In the heart of the Colonial City, this beautifully 300 year old renovated home was completed in 2004 and while the builders preserved or restored the old charm, they were careful to add all the contemporary comforts. The apartment has open spaces, comfortable furniture and it is fully equipped with what one needs to feel at home. The Porton de Benalcazar is three blocks from the Presidential Palace, the suite is on the corner of Manabi and Benalcazar, the entrance is on Manabi St.
This is a quieter neighborhood but it is within walking distance from all the Colonial City attractions and magnificent churches, restaurants, etc. We have parking available, but taxis (modic priced) circulate in front of the condo and the troley is three blocks away.

Walk to all of historic district from here. Safe secure spot. Well stocked. Twin beds are quite firm. Take a flashlight if you're arriving late to see the little key-box combination to get at the keys, as the night watchman doesn't have the keys, the combo or a flashlight.

I stayed for a week in this apartment in September 2010 while traveling to Quito on business. The apartment was impeccably clean, very nicely furnished and extremely comfortable.
The apartment is located in a nice section of the city, with lots of activity during the day but very quiet at night. That made for excellent people watching from the balcony in the morning but easy sleeping in the evening. I was able to get taxis within minutes just steps from the apartment which makes the location very convenient to anywhere in the city.
I was delighted to find that Ken & Maria provided many comforts of home such as a hairdryer, extra pillows and blankets, a coffee maker, night lights, etc.
I will absolutely stay here for future visits to the city and would recommend it to a friend without reservation.

We recently spent a week at the ideally located apartment in Colonial Quito. Located only a few blocks for La Plaza Grande, there are many sights nearby along with many restaurants. The nice kitchen is up to date and includes a dishwasher and washing machine. There is a separate living area with gas fireplace for cooler evenings. A separate bedroom with bath is adjacent. Wifi access available. Maria is a wonderful and attentive hostess. We enjoyed a great tour with her husband Ken to antisana and the market at Sangolqui. We highly recommend this apt.

The condo was artistically decorated, very clean, comfortable and a great location in Colonial Quito.
Our hostess Maria and Host Ken were more than we could have asked for...from helping us with food, things to do and even checking on how we were doing...wonderful people and vacation rental! We would highly recommend their condo to anyone!
