I held a two-night bridal shower for my sister and 12 of our friends at this amazing house and it couldn't have been better. Pictures don't do the place justice -- the panoramic views from the living room/kitchen and the master bedroom upstairs are breathtaking. I am honestly not sure how Katy and her husband ever leave! The house is very open and provides the perfect setting for togetherness, and the hallways that open to the outdoor area and pool make the place even better. For the guests coming from out of town or just making the drive from San Diego, this was the perfect weekend getaway for a bunch of friends. I can't say enough good things about it!

We recently stayed in this amazing home. Words cannot express how great this home was. From the ease of speaking with the homeowner to feeling right at "home" immediately. My fiance and I rented the home for a weekend with ten of our closest friends. The house slept us all comfortably with six spacious rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was a dream to cook in with ample space and amenities- they were even kind enough to let us use pantry items as needed. The grill was great outside among the outdoor sitting areas, pool, Jacuzzi, deck and view. You couldn't hear a sound other than the surround sound music throughout the house of music to play from an iPod. The grounds were well landscaped and clean. We called the owners once throughout the stay to ask them a question about the Jacuzzi and they promptly answered the phone and our questions, not to mention they were very polite about it! The movie theater, ping pong and Foosball table were a hit. We left the house in mint condition as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we hope to rent it again soon. They provide a lengthy manual on operation of the entire home which came in handy.My only regret and disappointment with the house is that we did not stay long enough!

This large house was ideal for our 17 UK guests to stay for a week leading up to our Wedding which we also hosted at the house. For the wedding had 50 guests, including the owner, as we were so impressed with how helpful she had been in the lead up to us renting the house and allowing us to have the wedding there. Everyone had an amazing experience and we are all suffering with depression after leaving. The house has two large patios which are overlooking lake hodges and the surrounding mountains so the backdrop made for the most incredible photos. One patio we used for the ceremony and got married under the large gazebo, on the second patio we arrange the tables for a sit down meal and there was space for a dance floor. There was also a large room that we used as an indoor dance floor.
We also had the rehearsal dinner at the house and everything we needed to host parties and relax was available from ample glass wear and plates to pool towels. We also loved being able to play music throughout the house which set the mood to our Mexican night which 10 chefs competed in teh kitchen to make the best Salsa and Margarita's, using limes from the garden.
The master suite and bathroom was incredible and perfect for us to spend our first night as husband and wife. Â I loved waking up early and watching the morning mist rise from the magical mountains from the amazing master bedroom. We also listened to coyotes howling around the lake one night it truly is magical place.
Our wedding was made very special by the owners who allowed us to visit the property several times before renting it so we could make the necessary arrangements. They know the local area very well making suggestions for all the vendors we used. Katy even went the extra mile running out to get extra ice and serving wine to us whilst we had our sit down dinner at the wedding. -

We had a fantastic week here! The villa is stunning and the views are breath-taking! The villa has everything you need for that perfect holiday and the swimming pool is fantastic! There is ample space, very clean, We loved the hot tub, especially in the evenings. Even though the villa is in a fantastic location, with everything you would need from attractions to shops within half an hour, you don't actually ever have to leave the villa, the cinema room, games room, swimming pool and stunning views provided entertainment for everyone! The beautiful and relaxing surroundings made it the perfect location for a holiday retreat an the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to rent a villa in this location. I can't wait to go back!!!

We had our first all inclusive week long family vacation at Katy's villa this past June with 11 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of room for all to be comfortable and for play. We wish we spent more days just at the villa (we went to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and the beach). The views are breath taking with 3 separate patios with comfortable seating. We loved being the in the hot tub every night of our stay! The movie theatre was also a favorite amongst our group! We got some beautiful family photos taken with the lake, rolling hills, and lush flowers for a backdrop. The only thing we didnt care for were the spider webs and spiders here and there but we definitely hope to stay here again in the future.

When my parents booked their bi-annual trip from Honolulu to visit our family (specifically the grandkids) last month, we thought it might be fun to offer a decidedly different vacation experience. Rather than revisit the familiar favorite restaurants and attractions in our own area, we opted to rent a private home to serve as "home base" from which we would venture to attractions including the San Diego Wild animal Park.
With five adults and two young children traveling together, this home we rented proved to be a much more affordable and a considerably more comfortable alternative to a hotel.
This beautiful 7000-square-foot custom built villa features panoramic views of Lake Hodges from virtually every room, but with plenty of outdoor seating, it's a particularly great way to relax with a glass of wine to watch the incredible sunsets over the lake.
This Tuscan-inspired property encompasses all the comforts of home and then some: Wireless internet, a home theatre with state-of-the-art surround sound and hundreds of Dvd's to watch, an herb garden and vegetable garden (we picked fragrant, flavorful tomatoes for salads each evening) and fruit tree grove.
But the amenity we made the most use of by far was the pool and Jacuzzi - our kids were in the pool pretty constantly, which was a great way to keep them occupied as the adults watched over them while enjoying wine and barbecued meals.
The six bedroom, six bath home also provided the perfect layout to give everyone plenty of privacy. The fully outfitted kitchen was a popular place to congregate and combine entertaining and cooking.
The owner, Katy, was terrific to work with ... very friendly and responsive. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home ... we would definitely recommend to our friends and family!

We had a wonderful time. There were so many nooks in the house that even with our large group it never seemed crowded. The open floorplan spills right out on to the patio. We loved everything about the place. The view was beautiful. The hiking trails were fun. Wish we would have brought our mountain bikes to go for a ride.
We all enjoyed our stay. -

Our family group of ten had a great time. We hit all the major theme parks and this was a great place to come to at the end of the day. We loved to barbecue as the kids played in the pool.
