A great location for snowmobiling and like the pet friendly aspect. Nice fireplace with plenty of wood supplied. Realty office was very quick to respond to our requests. Would like to see a washer and dryer installed as it is a requirement for a week long stay. Biggest problem was the lack of end tables with lamps and floor lamps. It's impossible to read, write, play board games, cards, knit, or make a puzzle in the dark!!!
Cozy cabin located in a Maine winter wonderland!

We had a great time at Milligan in Rangeley Maine. The cabin was amazing on the inside, the open layout was awesome. The views of the mountain couldnt have been better. We also loved how close it was to downtown Rangeley. Morton and Furbish were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. The cabin was in perfect shape when we arrived, and stocked to the brim with fire wood. We had a small snowstorm when we were here and before we could call anyone we were plowed out. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to get away into the beautiful Maine woods.

Totally love it! The house was very big, clean and convenience. The only problem is the hot water tank was so small. If you will use a bathroom for 3 people continuing, you have to aware about the hot water. There is only one problem that you have to concern about. Otherwise we love this place.
excellent rental near Saddleback

We had a great weekend at the Milligan rental in Rangeley. The house is open and spacious with a large spread out kitchen which allowed us all to cook large meals for the group. The land and nearby trails were great for sledding and snowshoeing. In short we like the house enough that we are looking to return next winter for skiing and snowshoeing.
Our stay was absolutely perfect!

My family loved every aspect of the Milligan. The house and property are absolutely perfect for a family that snowmobiles with their children. The little kids could ride on the land before and after a trail ride. The house is perfect and has all the upgrades. It felt as if we never left our own house, which made for plenty of relaxation after out long trail rides. The owner, Jim, is a very classy man. He had to show the house during our stay, which didn not interfere with our visit, and left us a gift certificate to a local restaurant for what he thought was an inconvenience to us!!! Very nice gesture! I would highly recommend this house to any family that is new to snowmobiling/skiing and does not like the "cabin" lifestyle. This house will make you fell like your are right at home. Only minor issue is there is no washer and dryer and due to the fact that it is a log cabin, the heating system tneds to be loud as noise travels. We hope to rent it agains next year!!! Thanks
Awesome very tranquil place

This is a unique home with a beautiful view.
The home is stunning and very well done. A grand stone fireplace to warm your toes. Full kitchen with a butler pantry, high end appliances make you feel like you don't mind cooking on vacation. The furnishings are comfortable, woodwork tile work and general design elements of the home are beautiful. There's even a game room in the basement . Top notch ! Would have no hesitation to stay again . Wonderful setting and home.

Too close to the road!

House is very rustic. Internal layout is designed to sleep a maximum # of skiers (6 in the master bedroom alone!). We (four adults and a cocker spaniel pup) were just looking to hangout and relax for the week. The wireless internet which was advertised was not accessible. Aside from the dining room table there was no horizonal surface (like a desk) to setup and work from. For four adults who tried to watch the Olympics, there were only three seats (2 on the sofa and one
on the recliner) as the log rocker is a nice decorative touch but after 10-15 mins it is uncomfortable. Kitchen eq needs to be organized so you can find things that go together. Pans need to be replaced as someone used them to set fence posts and the lids are missing. I would never buy a Jenn-Aire stovetop as it was impossible to cook sausage on one burner and make scrambled eggs on another (house appears to be on propane tank - so maybe burners are wrong?)
We had an enjoyable week but as I said in the one liner above - the road noise was horrible. Logging trucks (starting at 3am) and motorcycles until sunset!

I would definately stay there again. It has a great deck with a wonderful view.We were there for a family reunion and had plenty of room for everyone to visit. The only thing is
that we wished it had a washer and dryer.I think this would be a great place to stay in the fall.
