The Manakin House is one of the highest villas in our private, gated community.
This large contemporary tropical villa has 8 bedrooms with 9 1/2 baths distributed throughout four terraced levels. The tropical design influences are evident throughout; the home is decorated with warm, exotic wood furniture, rich fabrics and ethnic accessories producing a tropical and luxurious effect.
With 7 bedrooms Tanager can accommodate large groups for family reunions, weddings, or corporate retreats. This villa can also be rented for as small as a 3 bedroom home for a discounted rate.

At Manuel Antonio Estates we can offer you affordable accommodations in private luxury villas ranging from 3-8 bedrooms, so no matter how large your group, we can accommodate you! Our larger villas have separate suites with private entrances which is perfect for extended family. You can all join in the common areas and then retreat to your own suites when seeking privacy. Our villas are located in a private gated community with grounds covered by luscious rainforests and daily visits from monkeys and other wildlife. We have hiking trails on site as well as a Spa which offers all sorts of relaxing treatments. We even have yoga and pilates classes on site. Manuel Antonio Estates is walking distance from the town of Quepos where there are restaurants, shops, grocery stores, banks etc. The beaches are a short 7 minute drive through the rainforest and taxis are easily and readily available so you do not need to rent a car. Although if you prefer to have one, there are plenty of car rental agencies in town.

Me and my five friends decided to rent out this accommodation for a total of one week. Well, what can I say. The villa is absolutely fabulous and the surroundings are mesmerizing. We enjoyed our week and to be honest, it's probably the closest I will ever come to living to dream lifestyle. The price is rather steep, but it's well worth it. If anything, it gives you the opportunity to live as a superstar for a while, before returning back to the norm.

My husband and I travelled to Costa Rica with our son, his wife and our 10 month old grandson. We had rented the Tanager house after a lot of research and the house was a great find. It is was easy to do the rental and arrangements to pick us up at the airport were made. Baby seat and all. The setting was amazing, unbelievable sea views and jungle surrounding us. Air conditioned bedrooms made life very comfortable. The pool just out of the dining room/living room area was a great feature, we were in it every day. We enjoyed the wildlife on our balcony on a daily basis, from our resident Iguana, Titi and white faced monkeys, exotic birds, butterflies and frog were part of the excitement. We did not have to go far to enjoy the day. The large patio was our favourite area to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery.
We used the concierge services to organize activities such as ziplining, golf, Manuel antonio Park, etc.
The daily maid service made things really nice and we enjoyed the visit of our cleaning staff. Always pleasant and efficient.
We stayed 2 weeks and we highly recommend this house. Good idea to rent a car, it gives you a lot of flexibility and we also used taxi services if we needed to and that was easy also.
Our ride back to the airport was fun, our driver actually stopped so we could enjoy a large number of macaws. Wonderful.

My groups stay at the Tanager Villa during our 10 day exploration of Costa Rica was one of the highlights of our trip!! The house was far beyond what we expected, and we enjoyed every part of our 3 night stay there!! From the friendly staff to the beautiful views...we would definately recommend Manuel antonio Estates to anybody traveling to Costa Rica!! Thank you for a truly memorable experience!! :) Pura Vida!

My fiancé and I rented three houses in a row (jacana, manakin, and tanager) for us and our wedding guests for a week's stay. Everyone was floored by the beauty of the houses, the views, the numerous daily monkey visitors and accessibility to town. This was our second stay with Manuel antonio estates mostly because our first experience was so wonderful! Needless to say, our second was even better! The staff is courteous, jovial and friendly, eager to help and exceptionally resourceful. The housekeeper clean the houses daily, the reception bends over backwards to help organize activities and the spa ammenities are unparalleled with highly skilled masseuses and yoga/pilots classes offered nearly daily.
I would live there year 'round if I could!!!
