds. The view from our apartment of the lake was outstanding. We were very close to all the shops and restaurants . All in all, We would come back to the same apartment very happily.

We rented out two of the apartments which were excellently located and well furnished with everything that we needed and more. New furnishings and tastefully decorated these apartments are ideal for anyone who wants to relax in this fantastic location whether you prefer to dine in or enjoy the numerous restaurants in the town.
The only improvement that i could suggest is with the booking system that is used, currently to book the accommodation you must pay by credit card to confirm your reservation , which as with most places in nz occurs a 3% credit card transaction fee.Response from Staysouth.com Reservations - 03/05/2013

This accommodation was excellent, clean, tidy, beautifully presented. A nice level,easy stroll into the town centre, with fantastic restaurants and plenty of shops to browse around. This property is great for those not so stable on their feet. I will totally recommend this property to my friends and be happy to come back and stay in the future, hopefully for longer next time. Booking was easy, with very clear instructions given prior to arrival and information at the property was also available.
There was something for everyone in Queenstown, and of all ages, with beautiful scenery as far as the eye could see. I cant wait to come back and will definitely be checking the same accommodation availability next time !Response from Staysouth.com Reservations - 01/28/2013

These were fabulous luxury apartments. The instructions we received for check-in were very clear and easy to follow, and no-fuss. The apartment was clean, well-maintained and good quality furniture and fittings. The location is excellent - right on the lake at Queenstown and only 5 minute walk to the heart of Queenstown. Great if you want to dine out and not drive home. Loved the fireplace! We didn't want to leave and would definitely book there again!

We were travelling with a 10 month old, so location of this townhouse was perfect, right on the esplanade and a short level stroll into town. The little play park across the road was a nice bonus! Lovely layout and furnishings; it felt very spacious for just the 3 of us. Sleeps up to 6 and I'd guess would be comfortable for that many. Loved the underfloor heating and heated towel rails in bathrooms. Found the wifi very slow, and also some issues with the cleanliness, it was reasonably clean but not perfect. They supplied portacot, high chair and safety gate for extra fee, which was good. The bath with a lake view is wonderful!

We decided to take our two daughters and their partners for a ski
week in Queenstown and chose the Esplanade apartments and a good
choice it was
We found that from the ease of the initial booking, the easy to follow
instructions that were emailed to the quality of the accommodation
this is one that will not disappoint, Free Internet is available
but not that easy to access without dropping out, it is worth obtaining better instructions to prevent this happening but other than that this could not have

The wifi system has recently been upgraded and upon receiving this review the Esplanade management undertook an immediate onsite test as we understand the importance of robust connecitivity.
In this instance it turns out that the user was connecting to the wifi in the next door unit resulting in inferior connecitivity. We have since revised our wifi literature to make things clearer and aplogise for any inconvenience caused.

Stayed at the Esplanade Queenstown for 4 nights and enjoyed it throughly. The apartment was well presented, clean and comfortable. Plenty of crockery and good glassware, linen of good quality.

The villa was beautiful, clean and very warm. The heating had been turned on prior to our arrival which made it very cosy from the minute we arrived. Everything is very clean and the facilities are great. All kitchen items included as well as a washing machine and dryer. The villa is just a few minutes walk to the center of town which made it very central to everything. The views are divine from the villa and it was very hard to leave! The booking process was very smooth and we had no problems. We are already planning our next stay there. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at The Esplanade in 2011 (the first being in May)and we plan to return in 2012.The villas are still as good as they look in the photos. Really good service from the reservation staff who accommodated our request for a particular villa. Only negative was that our stay was not long enough. The Esplanade is not for the budget minded however you get what you pay for. Wonderful location right on the lake. We cannot speak highly enough about this property.

We stayed at the Esplanade apartments in Queenstown with our niece who had just graduated from Uni and her partner. The apartments are located minutes away from the town centre, so location is perfect. The view from the apartment is breathtaking and very relaxing - the lake is just across the road. The view from the master bedroom upstairs is spectacular. The apartments were really luxuriously fitted out and were very roomy. The kitchen had all the equipment you could ever wish for during a four night stay. We stay in alot of places around New Zealand and the world and this apartment would be up there with the best of them - I cannot think of one negative thing that I can mention. Something that was really simply but made a huge difference was the keypad on the front and back door which meant no one needed carry around keys and there was no checking in process because we had done it prior to arriving and had been emailed the keypad entry code. Would definitely stay there again.

We thought this appartment was in an excellent location. Close to town centre and parkland. The ammenities were very clean and of a high standard. We enjoyed our stay. Our only suggestions for improving the service would be to provide internal door mats and better quality fry pans.

Excellent villa in a great location. Easy to access and warm and comfortable. The only aspect I would crticise would be the internet, which I found a little complex and very slow. (also the toilet seat in the master ensuite is very hard Ha! Ha!). Would definitely stay again.

I was just looking once again at your website thinking how it is probably the first accommodation that I have looked at on the internet and then stayed at and thought how true to the website the pictures of the accommodation were. We thought the apartment was absolutely stunning - we had a golden girls weekend away (six of us) and we truly loved the apartment. It was spotlessly clean, had a beautiful ambience about it, loved the floor heating in the kitchen and bathrooms and lacked absolutely nothing required when short staying at an apartment.
We had an absolute ball in Queenstown and spent two nights at home in front of the lovely gas log fire with our lovely NZ wines and cheeses playing games and having a good old laugh.
Once again I would not hesitate to return to your apartments and would not hesitate to recommend them to any of our friends that intend on taking a holiday to Queenstown. It is a truly magnificent spot for not only skiers but non-skiers.
The location is fantastic - a short walk to town - which we all needed after our wining and dining holiday.
