Left on 02/24/2013 for a stay in February 2013
The cottage is beautifully finished and Matthew and Kristen have provided their guests with many extras to ensure that their stay at Cobblestone Cottage is a very welcoming, comfortable experience. The decor and provisions throughout the cottage are outstanding. The location is easy to find, a few km north of Radium. We enjoyed delicious meals at Helna's Stube and Backcountry Jacks in Radium. Radium was not busy in February and the drive from Calgary to Radium and then Radium to Panoramo is spectacular! I would recommend this cottage to anyone staying in the area in the winter. The cottage is located in a mixed use (trailers and cottages) property. There are a lot of trailers on very close lots at the site but since we were there in the winter none of the trailers were occupied. I actually think that there were only 2 other guests on the property while we were there Feb 19-22 so it was very quiet. The cottage is on one of the best lots and backs on to a wooded ravine. We were treated to deer walking through each morning and lots of birds at the feeders.

Edmontona tastefully beautiful getaway
Left on 01/29/2013 for a stay in September 2012
My friends and I had a fabulous time in the cottage last september. The kitchen was stocked with a wide variety of appliances and some spices that came in handy. I loved decor and all of the cozy blankets that were available. It took me some time to find the board games. I forget if it said in the binder where they were but i didn't find them until our last day. Not a problem though because we did bring some of our own. The skylight above the master bed was kinda cool at night, but a little bright in the morning. I have definitely recommended the cobblestone cottage to other friends and already some of the friends that were with me in September have returned with their family with their family

Thank you for your comments! We so appreciate when our guests let us know that their experience met their expectations and if they had any concerns. We will definitely have to make a bigger games section in the binder as yes, the games are tucked away in that ottoman. Thank you also for the referrals, we so appreciate them too as they make up a good portion of our new guests. We look forward to perhaps having you folks back again sometime soon.

Already planning our next trip. Literally had everything and more. Every touch was considered in this cottage. Heated bathroom floors, extra pillows and blankets, blender, waffle iron, espresso machine, Wii, board games, and the list can go on forever! Beautifully decorated, and comfortable! Located in a picturesque landscape which included 6 deer visiting around breakfast on our last morning. Loved our relaxing weekend! Thank you for being a part of it!

A big thank you to Matt and the employees of Cobblestone Creek! Wow, we were taken back by the wonderful home you had provided us for our friends fall getaway. The home was so clean and well stocked, even a cappuccino machine for those in our group missing the local Starbucks. This is our 5th year traveling as a group in the fall and we have stayed at numerous rental homes in the valley, a couple through rental management companies and this home has been by far the cleanest, most well stocked and most like home, even better than some of our homes, ha ha. The wildlife that wondered around in the trees at the back of the cottage was especially nice to see each morning as we enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck. I would recommend Cobblestone Creek and this cottage to anyone who is looking at a place in the Lake Windermere area and wants to deal with a service minded place.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. It was a wonderful quiet place to be in after a day of golfing or hiking. A great selection of games for old and young alike. The cottage was well thought out. We had everything there that we would have at home, including a wonderfully set up kitchen,a great selection of books and movies if you wished. The huge BBQ was amazing for our larger group. It was very cozy, with a lot of different places to curl up with a good book. The wild life was beautiful and unexpected. I was on the back patio, when a deer and her twin fawns where having their breakfast in the wooded area no more than 20 feet away.

Left on 07/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We were looking for an adult family holiday to suit our varied interests. We found a great spot in Cobblestone Cottage. There was something for everyone. The resort is quiet and well located and the house is unbelievably well equipped. We loved our camp fires and s'mores each evening! The town of Radium is only a few minutes down the road and we did enjoy the Hot Springs one night. The day at the beach was good fun too. The wildlife that 'passed by' the house gave us some good photo opportunities. Distance from Calgary makes this a good place to stay if your time is short. Only downside is that guests at the resort cannot use the pool which seemed odd to us. All in all we had a good time, great food - thanks to the chef in the family and the well equipped kitchen - and would return for another stay at Cobblestone Cottage in the future. I recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a family vacation. Thanks Matt and Kristin!

Happy to hear that your family so enjoyed the cottage as they did and the surrounding area. The area, with the cottage backing onto the forest reserve, Radium's restaurants, shops and the beach at Lake Windermere really make for some fun and adventure for each family member. Yes, we wish we could offer the resort pool to our guests but the resort developer sees it differently. Thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you folks back again soon. Keep in mind that if you do refer other guests our way, let them know to tell us that you did refer them, as we do have a referral program in place that will benefit you on future stays.

Great place. Myself and 3 others enjoyed the accommodations for two nights. The home was very nice and clean. I love that all the accessories are there and we just need to show up with our clothes and groceries and the rest is taken care of. The back patio area is so peaceful and everyone enjoyed sitting outside in the comfortable wooden chairs and listening to the birds chirp and tweet. Air conditioning came in very handy. Maybe change the batteries in the carbon monoxide detector as it went off in the middle of the night while everyone sleeping and took us awhile to figure out what the loud beeping was. Overall, very nice and will definitely come back.

The service from Start to finish from Matthew was terrific. finding the cottage was easy, it was such a surprise when we opened the door and found it far beyond our expectations. Everytime we opened a cupboard, or cabinet there was something else we had to check out or try. I will have to admit, we didn't really want to leave the house, we had to try everything out. We have 3 small kids and the kids loved it. There is alot of room, and it could easily handle another 4 people. The house is very well built and designed. the structure is very solid, there is not a squeek in the place. The layout and furniture is also terrifc. very comfotable, and extremly enjoyable, all great quality.
Views are terrific, mountains in both directions, lots of wildlife, peace and quiet. It was an outstanding place to stay from start to finish. Quality in every way.
I would recommend if you are staying in the radium area, this is the place to be. -

We really enjoyed our stay with Cobblestone Creek! The cottage we stayed in was so clean, very comfortable and relaxing, largely due to the great design features and outstanding interior decor!
From the crisp clean cotton bedding, the so very comfy monogramed bath robes to the fluffy towels, abundance of fleece throws and the amazing coffee and assortment of teas you left for us to enjoy.
We were left not expecting another luxurious treatment, then we sat on the back deck the next morning and the sounds of the birds and sights of the wildlife, well this just topped off our little romantic getaway!
My husband even got to enjoy the big screen Tv's, watching the hockey game, while I baked a fresh pecan carmel loaf to enjoy with the Cobblestone Creek coffee.
We will definitely be back and will be sharing with our family and friends about the wonderful service and vacation homes you have for folks to enjoy.

What a Great time!!!
Boy did we have fun. Both cottages were fabulous! They had everything and more. Our ladies just kept being amazed every time they opened a door and saw something they'd love to have in their own home. From the Christmas theme to the sliding coffee machine in Black Bear, to bubble hockey in Cobblestone Cottage, to the warm blankets all over the place, to bathroom skylights and soft housecoats, everything was just perfect! Early January and we're having a BBQ, go figure.
The kids loved all the games. There was nothing like teaching kids to play old school board games like Sorry. Two deer came right up to the porch to drink water two of the mornings and again we all just watched in amazement. Both places were extremely comfortable, spacious and inviting. The weather was warm and we went on nature walks down to the railway tracks and ran into a couple of grouse. At Panorama, the skiing was icy as the weather got hot and it rained, but the top of the mountain was fine. Half the group did not have the skills for the top so we ended up in the Radium hot pools the next couple of days.
Thanks by the way for the Hot Spring pool passes.
So grand merci from all of us!...we're already hoping this becomes an annual event. -

From the very convenient reservation process right on through to the check-out, our family was treated as guests--not customers. Working with Matt and Kristen was so easy. They replied promptly and answered our questions professionally and courteously. As we walked through the front door, the cottage was all that the pictures show and then some. Our two kids were, of course, thrilled with the gaming systems, as well as the delightful cookies they found on their pillows! The cottage is decorated very warmly, and someone even put the time in to add beautiful autumn accents in and out side. We cooked our Thanksgiving meal here and the kitchen was more than adequate! As far as clean goes: better than many hotels we have stayed at! The beds were so very comfortable and warm after chilly after-dinner walks through the resort. The cottage's location lends itself to many outings. Not wanting to get too carried away with rushing around, our family soaked in the nearby Radium Hotsprings pool and took the drive to Ft. Steele to take in their Thanksgiving Celebrations. Other than that, we simply enjoyed our family time together, re-connecting again. It was bliss to be able to sit together for hours on end reading, playing games and laughing. Thanks to the Cobblestone team for the great effort they have put in to the cottage to enable relaxation and enjoyment for those who are fortunate enough to find this gem in the Rockies!

What an amazing place. You ask youself questions when you stay at other places, like "I wonder if they have a griddler here, or even a heating pad.." and you only have to open a drawer to find it. Matt and Kristen have done an amazing job of anticipating everyone's wants and needs.
Not only was the cottage equipped with everything you can imagine, but it was clean and up to date and so, so comfortable. My family stayed for 3 days and I found myself sad that we had to leave. It was like leaving your home. We left with many special memories, like sitting on the back porch in the evening with the heat lamp and blankets keeping us cozy to gathering at the huge table for dinners and laughs.
It was also nice having the hot springs so close by and the little shops of Radium to explore.
I am not used to the quiet like it was at night, but it was especially wonderful when my kids actually slept in with no noise to wake them!
My only regret was not staying longer. I am already imagining a winter get-away or coming in the fall when the leaves turn color. AhhhResponse from Matt and Kristen with Cobblestone Creek - 09/21/2011

A beautiful cottage escape with all the comforts of home. Actually, with the jet tub and espresso machine it has more comforts than my home! I loved sitting in the wooden chairs drinking coffee under the heat lamp and watching the birds play in the forest. It was very clean and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. The cottage was decorated beautifully and it was obvious that a lot of attention went into the details. All the cottages and RVs are in close proximity to each other so if you want complete seclusion you should keep this in mind. I found it quiet despite it being in a park .
A wonderful place to get away near lots of great outdoor activities and amenities. I would highly recommend. -

Calgary, ABKick your feet up. Everything is (very well) taken care of...
Left on 06/23/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Let me first say that I've vacationed at many cottages, from Hawaii to the Shuswap. Cobblestone is amazing, for so many reasons:
1. The drive from Calgary. It took me just over 2hrs to get from my doorstep to Cobblestone Cottage. It's a beautiful drive, there's just something about the mountains that relieve stress and invites relaxation.
2. The presentation of the cottage itself. From the moment you open the door, you know that time and passion have been invested into every detail at the cottage. The smell, furniture, finishings, the heated slate floor, amazing BBQ, wrap-around veranda, skylights in the master and shower, thick linens, comfortable beds... it's amazingly comfortable and so relaxing.
3. The little notes everywhere. Matt and Kristen have dropped professionally designed little tent cards throughout the cottage to help you understand how everything works and what to do. It gives you a sense of being well taken care of, and it's fun!
4. The area. From the forest out the kitchen window, the birds chirping in the morning, or sipping the morning coffee on the front porch. If you want a bit of action, you can always get out on the lake, set up a tee time at the amazing golf courses in the area, or hang out at a quiet cafe.
5. The people. It seems that everyone is so happy to get out of the city, everyone from the neighbors to the service staff at restaurants are cheerful and easy-going.
6. Cottage vs. Hotel. For starters, there just isn't a hotel room in the country with the feeling of Cobblestone, and yet you feel like you're in 5 star accommodations. Especially the beds and the linens.
Overall, I have absolutely nothing to complain about, congratulations on a beautiful cottage Matt/Kristen! This is luxury in the middle of the rustic Canadian Rockies. -
