Cleveland, OHOne of the Nicer Cabins You'll Find in Rangeley!
Left on 02/18/2013 for a stay in February 2013
The cabin was large, clean, well insulated (for a cabin), comfortable and provided plenty of seating for everyone. Kitchenware was well stocked and in good condition. Everything that we needed was provided (except toiletries of course) so bring yourself, your clothes and a bathroom bag and you'll be set! Check in/out was very easy, quick and painless. The cabin is not quite on the lake but snowmobile trails are very close to the house and both Saddleback and Sugarloaf are well within driving distance. Wood for the fire was well stocked and covered with a tarp to prevent moisture. They even had dog/cat food and toys stocked in the cupboard!
The only downside was that although there was Wifi, we could not locate the wifi password anywhere. We arrived on the weekend when the office was closed and did not consider it an emergency so we lived without it, but I'm sure a call to the office during the week would have resolved that issue. -

PortlandGreat view close to town
Left on 02/05/2013 for a stay in January 2013
First time staying here but we absolutely loved it and already booked for next year. Very close to town we made it there in on in a half songs!! Snowshoeing on the Mingo Loop trails was awesome, serene and beautiful. The fireplace made it nice and cozy on our return from outdoors and the view was great! The only thing missing was baking sheets to cook appetizers on so wil remember that for next year!

South Yarmouth, MAGreat vacation at a great location!
Left on 02/27/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Service from Morton & Furbish was excellent. The cozy Wood Wind offers nice winter views of the lake and is nestled between the villages of Oquossoc and Rangeley. Snowshoeing, sledding, skating, skiing, and snowmobiling are all nearby or right from the back door. Winter vacation at Wood Wind in Rangeley made for some lasting memories.

Relaxing , clean retreat
Byfield MaRelaxing and comfortable

The Jessen was very clean and well stocked with every thing you would need to feel at home. However, it really was not conducive to boating or swimming with your family. The steep incline to the water made it very difficult to travel with children and anyone that is elderly. Once down on the dock, there was not an area to really wade, or sit. There was not much for the children to do within the house. I would recommend this house for a fall or winter stay, as I am sure it is very pretty in the snow. It would also be easier to make it down the incline with a ski mobile. It would be nice for empty nesters or older children that could drive to and from town. It would also be perfect for a romantic get away. We have stayed at many of the Morton Furbish properties and will continue to do so. Thank you.
