      Great location for snowmobiling

Left on 02/08/2013 for a stay in January 2013

The CedarDuct Cottage is an excellent sized cabin for a short getaway. 2 friends and I stayed in the CedarDuft Cottage for a 4 day/4 night snowmobiling vacation, Cottage was 100 feet from the trail which made it a very nice start to the day instead of dangerous road riding. Only Issue we had with the Cottage was the Master bedroom facing the pond has terrible air leaks coming in form the windows which made it impossible to keep your clothing in the room unless you wanted them to be ice the next morning, Master bedroom needs to have this looked at.

Left on 02/05/2013 for a stay in February 2013

place was very clean , appliances were new very nice place . I rented it for snowmobiling . Trail was across the street and down away . The only problem was the drive way it goes down hill and it was very icy even through they sanded it i could not park in the driveway because i have a 4 place covered trailer and I would not have gotten out of there

      Cozy, Clean and Quiet

Left on 08/21/2012 for a stay in August 2012

CedarDuft was just what we were looking for! We wanted a nice, clean quiet place and we found it. The cabin was well taken care of with a nice screened in porch perfect for taking advantage of the adirondack chairs with your morning coffee while looking out over the water. The cottage sits on a slope down to the pond. There are plenty of outdoor seating options and two kayaks. There are hiking trails not far, plenty of fishing - by lake, pond, or river. We enjoyed having smore's by the fire a few nights. There was even wood available. The ducks visited daily while we sat on the adirondack chairs on the dock. Quimby pond is quaint - the time of year did not lead itself to good fishing on the pond as it had been too hot however it was a big enough pond to get a good workout by kayaking around. Rangeley had several great restaurants which completely surprised us. I highly recommend the Corner Side Bistro. There is also a great farm stand - The Farmer's Daughter - which is only a 5 minute drive.

Right out of an LL Bean Catalog

Left on 07/06/2012 for a stay in June 2012

The "camp" more like a home,it was very nice. If I could have a camp in Maine this would be it. It had everything we needed. The screened in porch was great for reading or just relaxing in the evening. Town is only a few minutes drive from the camp. It was also fairly close to where I was fished.
Having the fexlibilty for renting the camp for 4 days (min 3 days) rather than a full week was important too us.

      Loony!

Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in August 2011

We had a fantastic time and the dog did too! I loved to hear the loon's from the bedroom at night and in the morning. It was a beautiful pond and a great place to practice yoga. The in house guide book had great suggestions and we took advantage of them with moose sightings, hikes, and angel falls. Great time had by all!

What a wonderful place for a vacation

Left on 08/08/2011 for a stay in July 2011

CedarDuft was a lovely little cabin with everything you could want for accomodations and for housekeeping. Having the cabin on the pond was definitely a bonus. Carrying our meals down to the picnic table to relax and watch the loons, ducks and kayakers was great. The kayaking was really good. Driving the roads around Rangeley gave us some lovely sights to see with all the hills and mountains in the area. Rangeley was a nice town to shop. We saw a few deer but never did see a moose.

The house, the dock, the kayak's, everything was what we always wanted in a vacation house. We've been to bigger ones in the area, different ponds and this by far was our most satisfying and relaxing. It was cozy and enough room for 6 of us including 2 teenagers. We love making memories in Maine and Morton & Furbish has been great the last 4 times we've rented. Keep up the good work!

Very nice medium sized cabin set on a quiet road and pond. The cabin was furnished very well with everything we needed for our stay. It was neat and clean and decorated nicely. We had fun going out in the provided kayak, playing games, hiking, and just relaxing together. The nearby town of Rangely was cute and charming and provided good places to eat, get ice cream, and visit unique Maine shops.

House is to close to the road, the water near the house is very shallow and there appeared to be evidence of a booming algae.

It was exactly the level of quiet and privacy we were hoping for

Left on 09/10/2010 for a stay in July 2010

The only disadvantage to mention is that we do not consider this property to be a swimming spot because of at least 8 ducks who live there and claim the dock as their own. Clearly, the ducks are being fed by other guests.

      Charming cabin, disappointing lake.

Left on 09/09/2010 for a stay in July 2010

The cabin is quaint and charming. Exceptionally clean and nicely appointed. Very comfortable, the cabin has everything you need. Quimby Pond itself was very nice to canoe and row, however, not a fishing lake. This was the main purpose of our stay. It is a fly fishing lake only, not a fish in sight. Disappointing to say the least. We did enjoy our stay in the cabin otherwise and found it quite relaxing.
