Having rented apartments in Quito before, I knew the location would be an asset. I did not expect it to be so great. We were there, just steps from everything we needed.
The Condo was well appointed and comfortable. The security to the building is good, and we were never concerned about our belongings.
As we return yearly to Quito, we will be looking at this apartment as the most likely location to rent. -

This is a beautiful apartment with a great location! My husband and I, along with my parents, stayed for a week after our Galapagos trip and absolutely loved the comfort the apartment provided. The 24hr security was a nice feature and even with the language barrier (we don't speak Spanish) they were able to communicate well enough that we felt comfortable. Edgar was very friendly and helpful; he called us at the apartment to introduce himself and give us some tips and suggestions for what to see in Quito. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot, the whole apartment was very clean; we really felt like we were living in luxury! The location was also excellent. Being so close to the mall and the large grocery store was quite convenient. It was also a short taxi ride to just about everywhere we needed to go. We even walked to La Mariscal one day; though it was a long walk, it was nice. The park is also beautiful and at the end of the park, near the mall is the first stop of the hop-on hop-off city bus tour which was handy. Overall we were very impressed with the apartment and would highly recommend it. If we ever travel to Quito in the future, we'd be happy to stay here again!

My husband and I and our 3 year old daughter just returned from a 4 night stay in Edgar's fantastic apartment in Quito. We were so impressed with the apartment and how Edgar has made it a very welcoming home away from home for travelers. We found the apartment to be very luxurious and were impressed by the U.S. phone line, flat screen cable TVs, fine linens, on-demand hot water with excellent pressure (the best showers I've had in my 15 years traveling to Ecuador!) and the onsite playground. All of these amenities can be hard to come by in Ecuador. The location is phenomenal, in my favorite part of the city. You are steps away from great restaurants, my favorite Corfu ice cream, Quicentro mall, Parque Carolina and all of the public transportation. It is on a relatively busy street but not a main street and being on the 11th floor made it quieter and private. There are great city and mountain views from the windows. It is very safe as the building is locked with a 24 hour guard and your key only lets you get off on your own level. I highly recommend staying at this apartment whether you are a first time traveler to Ecuador or a seasoned traveler!

el departamento es precioso !!!: amplio, nuevo, vista excelente, mejor ubicaciĂłn. Decorado con buen gusto y con cada detalle tenido en cuenta.
el lavarropas y secarropas dentro del depto fue un plus super cĂłmodo. la cercanĂa a dos importantes shopppings con supermercados y la excelente ubicaciĂłn otro plus más.
los dos plasmas...los chicos felices...
los llamados de edgar teniendonos en cuenta por si necesitabamos algo tambien sumaron..
en resumen: lo disfrutamos mucho y lo recomendamos con los ojos cerrados. no se van a arrepentir!!!

The apartment was luxurious, comfortable, and in the right area. Really only negative thing to say about apartment is pretty minor - the water pressure in the showers sometimes was a mere trickle.
Edgar and his family/ friends that help manage the apartment were all great and helpful too. -

From the moment we arrived at the building we were well received by the security guard. This apartment is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. For us it was 'home away from home'. Excellent location with easy access to Quicentro, grocery, and parks. The Manager and her family were delightful and made us feel very welcomed. The owner also helpful and professional, he even phoned from NY to check and make sure we were comfortable and happy. Our sincere thanks to both owner and Manager for making our stay so comfortable and for that warm Ecuadorian welcome. We would love to stay at this apartment on our next visit. Thank you Edgar.

What a find! The apartment had two bedrooms, 2 baths, and very nice appliances throughout, including a washer and dryer. The bed in the second bedroom is not a sofa bed; it's a queen sized bed - exceeded our expectations! The nicest 3 things about the apartment are its location - we walked to Quicentro and it's just a stone's throw from La Carolina park; its cleanliness - it is spotless and serviced daily; and its lack of constant street noise - despite being in the heart of the business district, we were situated just far enough off the main drag to afford us quiet nights.
Tips:
Walk to Quicentro - just two blocks away, for all your shopping needs - it has a nice game center for the kids too!
Walk to the Sheraton - about a block away and before you get to Quicentro - and go grab their delicious breakfast - it's a tad pricey at $20 per plate, but the kids eat free, so it makes up for it. Their omelet station contains everything and their fried mushrooms are to die for.
Walk to Carolina park and join the early-morning joggers and walkers to walk off the big breakfast at the Sheraton!

I was delightfully pleased with my first experience renting a condo for a brief two week trip in Quito. Upon arrival, the on duty security guard provided the condo keys and instructed us how to use the building access/security key cards. Ms. Marguerite, the property manager, checked in with me the following morning to make sure that we arrived well and answered any questions we had at the moment. Condo amenities includes: one parking space, secured building access, on site building security guard, wood laminate condo floors, free wi-fi access, carpeted bedrooms, 1 master suite with full bathroom and walk-in closet, second bedroom, additional full bathroom and one guest bathroom, clean linens/blankets/pillows, washer/dryer, electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, and combined dining and living area. There was a noticeable difference in the water pressure flow in the second bathroom shower which we notified to Ms. Maguerite. Unfornately, most days we were out of the condo all day and werent available to have a plumber resolve the issue. All in all this is a beautifully decorated condo and the property is well maintained showing little to none wear.

My wife and I stayed in the apartment July 14 to July 30. We arrived in Quito around 11 pm and a short taxi ride (15 minutes)) found us at the apartment. The guard on duty gave us our key and we rode the elevator to our apartment. It was a great apartment!!! The apartment was spotless, and there were plenty of linens and towels. We were not lacking for cooking utensils or dishes. We had an issue with the cable TV and internet service. I notified Marguerite, the property manager, and she went to work on the problem. Edgar even called from New York to see if everything was fixed. It turned out to be a faulty modem so the cable company came out and replaced it. The apartment could not be in a better location. A nice mall, the Qui Centro, and a huge grocery store, Mega Maxi, are an easy walk from the apartment. A nice park is 2 blocks from the apartment. We had a terrific vacation and would definitely stay here again.

This condo apartment that we rented in Quito North definitely contributed to our wonderful vacation in Ecuador. The apartment was everything that the website promised and more. The apartment was very well furnished and equipped including on site security personnel. From the master bedroom there is a gorgeous view of the mountains to the west and it is really spectacular at sunrise on clear mornings. The apartment is within walking distance of grocery stores, good restaurants, and a very large shopping center. It is also within a city block of "La Parque de la Carolina," a "must see" if you visit the area. A short inexpensive cab ride,or the bus will get you to the historic district with it's many very old historic churches and other buildings. We never felt unsafe at any time during our visit. The owner was very helpful during the planning stage of our visit, and flexible with accommodating reasonable requests. The on-site agent who speaks English and Spanish was also very pleasant during check-in and check-out activities. We would certainly recommend this property to friends and relatives.

I had booked this for a week because it looked great. Then we couldn't go. The owner was very nice and refunded my deposit and full payment for the week with zero problem. The refund check came promptly. I can't obviously comment on the place itself but I think this may help if you're wondering what kind of person you're renting from.

This apartment is in the very best section of Quito. The owner is a native, his family has investment interest in the building, and his manager speaks perfect English. The building staff is extremely helpful, to say the least. The flat is well and comfortably furnished with good linens and toweling, full sized washer/dryer, well equipped kitchen, and is convenient to the best restaurants and shopping. Please note that the best section of Quito is also a bit of a distance from the city's main tourist attractions, but taxis are inexpensive - and this section of town is easiest to access the major out of city attractions, which compromise quite a lot of the attraction of Ecuador. We took it for our whole visit, but spent only about half the lease time there - but enjoyed every second in this lovely flat. Also to be noted is this part of town is directly in the flight path of the main airport and that in Quito, outside of the "best" American hotels (which are horrid chains in the same neighbourhood) there is no heat or aircon, as the climate is temperate. However, if one is extremely hot or cold natured, one may prefer an hotel in Quito - the best would be the Sheraton on the same street. The flat is very well furnished, the baths (and indeed the building) is brand new, and although the owner state three occupants, there is plenty of space for a young family of four or two couples if they know one another well. The manager speaks perfect English and is very accommodating, communicative, responsive and helpful. The building is quiet other than the aeroplanes noted. Our only possible slight negative would be the inefficiency of the (then) maid, but this may well have been remedied by now, as the owner and manager were very responsive to our concerns. We shall absolutely stay with Sr Hernandez again on our next trip to Ecuador. We have lived all over the world and travel constantly, almost always letting flats like this one - and this one shines.
