The apartment is very confortable, warm, clean and safe. It is very well situated, with a large food store nearby ; it is close to Mariscal and many restaurants, with easy access to colonial Quito and airport. Perfect place for two people, much better than staying in an hotel.

We were travellers from australia and consider ourselves very lucky to have come across this beautiful apartment. It had a distinct feeling of being at home, very spacious and comfortable, quality furnishing, well situated in the new part of Quito. It is only a short taxi ride into the historic centre and walking distance to supermarkets and features of the new city. However, a rather unique feature was to have been hosted by the owner anna Maria, a charming lady who was very helpful in providing information about local places etc. We loved our stay and wished we had been able to stay much longer.

Safety: this was one of my prime concerns given my laptop, ipad etc, however i needed not have worried as the apartment block is v secure with access to the building via a electromagnetic key fob with the further measure of inhabitants only being allowed access to their floor only (there are only 2 apartments per floor). There is also a 24 hr guard who oversees any entry and exit.
Location: perfectly set being 5 mins from the centre of La Mariscal allowing peace & quiet yet a short walk to get to the best bars & restaurants in Quito. There is a also a colossal supermarket 'Super Maxi' about 2 to 3 mins. The Swissotel is 100m away & has an impressive health centre- I got them to agree $10 (plus tax) a visit. Further, if like me you want to stay in Quito to learn Spanish then you will find a plethora of options in La Marisical making a nice walk to 'school' in the morning.
The apartment: I was pleasantly surprised by how modern and well planned the apartment actually was. The kitchen / living room is ideal to relax in during the evening (with the amazing views via the 2 floor to ceiling windows) while the balcony gets the afternoon sun til sometime around 5 and so is ideal for sun basking! There is also a roof terrace (15th floor) for all day lounging and impressive views if you so desire. Internet is at a standard speed and allows viewing of videos on line. I would point out that the photos on line do not allow you to feel the plan of the apartment which is a shortcoming as it's actually quite spacious and open.
Overall the apartment has the all the modern cons, is really cosy for relaxing in & would not look out of place if billed as a professional flat in London.
In summary, i would strongly recommend staying at the apartment as left nothing wanting which was a great relief after booking from the other side of the world.

We just returned from a 2 week trip in Quito. We were extremely happy with this rental property. It's very modern, clean, and comfortable. Even comes with extras like a clothes washing machine and amazing views. The property is in a very central and very safe area of the city. Great for excursions within Quito, and also close enough to the airport/buses/ etc, that it is very convenient for various day/weekend trips outside of the city. Ana Maria (the owner) was very helpful and had a lot of information about the city and getting around town. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone traveling to Quito- you will not be disappointed!
