      Convenient to the Best of Rancho Mirage

      Left on 01/03/2013 for a stay in January 2013

      Our rental was a great experience from booking the reservation to the end of our stay. Vickie and Trish from Vacation Rentals of the Desert were responsive and in fact directly responsible for our booking. I inquired about another property that wasn't available during our timeframe (we provided very short notice), so Trish suggested this Rancho Las Palms unit that was priced and located similarly. Paperwork and check-in arrangements were a piece of cake.

      It was convenient for us personally that we have friends that also vacation at the Rancho Las Palmas Country Club, but there's a lot to enjoy even if you don't know someone there. The unit is a comfortable walk from The River (an excellent dining, shopping and entertainment complex), the hotel situated nearby is lovely, and the grounds are well-kept. A heated pool and spa were located almost directly across from the unit and that was very convenient for our 3 kids, ages 11-6. Safe bike riding opportunities for them too, since the community is gated.

      The unit was even more attractive when we first saw it than it appeared in the photos. It's nicely and comfortably furnished, and the kitchen and wet bar have all the amenities you'll need to cook and entertain. While this is listed as a 2 bedroom unit, our son was perfectly comfortable sleeping in the den using the pullout (turns into a queen bed) sofa located there. Plenty of towels, sheets, blankets and extra pillows were provided - just bring your toiletries and extra paper goods or purchase them from the albertson's that's about 1.5 miles away.

      The patio in the front of the unit was a great place to have coffee and watch the golfers do their thing. Our family of 5 had plenty of room to rest and entertain. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again.
