Marvellous for families or groups of friends

Left on 10/23/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed a week with our twin boys (7 years old) at the Chateau and it was everything we could have wished for! Both Helene and Madame and Monsieur Darneau were extremely helpful. The grounds and the facilities were just simply perfect. As can be expected in Normandy the weather wasn't very varm, so the heated pool under the glass canopy was a thrill to the kids. Most recommended!

      Absolutely Wonderful

Left on 08/12/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We chose to stay at the Chateau de Guernon-Ranville on the recommendation of my sister and brother in law who had stayed there several years ago. We found the Chateau to be a perfect, truly relaxing place to stay with our two teenagers. We used the Chateau as a base from which to go see all of the things the area has to offer, from the D-Day landing beaches to the famous resort towns such as Deauville and Honfleur. Returning in late afternoon was like coming home - total independence. The pool was a perfect place to relax for a couple of hours at the end of the day prior to having dinner. We so enjoyed being there that we opted to eat in on most of our nights there though some wonderful restaurants are just down the street.

We stayed in the Grand Large which we found to be an extremely comfortable two bedroom duplex apartment. We all wish we could have taken the beds with us!!!

In summary, there is not one negative thing that any of us can think to say about this wonderful place or its wonderful owners.

      Rural Normandy

Left on 06/14/2011 for a stay in March 2011

My husband and I rented "La Confidante" while visiting with family who rented a larger suite at the same location. Our space was generous for two and could easily accomodate four. Our suite was well equipped, comfortable, and we enjoyed having both indoor and outdoor eating spaces. The Chateau is steeped in history, and located in Ranville, a beautiful little village, centrally located in Normandy. A lovely quite spot to come to after a day of touring neighbouring tourist destinations. The owners are very gracious and can provide valuable information about touring Normandy. The grounds and facilities (pool, tennis courts, suites) are spacious and well kept. I recommend a car to truly appreciate this location and rural France.

Superb chateau and a fun family holiday

Left on 05/31/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the chateau and would highly recommend it. The rooms were spotless and extremely well equipped. The pool, tennis courts, playground and games room kept us all entertained and the warmth and hospitality of Roland and anna was amazing.
