As two married couples from australia who stayed 5 nights at the Dodge Pond Hilton, we can thoroughly recommend this property. The views through the cathedral windows taking in Dodge Pond and the mountains behind is worth the rental cost by itself. The kitchen is very good and contains everything anyone would need when on holiday. The views from the first floor balcony were fantastic and it was a great place to sit and drink aperitifs after a hard days hiking in the absolutely beautiful country all around this property. The bedroom down stairs is the best one with the one in the loft suffering from a smaller double bed (although there are two single beds up there as well and we found one of them to be a useful addition with the smaller size of the double bed). The lack of a shower (although there is a bath and a toilet) at this level is also a bit disappointing. However, those views and the facilities (including the provision of the gas barbecue on the balcony) in the rest of the property make up for any deficiencies in the loft bedroom and bathroom. We would definitely stay here again when in Rangeley. This area is one of the most scenic we have ever been to anywhere in the world and well worth the visit.

Only down side was it is so close to the road...but we got over that. Besides we were there to ride motorcycles and it was easy access, even with a 28' trailer. The house is very well stocked, we only went out to eat once because it was so easy to Bar B Que and sit on the deck. The view over Dodge Pond provided a wonderful sunset every night.

This house has a beautiful view of Dodge Pond. It is equipped with everything you need and then some. We love the location for our annual spring fishing trip.

The cabin was very nice, but when I booked this property I was told it was snowmobile right to the door. There is no trail to this cabin!

I am SO sorry about the mistake. This property is great for our skiing clientele, but you are correct that it is not ideal to snowmobile from. We only try to market this property to skiing families, and we are not sure how it happened that you were booked in there. We will not let this mistake happen again.
